  1. OOC FCS teams on the road, during the regular season, when venus was in the 3rd house and the opposing qb was left handed and there is a democratic president and my friend steve is wearing his lucky underwear? How many qualifiers do you need before you are satisfied? The answer is they are 2-1 in OOC regular reason FCS road games. All against Big Sky opponents. Weber, Montana, Eastern Washington. Unless I missed one.
  2. Why is everyone so eager to see NDSU away from the Dome? They have a better winning percentage on the road than they do at home since 2011.
  3. No doubt they are doing something right, we’ll see how it plays out, but as of now I don’t see a deep run type of team. I think they lose to SDSU and NDSU due to style of play.
  4. Fair enough. What is your take on them repeating almost exactly what happened the week before and almost losing the game as a result this time? My take is they don’t have a running game outside of Streveler and they’re defense is susceptible in a lot of ways. The reason the offense hits the pause button at times is they only run a few plays for Strveler and coming out of halftime other teams are scheming to beat those plays and they don’t have any alternative offense to turn to. I think they are very good, but I see them losing 2-3 games the rest of the way and winning a first round game in the playoffs and then getting bounced.
  5. You don’t really believe it happened after the game do you? Hahaha
  6. Deep breaths, in through the nose, out through the mouth. Injuries are real, they affect the outcome of the game, I’ve always been consistent on that. I haven’t been one who has been critical of UND’s injury situation. You’re the one who has inconsistent logic here. Injuries to UND’s starters matter, but a throwing hand injury to the most important player on the team doesn’t? You can’t have it both ways, so which one are you gonna go with?
  7. Actually, I heard he broke it at the turf the night before when he punched a homeless elderly man who asked him for some spare change. The nice guy thing is a massive cover up in a joint effort between the stare if ND and the NFL to take us all for millions. Thanks Obama.
  8. With a QB with a broken wrist.
  9. Ok...also they gave up 21+ unanswered points two weeks in a row. They clearly have the ability to put up big points, but they also have the ability to completely fall asleep for quarters at a time. Today they didn’t score a point for almost two full quarters before kicking the game winning FG. I’m not saying they are trash, they are clearly very good. But the way they’ve played at times leaves a heck of a lot of questions in my book. Edit: whoops, just 14 unanswered this week.
  10. You two just can’t get enough of my opinions around here can you? When was the last time you saw a championship team have 27 unanswered points against them? Crown USD if you want to, I know it makes you feel good, but I see serious flaws in their game on both sides of the ball and I believe they will get exposed when it comes down to it.

    2017 Season

I have never used Marajuana, though I have a similar view on recreational use. However, the law is the law. We can agree or disagree with the law, but if the law is on the books and you break it, you can’t argue with the punishment.

Classy and well spoken. Thanks for contributing to the conversation.

Oh I apologize, exactly which positive aspect of UND’s current situation would you like to discuss? You are about the thinnest skinned crew on the internet if my comments are considered trolling here. You’re own ilk has said tons worse about JJ. But my comments are too much, got it.

I know it’s a novel concept given the vitriol on most boards, but yes. I like conversations about football, crazy I would come to a site to do just that.

The dude came in with massive excitement and the expectation of making an immediate impact, those weren’t my expectations they were all of yours. Given that he hasn’t been a game changer this year, is it not a fair question to ask if he is expected to take on a larger role or is he not the player YOU ALL expected. If you don’t believe me just look back at the JJ posts from when it was first announced. There was talk of him being enough of an impact player that the coaches would move Santiago to receiver.

It’s not really that early in the football season anymore. After this week we’re closer to the end than the beginning.

Seriously? You must make a real effort every day to view the world with such negativity. In what world could my comment be viewed as anything but taking it at face value? Sheesh

Is johanneson(sp) expected to take on a larger role or is he not finding his way at UND the way people expected?

And the projected starter at QB will be the transfer from Sac St?

Seems like most here see 2017 as a lost year, may play out differently, but that seems to be the tone here. That said, looking ahead to 2018, what are the major losses to graduation and what will the projected two deep look like? Is 2018 a rebuilding year or is there an opportunity to make a run?
  22. Another thing to keep in mind is it’s rare for NFL athletes to not seek out their own trainers based on their perceived needs. College athletes all work with the same trainer with that trainer working hard to have each position group having a position specific program with some “personalization” built in. In the NFL, the players less often work out as a team even during the season. So the trainer you know may be the type who players seek out if they need strength gains, while they would go to someone else if they had speed needs or injury prevention needs as an example. I know of at least 3 gyms in the Eden Prairie area where Vikings players workout there regularly and all of them have very different training philosophies.
  23. I’m not familiar with their particular methods for training, but would imagine it is similar to what they experienced while at NDSU. I believe it’s Cole Jirik and Christian Dudzik running that place. Given how each of those dudes played, I would imagine speed work is something they know a lot about.
  24. Of the hundreds of changes that have become best practices in S and C that could be mentioned here, one of the largest that I’ve seen across all athlete specific programs is a higher emphasis on unilateral training. Makes a ton of sense as the physical load on the body in an athletic setting is rarely symmetrical. Kettlebells have sort of made a comeback in the last ten years too, so that’s interesting that they were big when you played.
