A little more than that, maybe 20. I even saw the guy who runs with the flag at the Alerus Center after a score. I didn't hear any Sioux suck Sh&t, or F the Bison. A nice clean crowd. Always good when little ones are around.

Great job at the FT line that helped a lot, nice job not letting the Bison get back into the game early in the second half. Undefeated in their new building, has a nice ring to it!

I can agree about the aisles. Not much leg room. Arena has a lot of empty seats, and thanks to UND's game play they are keeping the place quiet with the exception of us UND fans clapping and cheering.

Someone on FB commented that they did that to UND. What on the scoreboard did they not allow UND to do? I don't get this rule at all.

I-29 closed from Fargo to Canada. Is the team in Fargo, or would they wait til the interstate opens tomorrow.

Schools are opening their gyms up at Ft. Yates and other cities on the Rez. I am sure tribal elders and parents will be pissed to learn their kids have no gym class since they have to house out of state protesters.

So the REA needs to rename their store? I don't see that happening from them.

I wear Sioux gear but call them the Fighting Hawks. I will never get rid of my Sioux gear, but have and will buy more Fighting Hawks gear. I support UND no matter what name they are called.

I see it on Facebook in different UND sports pages someone will say go Fighting Hawks and someone else comments this *Sioux, or you mean Fighting Sioux. If the person meant Sioux they would have put it.

On the news a protester said we are staying and we are prepared for winter. Oh really, camping in -20 is not like camping when its 70 above. Water lines freeze, gas runs out, porta potties fill up pretty quick. I didn't vote for Trump, but I hope he keeps his word and continues the pipeline when he takes office. I also think he will get more people involved, maybe even the military to clear out that camp. Also has Doug Bergum said anything about the pipeline/protesters? For a guy who is taking over I would think I would hear his opinion on things.

No there isn't a Fighting Hawks cheer at a football game, but at the Alerus there is a spot to buy Hawks gear, how much Hawks gear is available at the Sioux shop in the REA? After a TD there are fireworks and a Hawk screech. Is there a Hawks screech after a goal? The Alerus has embraced the nickname a lot more than the REA. Bubba is seen wearing a Hawks cap, hawks shirt. I don't think I have ever seen Brad Berry with anything Hawk related. I guess next year we will see if the REA and Fighting Hawks hockey is ready to embrace the new name with a Hawk on center ice, a Hawk on the jersey, and Hawks gear in the Sioux shop. Like I said give it about 5 years.

Seeing that the ND is being retired after this season and new jerseys will be issued. You can almost guarantee a hawk on there after the football and basketball teams have Hawks on their helmets and shorts. Fighting Hawks is the nickname whether the die hard Sioux or nothing fans like it or not.

I give it another 5 years after that it should be down to a small chirp or a whisper. Once Hawk jerseys show up on the ice it will sink in a little at a time.

He is. We should be very lucky to have a great coach like him. From 3-8 in 2013 to 9-3 in 2016, thats a hell of a turnaround.

At the beginning of the year focus was getting to the playoffs (winning the BSC was a great bonus) now with this much experience coming back we need to not only knock off Montana in Missoula but beat EWU at the Alerus, win the BSC outright and get playoff wins. An FBS win at Utah would be amazing! Is it August 31st yet?

Attendance will keep growing as long as we are in the playoffs every year. Excitement will keep building especially when we get a playoff win. What we can't do is go down a Muss hole again.

I credit Richmond for hitting our weakness which is special teams and the long ball. I was waiting for a pick 6 late in the game but their receivers were so open it was horrible to watch. Special teams is bad, Seibel is not good as a punt returner. He fumbled once luckily recovered and bobbled a couple more times. We need better punt blocking it looked like a flashback to Stony Brook on that block. Now as for Bubba....great job getting this team a share of the conference title, a playoff berth, and generally getting fans to talk about football again. I can't wait to see this team in action next season and get another berth into the playoffs. Congrats Bubba and the Fighting Hawks!!

It's nice to get that first tournament game under your belt so you know what to expect next year. Something to grow on.
