I think it makes teams prepare for both a mobile qb and one who can stand in the pocket and hit receivers accurately.
-
I like that they are playing man to man. With 4-5 stud receivers, you have to think there is at least one or two matchups the receivers can and will win. I imagine pulling the redshirt of Golloday last week was to give him game experience to help tip the tables for this weekend. Wish I was going to be near a computer to. Watch to game if it's available online.

It will grow. It's been two games... one against a really weak opponent. Just give them a few more weeks to pick things up. One of the negatives about Saturday evening games is that the non diehard fans are going to want to get ready to go out drinking. That's why most of the students left at halftime last night. They need to get back home, change and probably shower to make it out to the bars.

Week 2: Potato Bowl 2012 - UND vs. Portland State
southpaw replied to UND-FB-FAN's topic in Football
Yes.. When you sign up it will ask you to "purchase" the video stream. It's actually free, you don't enter any credit card info, it's just for tracking purposes. -
UND vs. DU PreSale Tickets On Sale Now
southpaw replied to SiouxFan in DU Country's topic in Men's Hockey
Lots of hotels downtown, so I recommend any one of those. There is a lightrail from downtown to the DU campus, so it's a nice and cheap ride. There is not a shuttle from the airport, however I am guessing fellow Sioux fans on here might be willing to pick you up or split a cab with you. UND fans will be in every section throughout the entire building. Most of them are on the ends, however you can sit anywhere and have a lot of Sioux fans near you. Once you're into Denver you won't have to worry about driving... it's just a matter of getting from the Airport to Downtown. -
Jayson, thanks again for your help. I'm watching the volleyball feed right now... Would it be possible to just have a nat sound mic or the in-arena announcer hooked up to the feed?

About that...

Midco can use some help with their gfx. Good package, but wrong score up now and they've had wrong down and yardage a few times.

2,000 students with more coming into the game...
-
This performance, even against a d2 team, is going to keep people coming back. I'm 1,100 miles away and I want to go to a game before they come to Greeley.
-
Love seeing the student section full... Reminds me of when I was there from 00-05. I remember many games where the students caused back to back false starts.
-
The big sky thing is free. They just ask you to "purchase" it for records. You don't enter any credit card info and it will show you several times that its free. Similar to ordering just audio from UND insider.
-
Working for me. Make sure you install both flash and the octothing app
-
How do you know they haven't? Say they asked the questions and nobody would talk. That would be a pretty great four word article... "Sources declined to answer."

I'm in the exact same boat as you... I have to go through significantly more steps to be able to watch UND games this year. However, I also realize that what UND had last year is off the charts better than what most colleges similar to UND have. Yeah, it sucks to lose it (I believe only temporarily), but I'm glad we have the opportunity to watch most of the games. Compare what we have this year to any of the FCS schools and we come out pretty great. Perfect? No, but way better than most.

It's for Flash Media Encoder. However, seeing that the UND Insider iPad app will feature live video, that solves that problem/question. Thanks for the improvements in the streaming capabilities Jayson. I like that I can get it on my iPad now. The only recommendation I have for the streaming audio is to allow it to play in the background. That way, I can listen to UND sports on my iPad, while also surfing the net. Currently, if I exit out of the app, the audio stops. Thanks again

Yes and I'm saying people should ask those in charge those questions instead of just assuming things won't work and coming on here and whining about it. Jayson, do you know if iPad and iPhone players will work? Do you guys use FME to do your streaming? If so, I know the upgrade to 4.5 allows you to stream on all mobile devices and tablets. I'm assuming it's just a matter of if your host streaming server will allow it as well.
-
Have you emailed to ask them if it works? No, you won't end up paying for a subscription that is useless on your two devices unless you continue to whine and only post on a message board instead of sending a simple email. But I guess it is easier to act like a 3 year old instead of actually finding out the answer. The viewing options are different. Quit whining and deal with it.

Yeah, I went back and looked at the original design. I thought it was one large Alerus logo at the center but it is the two small ones on the outside of the hashmarks. I see those on the ground level picture. Maybe that is how they got around the NCAA rule about logo at "midfield."
-
UND's athletic facebook page posted another ground level picture. It doesn't look like there is any logo at the 50 within the hash marks.
-
The average fan likely doesn't have a security guard constantly watching them. If it is anything similar to the new Ralph when it first opened, then I understand the hesitancy of the students. In hockey it took years to adjust to it and now it's not so bad. The Alerus policies weren't so strict in 2000-2005 but it may take a while for the adjustment. Quality opponents should help as well.
-
And for the rest of us who are outside of the footprint, we actually put in effort to make sure we can see the games instead of just sitting back and hoping. I've signed up for UNDInsider and will also watch many more sporting events for FREE!!!! on the Big Sky website. Hook up a computer with HDMI out to your TV and it will be just like watching it in sd on FCS.

What about adding CC's women's soccer? They currently play in C-USA but travel wise it would be a better fit to be in the hypothetical or even big sky conference.

POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
southpaw replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
You never said NDSU can't schedule the teams above them... but with your logic, App State won't schedule NDSU because: "I don't believe that they are scared to play us. However, they are a more established program than NDSU, so it would be more advantageous for us to play them than vice versa." It's the same reasoning you gave why NDSU won't schedule UND. How do teams like App State play anybody good? They don't make up crappy justifications to not play a rival that is 70 miles away. -
POLL: Should UND-NDSU Resume the Football Series?
southpaw replied to ShilohSioux's topic in Football
Can you please provide us with the official FCS hierarchy of scheduling? I would like to know what teams NDSU can schedule in the future. Apparently, not teams who are more established than NDSU, but also apparently not teams that are within a certain level of establishment. It has to be tricky to keep track of what teams are on what level of establishment, as to allow NDSU to schedule them. And how do you know what teams are on the exact same level as NDSU, so you can schedule them? Because we can't have NDSU scheduling a team that is above them or close to them... only teams that are exactly equal or well below.
