  1. I think we turn it around. The game is mirroring the day today. gfhockey was late starting the GDT, and as such, the team had a slow start to the game. 4-2 SIOUX w/an ENG
  2. Does anyone know what conference the refs will be from?
  3. Better yet, let's be true capitalists and sell the nickname rights. We could be: The North Dakota Verizon Fighting V's The North Dakota Freaks - Freaky Fast and sponsored by Jimmy Johns The North Dakota Budweiser Storming Clydesdales - Unique and representative of UND! The North Dakota Grinders - Sponsored by the Red Pepper Sell the rights for 5 years at a time. New revenue to support the school and new merchandise sales every few years from people having to keep up with the new logos.
  4. Every other skater is accounted for, so I'm gonna go ahead and confirm Anas is out there in a non-contact jersey.
  5. I looked through my old band recordings and none of them included it at the end, but here's the words for it. This would be chanted as an extension of the fight song after hockey goals and football touchdowns. Percussion would continue playing for it, but no other instruments played. D-A-K, O-T-A, NORTH. DAKOTA. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SIOUX! Scratch that - you can hear it at about the :30 mark of this video:
  6. Stafford seems to be turning things around in Winnipeg - he's on a 7 game point streak with 9 points in those 7 games. (4G, 5A, +6) http://espn.go.com/nhl/player/gamelog/_/id/3327/drew-stafford
  7. PS - Gametime is listed as 7:07 on the tickets and online: http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=58684&SPID=6405&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=209907748 http://www.undsports.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&SPID=6405&SPSID=58682&DB_OEM_ID=13500 http://www.ticketmaster.com/search?tm_link=tm_homeA_header_search&aid=821823&user_input=university+of+north+dakota+hockey&q=University+of+North+Dakota+Mens+Hockey
  8. How about UND buys out Stony Brook and gives NDSU the home game they want for 2016 in return for NDSU agreeing to come to Grand Forks in 2019?
  9. Article from the Raleigh newspaper highlighting Malone and his effort this season. (and the sandwich, of course) http://www.newsobserver.com/2015/02/09/4543289/malone-fourth-line-provides-more.html
  10. As a heads up for any hat throwing individuals - the last hat trick I saw at the Ralph, they had all the hats in a box outside the security office after the game.
  11. Friday: Nick S. Saturday: Jordan S. Feeling Schmaltzy.
  12. Chris Porter got in the lineup for the Blues last night and made the most of his 11 minutes on the ice - GWG, 1A, & 2nd Star
  13. Anyone know why the UND club team doesn't show in the WCCHA standings or national rankings? Is this a "transitional" year?
  14. Brad Malone mixed it up with Brayden McNabb of the Kings last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a10tU-C2woE#t=57
  15. New idea - the teams who make the Frozen Four get to host regionals the next year at the arena of their choosing and get a share of the profits. Thoughts?
  16. I had them in my cart, put in my payment info within the 10 minutes allowed, and when I went to process it, the site said I had taken too long! Meanwhile, gobs of seats remain for the other three regionals...
  17. Thank you for picking out my bad example. How excited would NDSU fans be to play them? Making a road trip to Georgia in your fan bus is bound to be just as fun as a road trip to Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Etc. Going to FBS in a conference with regional ties would be one thing. Going FBS in a conference with no familiar foes and no teams remotely close would be a terrible idea for NDSU.
  18. Going FBS is more than likely a terrible idea for NDSU. Just ask Appalachian state. I'm sure their fans are really loving a 2-5 start and games vs. Campbell, South Alabama, Ga. Southern, and many other exciting teams. Related, see App. State appear as the #3 team on last week's "Bottom 10" on ESPN IMO - A big part of what makes college football great are the conference rivalries developed over years of play. Jumping to FBS within a decade of moving from D-II to FCS would be bad enough; but that move would also be followed by years of poor results, diminished attendance, and eventually, dropping back down to FCS. (or whatever exists at that point in time) Being a top-tier FCS team is that NDSU needs to work on continuing to be. Recruits aren't going to give up on being a backup at a B1G school to start at a bottom-feeder. Recruits that leave bigger programs for NDSU are doing it because they want to win. Eliminate the winning by moving to FBS, the talent will disappear.
