  1. Keep digging that hole man. It'll only make it that much more funny.
  2. Your persistent lack of understanding on this topic only shows your own ignorance, not another school's delusions of grandeur. You can piss and moan all you want Duke, but the fact(to use the word you misuse daily) is FCS football is made up of Division I insitutions. Which is far more than one could say about your precious hockey.
  3. I wonder if you'll man up and take your medicine by owning up to this statement if NDSU wins. Some UND fans, yourself included, sure are setting themselves up for a fall from grace aren't they?
  4. If you want to say that, I don't have a problem with it at all. I believe it's arguable, but it would likely be a matter of opinion to make the argument either way. However, to have this discussion, it is paramount to point out that UND enjoys many advantages over NDSU in terms of recruiting in their respective sport. Not the least of which is geography. The best football talent in the country is spread out, yes, but in general the best talent is nowhere near Fargo, ND. In contrast, GF is in the heart of some of, if not the world's best talent in hockey in that age group. Much easier to get a guy to come to GF from Roseau, MN than it is to get a guy from Miami, FL to come to Fargo, ND. Not excuses, just pointing out the difference in recruiting between the two sports.
  5. I agree. However, if nothing else NCAA hockey and Major Juniors in Canada are 1-A and 1-B in terms of having the best talent in the US and Canada playing in their programs. With Major Junior having a slight edge in most of the publications I have read on the subject. Point being, the talent is split between two places. So NCAA hockey isn't truly the epitome of talent for players in that age group is all I'm saying.
  6. I think the same argument could be made about NCAA hockey vs. major junior hockey in Canada. Yes I realize you put a qualifier of being in the US in there.
  7. I-AA/FCS has existed since 1978. In that time 21 different schools have won national championships. NCAA hockey has existed since 1948. In that time. 19 different schools have won the national championship. I'm not sure what this proves exactly. I suppose the argument could be made that the NCAA hockey championship is more difficult to win because there is only a few teams that have a chance to win it each year. I think the opposite argument could be made with the exact same set of numbers. It's much easier to win because there are only a few good teams in NCAA hockey. I know for sure that these numbers prove there is far more parity in FCS football than in NCAA hockey. Not sure how that applies to the original question though.
  8. Oh the irony...
  9. Please God let these next 4 weeks go quickly. I don't know if I can handle anymore of this meaningless offseason junk. It's the same crap every year.
  10. We disagree, no big deal. NDSU football has reached a new plateau and it will take more than a year or two missing the playoffs to have attendance fall off in a significant way. Think Montana.
  11. Oh that changes everything. 4 years ago, well that's completely relevant. 4 years ago, might as well be 100 in terms of college football.
  12. Is this really what it has come to UND fans? Nitpicking about a losing season 11 years ago where NDSU had poor attendance? If you are going to look for weak points in the NDSU football armor, attendance is not a place I would begin as a UND fan. I honestly believe that NDSU football would continue to thrive moving forward in terms of attendance, even without the ultra success the team has enjoyed lately. The games and the tailgating have truly become an event and with the growing population in the FM area, more and more people are exposed to it every week in the fall. Sure if they have a few losing seasons in a row, they'll be down in term of attendance. But, down years wouldn't be nearly as far down as they used to be.
  13. Darell, you need to take a step away from the keyboard man. You have become incapable of seeing humor in any situation.
  14. 1/38=2.6 % 1/11=9% I'll shoot Coach Bohl an email and start a petition for a 1 quarter suspension. Just to make sure we keep pace with the discipline standards that UND follows.
  15. If that were true, I would agree that the WR's aren't special in the MVFC. But I don't believe Ryan is the best the MVFC has to offer. I'm a huge fan of Ryan's, there's never been any doubt about that if you follow my posts on bisonville, but I would argue he isn't even the best on NDSU's roster. Zach Vraa, is a more well rounded receiver than Ryan IMO. I think this is one of those deals that he is the leading receiver on the best team in the league, in a league that doesn't have any returning receivers that you can't leave off the list.
  16. We'll see on the UND WR deal here. It's easy to be excited about your players in July...time will tell. On your sidenote, I actually agree. There are very few if any real stars at the WR position and I have always thought Marcus was overrated. Not overrated in the sense that he isn't any good, because he is damn good. But some homers think he is a first round draft pick, that is laughable if you ask me. He'll be a late round pick(5 or beyond). Marcus has great ball skills and is great at baiting QB's into throwing into coverage, but he struggles with other parts of his game that I feel will hurt him on draft day. The first being, I don't believe he has blazing speed, by NFL standards. He's a 4.4 guy if I remember right, but coming from an FCS school, the NFL wants to see the measurable be perfect to use a draft pick on you. We'll see, I've been wrong before and I would be happy for him if he went higher than that. I just don't see it happening.
  17. Can I get a feel for why most feel like UND has the best WR corp in the NATION? Hardin is solid and is proven, but the rest are just potential at this point. Maybe I am missing something, but it seems like a bold statement to make and to say that is a concensus...I just don't see it...yet.

No actually it sounds way off. I must have missed where NDSU had players go unpunished for stealing from a retail store. Because in the real world, meaning outside of your crazy head, all the players involved in that incident were promptly dismissed from the team. You used to be amusing darell, but recently your attempts at bringing NDSU down a peg are just coming off as pathetic, because they lack so much truth.

Yeah I'm sure Travis Beck would love to tell recruits about his experience. I'm sure they would be lining up at the door to sign the LOI after sitting down with Travis for a recruiting visit. "Come to NDSU in Fargo, where you are castrated in the media before any of the real facts come out".

You are certifiably nuts sometimes. Yeah it's a huge conspiracy, the current players are telling all the really good players to come to NDSU because you can get away with murder here. I can't decide if living in your head would be fun or scary sometimes.

Embarrassing, sure. But, it wouldn't have stayed in the news nearly as long.

What do you mean by you earn your reputation? And being easily identified by law enforcement can work in your favor if you are in the right place.

This is what I'll never understand about this argument. You have no baseline for any of these guys' behavior or ethics or morals etc. before they enrolled at NDSU. Without a baseline how do you know if they are better or worse off in the categories you find worthy. Maybe, their time in NDSU's program left them far better equipped to handle life than they would have been without it. Something to consider.

No, I wouldn't agree with that at all. I challenge you to look at ANY college football program that has had enough success that the media actually cares to report on them. Look at any of these schools and tell me if they don't have run ins with the law in the same if not higher proportions than NDSU.
