Prior to 2005 what would or could the NCAA do if we had an Indian nickname. Well in 2005 we saw what they can do, it's their club and if they say have a nickname or face sanctions do we pick a name or apply for the NAIA?

People felt 2012 wasn't time for a new name but 2015 will be time to choose one, now people are saying 2015 isn't time make it 10 years (2025). People aren't going to be happy with a new name and if it prevents people from attending or cheering on UND then there are other schools around the region to cheer for.

10 years? So in 2024 we can have this same discussion and give it another 5-10 years after that. No one will be happy because it's not the Fighting Sioux we all understand that. But there comes a time where you have accept that a new name will be chosen, and that time is now.

I guess some people forgot the baggage that nickname did bring especially after we lost tribal approval like recruiting (Dale Lennon said this), conference affiliattion (Big Sky Conference, if we brought the name back who says Fullerton wouldn't think about booting us out since they have Idaho back). The name is retired, you can still wear your Sioux gear whenever you want but a new name will be picked next year. If you don't support the teams after that because of the name, you aren't a fan of UND because no matter what nickname is picked the name North Dakota will NEVER change.

Why isn't it? A school with a NA nickname taken away and had to be replaced. You think Alumni of GFC was thrilled to have the school be Knights back in 94?

I can't wait until a name is chosen and this issue can be put to bed forever. Central is going on 10 years with a new name and it's grown on people, the same may happen at UND.

I see it as CC won and NDSU lost so they should change places. UNH is just kinda caught in the middle. I think NDSU will win out and get seeded anyways. Bison fans shouldn't worry about a road playoff game anyways, anyone, anywhere right?

So far this year you are beatable and Coastal isn't, so they are more deserving unlike what BA thinks.
