  1. You put the 2015 or the 2016 App state teams in the SEC and I’d would be willing to bet they’d have been over .500 in the SEC.
  2. Did App state move to the SEC? Also, App state has been extremely successful in their move up to FBS, look at 2015 and 2016. I don’t follow them closely, so I couldn’t speak to why they are having a down year this year, but by and large they been doing very well in FBS football.
  3. One has to wonder why you didn’t use Boise state as the example
  4. Whew! I just checked my phone and thank God I made it in before the hour deadline. I agree with you actually. To say that NDSU or any other top FCS team would compete week in and week out in a P5 conference isn’t correct if you ask me. The disparity in scholarships and depth of talent would eventually wear the FCS team down and they would have a very difficult time being competitive late in the year. That being said, I also believe that if you put a top FCS team in that P5 conference with the same scholarship situation and the same Home/away situation as a real member of that conference, I think they could be above .500 in that conference most years.
  5. If trolling equals backing up statements with facts by quoting the posts I was referring to, then I suppose I would be trolling.
  6. Hard to predict much past the upcoming year. I couldn’t even tell you who NDSU’s starting quarterback will be the next time NDSU and UND play. Given the current trajectories of each team, it’s hard for me to not predict an NDSU win in 2019, but that could change in an instant. My guess is Kleiman will get some serious looks following this year if the right jobs are open, so NDSU may even have a new staff in 2018 or 2019.
  7. Same reason you are I’d imagine, to discuss topics that I find interesting.
  8. Isn’t the above what 90% of the posters on this board have been saying for the past 2 months? I’m not making outrageous claims, nor am I here to pour salt in your wounds. You, along with others, made a ridiculous claim about Utah following that game and I thought it would be interesting to revisit how good Utah really was this year now that the season played out. Then, you asked for my opinion on the next time UND and NDSU play, I told you I thought UND would have a new coaching staff the next time they play. For some reason, me saying what countless others on this board have said is trolling.
  9. You may want to read back a few months on this board and tell me again how uninformed I am about the O line optimism. Reyes won’t be getting a medical redshirt.
  10. http://www.undsports.com/SportSelect.dbml?SPSID=58644&SPID=6399&Q_SEASON=2018 My apologies, I was using the above page as my reference. Is the above schedule then the rest of the OOC schedule for 2018?
  11. I’m not a professional blogger, I don’t have an obligation to post my opinions on every FCS team publicly. I adopted the level of optimism that UND’s fanbase had heading into the year and given your QB was a four year starter and I had been told by many people I trust to know UND’s program that the offensive line would be improved, I understood the optimism so I bought it. Not saying I expected UND to compete for a national championship, but I honestly thought they would be a playoff team this year. Believe me or don’t, doesn’t matter to me. As far as my 2018 prediction when I say it’ll be Bubba’s last year, is that really even that outlandish? Others have said that if you don’t make the playoffs next year he’ll be gone, I just happen to agree. Given UND’s schedule, I believe you’ll start 0-2 and will be battling uphill the rest of the year and miss the playoffs.
  12. Why wouldn’t I be back? I’m fact, when UND and NDSU are playing yearly I’ll post here more often, not less. My honest prediction for UNDs foreseeable future isn’t optimistic. I thought this year(2017) was a year that UND had a chance to make some noise. I think there are some rough years ahead if I’m being honest. Real prediction: UND will have a new head coach the next time they play NDSU.
  13. Really out on a limb with that prediction, “it’s coming”. So at any future date when UND beats NDSU, your prediction will be correct. Got it. Since they’ll be playing at least once a year for the foreseeable future, I feel pretty confident in saying UND will win a game vs NDSU in the future.
  14. I understand that you said that. But at least acknowledge you also said that this years Utah team is FAR better than last year’s Iowa team. And now that both seasons have played out, all objective measures would point to the opposite.
  15. I’m just giving you a little grief. So I’m not coming at you directly, but you did say “utah is far better than the Iowa team that NDSU beat last year”, in addition to saying that they had better players. Btw, that QB that Iowa had that isn’t as good as the QB that Utah had is starting in the NFL as a rookie.
  16. So number of NFL players is the criterion for a better college team? Not wins and losses or some other measure that shows how well a team plays together? Its ok to just admit that all of the “this Utah team is incredible” talk was premature.
  17. You are the one who brought up the comparison, but you are now saying they are meaningless. Which one are you going to go with?
  18. But as I said, they lost by three, on the road to your likely champion. If anything all it shows is how up and down UNI has been this year, not how comparable the two conferences are. This same UNI team got beaten handily by NDSU and essentially dominates SDSU. They are very inconsistent. Good enough to beat anyone when they are on, bad enough to lose to anyone when they aren’t.
  19. ...1 win and 1 loss That loss was a three point loss on the road to your conference’s likely champion. Odd choice for an example when trying to show the Big Sky is equal to the MVFC.
  20. I agree with you saying next year will be the make or break year for this UND staff, but if you are going to compare this situation to the NDSU 2009 situation, I think some very important differences should be pointed out between the two situations. 1st, Bohl had already built a TON of equity with the fanbase and the boosters by having two back to back 10-1 seasons, the historic 2003 win at Montana, NDSU’s first FBS win in 2006 over Ball state, a win over the MAC champion Central Michigan in 2007 and the program shifting win in 2007 over Minnesota. One could argue Bubba has equity with the fanbase as well, but as a coordinator moreso than the head coach. 2nd, I’m not one for moral victories, a loss is a loss, but being blown out in multiple games is a much different scenario to me than losing 4 games by less than 7 points. I’ll post the links below, if anyone cares to peruse each season to compare. Again, I agree that the prudent thing for the UND fanbase is to give it one more year before calling for Bubba to be removed, but using NDSUs ‘09 season as analogous to UND’s 2017 season is being unfair to the portion of your fanbase that is genuinely disgusted with the manner in which UND played this year in those losses. http://www.gobison.com/mobile/schedule.aspx?schedule=46 http://www.undsports.com/SportSelect.dbml?SPID=6399&SPSID=58644
  21. Are you consciously aware of how non-sensical your arguments are? You are arguing both sides of this and the sad part is, I don’t think you know it.
