  1. I've added dates to the other thread on schedule 2008-09. Getting lots to add, whole schedule should be up by this weekend.
  2. Mankato at REA Feb.13-14, called her back.
  3. OCT.17-18 SIOUX IN MANKATO ( called their office and that is what they told me.) My goal is have the whole schedule by Friday.!
  4. Thanks and the game is in the TC?
  5. If they tear down the Old Ralph, I want some seats for my back yard bar-b-que area! I wonder if they would sell the seats? Now there is a fund raiser project. My favorite sounds from the old one were the glass bottles getting kicked over and everyone looking at me...err I mean the guy next to me.
  6. Please translate... I'm not up on the current code. (omfg) Does this mean we play the Gophers that weekend?
  7. I called the UND hockey office yesterday and was trying to get information on a possible game over Homecoming. She just said, no they are away that weekend. She did say we are home on Oct.31-Nov.1.
  8. Last year single game SCSU tickets went on sale Sept.17. I just called their office and she said they move it up to the end of August. I will be getting tickets through a season ticket holder because they can buy more during the summer. If anyone wants, I can get some extras. Last year I bought 16. The Sioux will play in St.Cloud on Jan. 30-31,2009. The Sioux will play in Bemidji on Jan.2, 2009.
  9. I would still go.... great games and always wanted to see DC in the Spring. The other times I've been there it's been in the middle of the summer or in November.
  10. My wife and I have already decided it would be a great trip. It's Easter break that weekend much like a year ago when I went to St. Louis so I will not have to miss work. DC has a lot of history and lots to do for free with the museums. Great Frosh class coming in next fall and I'll be thinking positive about our chances. My new hobby these coming weeks is trying to piece together what our schedule will be. Already was able to post the SCSU and BSU games . (check 2008-09 schedule. )Go Sioux
  11. January 2nd in Bemidji and January 3rd in Grand Forks with the Beavers
  12. Welcome back AZ. It's been brutal on the boards since the game. You might want to skip reading most of the threads. Looking forward to next season too and also your WCHA contest you put together each week.
  13. Just Curious.....if a bunch of students from West Hall Dorm are loud with a party, does it make the newspaper? Or a bunch of med school students living in an apartment off campus get their names in the paper if they are having a party? Just curious.Maybe the GF police are never able to make it to Fan Night at the REA and wanted an autograph from these players on the ticket they sign.
  14. Thanks Coaches, Players, stat people, trainers, equipment room people, strength coaches and all the others behind the scenes for your dedication during the season and during the off season. These people give a lot of their time each year and I'm thankful for the great entertainment they provided. It was an awesome ride and for myself that works with a lot of SCSU, U of M and UMD fans it was fun to still be wearing my jersey on Fridays to work when the others had put their jerseys away for the season many weeks ago. Looking forward to next October already! Go Sioux!
  15. I'm sad too from the outcome of the game, but I think many fans have gotten spoiled over the years with the playoff success and getting to the Frozen Four. We always want more which has led to many to start pointing fingers and playing the blame game. Right now I'm very thankful for: A university with a great hockey tradition, a faithful fan base that travels well with the team during the season, the best venue to watch a hockey game in, and yes, getting to still be playing in April while so many teams and fans hung up their jerseys many weeks ago. There are many, many teams that have never made the NCAA tourney much less won a game in it or have made the Frozen 4. My advice is to reflect on some of the positives we have going for us.
  16. Think about all the teams that started their "off season" threads on uscho over a month ago. I'm proud of this team and they provided a lot of excitement during the year. Thanks for your hard work and getting us into Frozen 4 again.
  17. Sometimes a change of venue is a good thing. When I had teams make it to the state (9 times) we would practice in different areas the week before and the athletes said it helped them get out of the "same old, same old " routine. Love the Rocky example someone shared. WHEN we are successful one week from tonight, this might become a tradition.
  18. I should have asked before but what month do they play the Icebreaker? Thanks.
  19. Great Lakes Invite is played in Detroit, but where is the Icebreakers games played? Thanks
  20. Home vs. SCSU on Dec.12-13 At SCSU on Jan.30-31 2009
  21. Last year I went to St. Louis and bought my tickets on Ebay. I have bought a lot of things on that site and have always been happy. When I got to St.Louis there were a lot of tickets for sale and I from what I remember there were empty seats in the arena during the games. If I had the time off from work I would take the bus and trust that tickets will be there when you get to Denver. Or I would be trying the ebay route. I'm guessing there are a lot of CC and Denver fans still trying to get rid of their tickets. Keep checking this site and also look on uscho site. Good luck but I wouldn't worry. Have fun and cheer loud for us that can't go.

  23. Just remember this type of humor started a riot in the east when they said we were being invaded from outer space on October 31st many many years ago. Not funny Orson!
  24. We (my wife and I) were at the games too and were surprised at the number of tickets for sale outside the arena on Sunday and the dusty empty seats all around. Watching the goal scored and seeing the Sioux raise their sticks as it went in while seeing the mass of red leave the building was like Moses lifting his staff with the Red Sea parting! After the game we made our way near the tunnel. Haks came by the faithful Sioux fans with double arms pumping. As the players came through my wife gave Oshie a high five and his glove came off and the next thing I knew she was holding it! I shouted "give it back give it back!" Oshies eyes just lit up and the smiles were great from this group as they headed towards their locker room. Sad to say after attending 19 games in person this year we can't make the trip to Denver. Oh and the ride home from Madison this a.m. was very quiet. Both of us had almost no voice left from last night. It was a great weekend. Finish the Mission Sioux!
