Winning affects attendance, Bison fans think they are immune to this, but if they had subpar teams for 6 years straight their attendance would suffer too, and proof of that was their 3-8 season and the beginning to their 2010 season.

NDSU hasn't seen tickets this hot ever. Surely not when the dome opened (1993) so it only took 17 years or so to do what the new REA has seen since 2001. I am just comparing number 1 sports. When the football team gets up and running we will have games over 10k all the time, just look at the excitement in 2008 over 10k against Texas A&M-Kingsville and St Cloud St then Muss drove the team to the ground.

Comparing DI playoffs vs DII playoffs are not the same. Winona vs a DI team?? Plus number 1 sport vs number 2 sport. Maybe it would be comparable if UND had a 16 year home playoff drought then finally hosting a playoff game in the highest division in football vs another DII playoff game.

Your playoff game (the first ever in the dome) was horrible for attendance while at the same time UND was sold out against Notre Dame. DI playoffs vs DII playoffs is different, also I didn't know at Frisco 4 teams play for a chance at a NC, and have 4 schools splitting up the tickets...when did that change?

You guys had games in 2010 coming off of your 3-8 season that was pretty empty not to mention the less than stellar turnout at the first playoff game in the Fargodome.

Since every year they can't go undefeated and to the playoffs it will be interesting how long the lines will be to get a ticket. Winning = attendance

I have yet to see UND with roughly 5600 attendance for a game in the REA but I have seen the Fargodome with half their attendance as soon as 2010. Boy has the bandwagon grown.

I agree. We should be playing all 3 Dakota teams every year. Also get Omaha too, anything to keep the Mayville's and Minot's off the schedule.

I hope we get more DI teams at home, last year I believe it was just NDSU and SDSU, same with the women they only got NDSU and South Dakota at home.

The best Florida teams are all in the south..the Hurricanes and the Miami Dolphins!!

I don't think that will be a problem since he did upset his mother earlier this year when he said he was a UND fan and not a Bison fan. He liked Saul Phillips a lot since Saul was his baseball coach and his son was my son's teammate now with them in Ohio the love for NDSU basketball ( the only sport he liked of NDSU) is gone. If I wanted him to go to a baseball school it would not be any school where most of the games are on the road and half are cancelled due to snow or cold. But I do see where you are going with that.

Why not just change the name to the Natives, Tribe, Indians, Braves and keep the logo the same. Its a compromise and maybe this sh*t show will go away. Just like in Cleveland, the Indians are slowly getting away from Chief Wahoo (glad I have lots of Wahoo hats), by going with a big C. Nothing is being said about changing the nickname but just changing the logo or even using it less makes that sh*t show they would have in Cleveland go away.

I don't get that. Why shouldn't you be required to show ID when voting. You show ID to buy tobacco, alcohol, writing a check, etc. Its no big deal. If you don't have an ID, go get one, its not that difficult to do.

Or he's a Bison fan and its a slam towards UND. Hawley is between Fargo, and Detroit Lakes, he knows UND is DI.

I don't care much about Fox with their reporting...I do like the "foxes" on that channel.

It's a pitching machine which is probably better than the underhand slow pitch from the park district guy that happens now. I found out another kid on his team is also going out for Babe Ruth next year so he'll know one kid. I help him practice and he likes to go see the FM Redhawks. I told him to watch their stance at the plate and to see where they line up on the field. Future Travis Hafner!!
