I hope he does come back to UND. I have heard through a friend that works with the hockey team that this young man has a lot of character and is a great person. He has worked very hard in the rehab from the injuries.

Thanks for 3 years of playing Sioux Hockey. Whenever I see #7 on a sweater, I'll think of you playing hard.

The home church I attended while there was shut down by the police the week after I left to travel to the NE part of China. It was interesting to see the censorship on the internet there. Doing a google search in China and in the USA, you come up with some big differences, ie Tiananmen Square. I was however able to check this website while there so I was thankful! On an interesting note: When my wife and I were on a train up near her home town which is close to Russia we were in the same train car as a group traveling from Russia. The Russians had a Chinese guide which spoke Russian and Chinese. I wanted to see if the Russians were hockey fans so in English I asked my wife to ask the guide in Chinese who translated it to Russian if they were hockey fans. It was really fun because they were and of course they had to talk about the Olympic success of their program. It made the 12 hour ride more fun to talk with them but I think the guide was bored with the conversation!

I wanted to play last summer in this but was in China. I think I'll try to sign up for it this year since I'll be around.

I was hoping that they would keep SCSU on their schedule but the Huskies have already posted their schedule and the Sioux are not on it.

I'm willing to write a letter summarizing some of the great ideas on this thread. My only question is "Who do I send the letter to?"

With all of the suggestions,is there anyone on this thread that could or would write them into an organized letter and send it to the ones that could make the changes? I saw some very good ideas on here and sometimes that's all it takes is a letter written well that offers some suggestions. If anyone knows of the address and who it should be sent to, please post it on this thread. My favorites: 1-Posting of the scores from around the WCHA 2-Organized cheers but not quite to the extreme of the Wisconsin fans (I was there for the Regional and thought it was over done) but they seemed excited. 3-Stop PA announcements at bad times 4-More band along with an occasional walk through the halls between periods playing the school song. 5-Reminder to people to stay in their seats when puck is in play.

Thank goodness they do a better job with the swimsuit issue than that article!

Your welcome. My older sister was a reporter for the Bangor Maine Daily News many years ago and she gave me some tips on how to get some answers. I did notice I only have Wisconsin down once. If we're suppose to play them twice then maybe they go in the last weekend . I'll try and find out..

I've already looked in hotels in Detroit, airfare too. It's over Christmas break for me that is on my Christmas list! I posted under schedules what I have found out in the last few days. I'm doing Kato too since it's Oct.17-18, roads should be good at that time of the year.Only found one series for Wis. and that is in GF on Oct.31-Nov.1

OCT.17-18 SIOUX IN MANKATO ( called their office and that is what they told me.) My goal is have the whole schedule by Friday.!

If they tear down the Old Ralph, I want some seats for my back yard bar-b-que area! I wonder if they would sell the seats? Now there is a fund raiser project. My favorite sounds from the old one were the glass bottles getting kicked over and everyone looking at me...err I mean the guy next to me.

I called the UND hockey office yesterday and was trying to get information on a possible game over Homecoming. She just said, no they are away that weekend. She did say we are home on Oct.31-Nov.1.

Last year single game SCSU tickets went on sale Sept.17. I just called their office and she said they move it up to the end of August. I will be getting tickets through a season ticket holder because they can buy more during the summer.If anyone wants, I can get some extras. Last year I bought 16. The Sioux will play in St.Cloud on Jan. 30-31,2009. The Sioux will play in Bemidji on Jan.2, 2009.

I would still go.... great games and always wanted to see DC in the Spring. The other times I've been there it's been in the middle of the summer or in November.
