Darell, you need to take a step away from the keyboard man. You have become incapable of seeing humor in any situation.
-
1/38=2.6 % 1/11=9% I'll shoot Coach Bohl an email and start a petition for a 1 quarter suspension. Just to make sure we keep pace with the discipline standards that UND follows.

If that were true, I would agree that the WR's aren't special in the MVFC. But I don't believe Ryan is the best the MVFC has to offer. I'm a huge fan of Ryan's, there's never been any doubt about that if you follow my posts on bisonville, but I would argue he isn't even the best on NDSU's roster. Zach Vraa, is a more well rounded receiver than Ryan IMO. I think this is one of those deals that he is the leading receiver on the best team in the league, in a league that doesn't have any returning receivers that you can't leave off the list.

We'll see on the UND WR deal here. It's easy to be excited about your players in July...time will tell. On your sidenote, I actually agree. There are very few if any real stars at the WR position and I have always thought Marcus was overrated. Not overrated in the sense that he isn't any good, because he is damn good. But some homers think he is a first round draft pick, that is laughable if you ask me. He'll be a late round pick(5 or beyond). Marcus has great ball skills and is great at baiting QB's into throwing into coverage, but he struggles with other parts of his game that I feel will hurt him on draft day. The first being, I don't believe he has blazing speed, by NFL standards. He's a 4.4 guy if I remember right, but coming from an FCS school, the NFL wants to see the measurable be perfect to use a draft pick on you. We'll see, I've been wrong before and I would be happy for him if he went higher than that. I just don't see it happening.

Can I get a feel for why most feel like UND has the best WR corp in the NATION? Hardin is solid and is proven, but the rest are just potential at this point. Maybe I am missing something, but it seems like a bold statement to make and to say that is a concensus...I just don't see it...yet.

No actually it sounds way off. I must have missed where NDSU had players go unpunished for stealing from a retail store. Because in the real world, meaning outside of your crazy head, all the players involved in that incident were promptly dismissed from the team. You used to be amusing darell, but recently your attempts at bringing NDSU down a peg are just coming off as pathetic, because they lack so much truth.
-
Yeah I'm sure Travis Beck would love to tell recruits about his experience. I'm sure they would be lining up at the door to sign the LOI after sitting down with Travis for a recruiting visit. "Come to NDSU in Fargo, where you are castrated in the media before any of the real facts come out".
-
You are certifiably nuts sometimes. Yeah it's a huge conspiracy, the current players are telling all the really good players to come to NDSU because you can get away with murder here. I can't decide if living in your head would be fun or scary sometimes.
-
Embarrassing, sure. But, it wouldn't have stayed in the news nearly as long.
-
What do you mean by you earn your reputation? And being easily identified by law enforcement can work in your favor if you are in the right place.
-
This is what I'll never understand about this argument. You have no baseline for any of these guys' behavior or ethics or morals etc. before they enrolled at NDSU. Without a baseline how do you know if they are better or worse off in the categories you find worthy. Maybe, their time in NDSU's program left them far better equipped to handle life than they would have been without it. Something to consider.
-
No, I wouldn't agree with that at all. I challenge you to look at ANY college football program that has had enough success that the media actually cares to report on them. Look at any of these schools and tell me if they don't have run ins with the law in the same if not higher proportions than NDSU.
-
Darell this isn't twitter, you don't need the hashtags bro.
-
You've missed my point completely as usual darell. Like I said, UND athletes have a pretty good gig in GF.
-
It does reflect poorly on NDSU, but it shouldn't. Is NDSU supposed to employ resources for former players to keep their lives together after they are no longer with the program?
-
Don't talk to me about Golden passes Darell. I know A LOT of people who attended and played sports for UND. Let's just say your players don't have it too bad up there in GF and we can leave it at that.
-
I can't help but laugh at most of your posts darell, they just make no sense sometimes. I agree, they were on the team for the initial offense, but we aren't talking about that right now are we. You and rednek are feigning concern over people skipping out on community service 18 months after they last appeared on NDSU's roster. See the difference(to use your smart aleck comment) Edit: I re-read your post and realized you just said exactly what I've been saying for the past half of an hour in bold. So why are you arguing with me? Why aren't you throwing a holy sh$t fit about our legal system failing, instead of trying to pile this on NDSU's plate?
-
Thanks for the breakdown, a quick note though. Just because something is in the paper, doesn't make it news. The forum's job is to sell papers, they know an NDSU headline gets them a bump. Nothing more. Nobody cares about this, some guys that are no longer on NDSU's team didn't show up for community service. People don't show up for community service literally every day in ND, we don't hear about it. When they can sell more papers it goes on page one above the fold. We'll have to agree to disagree on this reflecting poorly on the state. Who outside of the forum's readership will even know about it?
-
So let me be clear here. If NDSU would have sat these kids down for a meaningless game, against a crap team, that Fargo South High School could beat. You guys would have been fine with it? Please, there isn't a punishment on earth that would've satisfied the naysayers and the same will play out for Mr. Beck come this fall. If he isn't kicked off the team and his mugshot posted on every street corner in ND, people on this board will say it wasn't harsh enough.
-
Darell, it's been almost a year now. You would think you would have other things on your mind.
-
You would hope that, I agree. I do see a trend and I don't like it. But, this voter fraud thing is old news. The players involved are no longer on the team. What they do now is their responsibility. If Braden Hansen was picked up for (fill in the blank crime), you wouldn't hear peep from me. The only reason this stuff bugs you is because it feels good for you guys to find some flaw in the armor of NDSU football. That's it. It doesn't reflect poorly on the state. It doesn't reflect poorly on UND like some have stated. It is purely a subconscious or conscious need for some of you to bring NDSU down a peg.
-
So again, NDSU is responsible for the legal system letting these kids off the hook? It was the judge that handed out community service.
-
I'm going to attempt a bold darell1976 prediction here... I think UND will finish somewhere between 0 and 15 wins this year. Did I do it right Darell?
-
But, if a former UND player did get in trouble. UND would then be responsible? Of course it bugs me, these kids are idiots for not following through with their punishments. But, I'm not sure how you expect NDSU to take responsibility for the actions of a player that hasn't been on the roster in 18 months.
-
I love when Darell makes bold predictions.
