Gene Taylor was quoted on radio saying NDSU will NOT move up in the current FBS because he doesn't want to play in a no-name bowl which every team that moves up will most likely play in, plus NDSU is in a bad situation as is Montana and Montana State if they move up due to geography. The MAC and Sun Belt is their only options for NDSU and the SB and MWC for the Montanas. I don't think the SB will take NDSU and as for the MAC, I doubt it since NDSU wouldn't have the funds especially for the non-football sports to be competitive. As for the MWC they may take the Montana's (they fit in the footprint), but without the WAC going FBS up here will be tough.

Both are right. Good coaching by Lennon but good recruiting by RT. You need both to go hand in hand. Currently we may have good players but if the coaching sucks the team isn't going anywhere, and vice versa.

It was RT's recruits that got Lennon that ring in 2001.

So when did Muss start to fail with the team, was it the butt kicking by the Vandals or the loss to Sioux Falls, or the blowouts last year to MSU and EWU. I was on the fence with Muss even after the USF loss, winning a share of the GWFC gave us hope but I totally lost faith last year seeing how pathetic our defense was. We held Texas Tech to 38, UM to 27 in Missoula, and 21 in Brookings, but now our defense can't stop anyone. Giving up over 50 points in a game is pathetic and Muss needs to go as of yesterday.

I made this thread after getting thumped by Idaho. Things have gone from worse to pathetic.
