  1. I think it would work for all sports except those on grass or turf. Unless they put a black border around it, but even then it would look weird. I'm guessing that's why they went with black.
  2. and the original...
  3. With the MTN folding this summer, all Mountain West games are now up for bid. I'd imagine a regional network would pick it up and would make it available on DirecTV or Dish. This website is amazing for getting TV info on college football games: http://www.lsufootball.net/tvschedule.htm
  4. Please retitle this "Makes me and the other crazies want to puke"
  5. We have heard this over and over and it's expected that every game will be a challenge. That doesn't mean games aren't winnable.
  6. I think you'll find most people here don't really want a football conference in the midwest. While there aren't any close teams right now in the Big Sky, many feel it's a much better conference for UND. Many of our alumni live in Big Sky territory, myself included, and are very excited to see UND football, basketball and even other sports come to town on a regular basis.
  7. Word from the Air Force athletic dept is that it is UND.
  8. Then you should be proud that you went to one of the finest schools in the country that doesn't have an athletic program.
  9. It's hilarious that you think you being a native actually has anything to do with you. It's all about your parents and grandparents living in Colorado.
  10. "Not the worst place in the state" isn't saying a lot. I didn't realize I had to be from a place to realize that it's crappy. At least North Dakota doesn't have arrogant pricks like you who think they're better because their parents/grandparents decision. In any other state, you wouldn't be heralded as a pioneer, you'd be someone who needs to get out and explore. You're just lucky your family stayed in CO.
  11. I'm sorry, I did get you two confused. I agree you haven't been a troll unlike Bison Dan. I guess I'm similar to the NCAA in how they see North Dakota they lump everything together, I saw Bison and lumped you two together.
  12. Congrats on your parents and grandparents living in Colorado. Smart move by them. I'm hoping my eventual kids and grandkids will continue to live here too. However, we're talking about Greeley. On the front range Greeley and Pueblo are the butt of jokes for a reason and it has nothing to do with your crappy football team.
  13. You said "Just mark it down as another classless move by UND's athletic dept....Hope they got a good look at it, probably be the one and only they handle." I read that as championship banner, not necessarily football. Yeah, it's in a football thread but we're talking about UND's athletic department, not UND's football team. I pointed out they've "handled" plenty of D1 championship banners so why would they need to "get a good look at it." I love that your post above starts out with "I honestly don't mean this as trolling..." which is hilarious because every single one of your posts is trolling.
  14. With 7 D1 national championship banners already, I doubt the UND athletic dept is in awe of this FCS banner.
  15. Every incoming freshman for UND next year played in a league that allows partial shields. Most of these players played in those leagues for 2+ years. They may have grown up with full shields or cages but there is a reason many players wear half shields in the ushl, ojhl, mjhl, bchl and sjhl.
  16. So take your issue up with them. It's well out of UND's hands now.
  17. However, NDSU isn't bringing in a playoff team. It would be a cupcake of a team and they would be paying $200,000+ to get them to Fargo.
  18. But are they some of the finest? Or now since you have classified every college as fine, it doesn't matter how they're ranked.
  19. So as long as the name goes to something you don't care if it's not UND's nickname? Find a peewee team, name them the Fighting Sioux and fetch will be happy!
  20. And I pointed out that NDSU doesn't lose the revenue from a home game, because they can still schedule two OOC home games in 2017. So, NDSU doesn't lose a home game in 2017. Makes more money if they charge a premium price for the UND game and doesn't have to pay $200,000 to bring a team in. Still a wash?
  21. I don't quite understand this from a Bison perspective, so can you please explain it a little further? I can see the point you make about the public relations/perception battle and that at this point it would benefit UND more than NDSU (although in three years, who knows where each program will be.) Financially, though I don't understand how it can be a wash. NDSU isn't paying to bring a team in for either 2015 nor 2017. That's $400,000 right there. Bump ticket prices $10 for the 15,000 non-student tickets (premium game) and that's another $150,000 more than what a regular game would earn the school. I admittedly don't know how much NDSU makes for a home-game against a cupcake team, but I would think it's not $550,000. Also, everyone is claiming that NDSU is giving away a home-game for 2017 by traveling to UND. With that being an 11 game season, that means 4 MWFC home games, 4 MWFC away games, one away OOC game, two home OOC games. 6 home games. If you're of the view that NDSU should play an FBS team every year, then I can see where that's an issue. However, not playing an FBS team once out of every four years isn't some huge deal, especially considering nobody knows where college football will be in 5 years.
  22. How dare you offend Walmart workers with that comparison
  23. Sorry no one cares what you say because you went back on your word and have no honor.
