Here are Moy's current brackets, as of Monday morning: East Regional (Bridgeport) 16 RIT vs. 1 Yale 9 Union vs. 8 Merrimack West Regional (St. Louis) 13 Nebraska-Omaha vs. 4 Michigan 12 Western Michigan vs. 6 Denver Midwest Regional (Green Bay) 15 Dartmouth vs. 2 North Dakota 10 Notre Dame vs. 7 Minnesota-Duluth Northeast Regional (Manchester) 14 Colorado College vs. 3 Boston College 11 New Hampshire vs. 5 Miami I agree with these brackets. Straight bracket integrity, with one switch (Denver & Miami) to avoid a first-round intraconference matchup (Miami & W. Michigan). Also, I don't think we see UND get moved to St. Louis if we have a potential St. Louis bracket that looks like this. I don't think attendance would be all that bad.

Story from the Forum: Forum Link I'm in the same boat as you. Doesn't look promising.

2 lower bowl tickets - Friday vs. Michigan Tech
fargosioux replied to fargosioux's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
Still available. Could meet in Fargo-Moorhead today, or somewhere in GF before the game. -
From Brad's blog: That's pretty impressive!

I don't agree with his switch of UNO and Denver. You're moving Denver (#5) into a potential regional final matchup with BC (#2), and giving Michigan (#4) a lower seed in UNO (#7). It screws up the bracket integrity too much. Regarding UND vs. UNO, I've said it before, but I'd love to see Hakstol vs. Blais facing off on April 9th.

St. Louis is Friday-Saturday and Green Bay is Saturday-Sunday.

I tend to agree about placing UND in St. Louis, but I also feel there's a chance we go to Green Bay if we get paired up in a regional with Duluth, and there is a decent attendance outlook in St. Louis. In the brackets I posted, I think Michigan and Notre Dame would do OK in St. Louis.

Here's my current brackets: Bridgeport (East) Yale vs. RIT Merrimack vs. Miami Manchester (Northeast) BC vs. Dartmouth UNO vs. UNH Green Bay (Midwest) North Dakota vs. Western Michigan Union vs. Duluth St. Louis (West) Michigan vs. Colorado College Denver vs. Notre Dame I originally had Dartmouth in the West and CC in the Northeast, but you could justify switching them for attendance purposes, while giving BC the advantage of playing an ECAC school rather than somebody from the WCHA.

Actually they do not re-seed the Frozen Four. The brackets for the NCAA tournament are set up to assume that all #1 seeds advance to the Frozen Four, where #1 would face #4 and #2 would face #3.

Frattin is 2 goals and 6 assists from matching Duncan's numbers from 2007. Considering the numbers he put up against Tech this weekend, he could come close to that next weekend. He's 12 behind Miele in total points. If he narrows that gap a bit and hangs onto the goal lead, I think he wins it. With no convincing argument for a goalie or D-man this season, I think it's going to be a 2-horse race.

Looks like the Bemidji loss dropped us down to #3 in the PWR behind BC (for now).

There's one about 2 blocks away from the Embassy Suites. I agree, maybe the best breakfast place I've ever been to.

I'm a Priority 5 and I got seats in Section C33, Row 5.

My tickets came in the mail today.

Alot of people (myself included) think that the committee will try to get North Dakota in St. Louis. Does the fact that the CCHA is the host of that regional add any weight to a CCHA team (like Michigan) getting sent there instead?

Moy's revised Bracketology: USCHO Bracketology

What if you could trade players in college hockey?
fargosioux replied to gfhomer's topic in Men's Hockey
This could actually be Minnesota's third year in row missing the NCAA tournament. Can you imagine if UND went through a stretch like that? -
Milewski posted a comment that Moy will be doing a new Bracketology in response to the fans' cries.

One could argue that the Friday afternoon game would be more advantageous for the #1 seed. You'd get to play your opponent on fairly short turnaround, and you'd have more time between the semifinal and championship game if you won. Will be interesting, but I'd be willing to bet that when the "all-set" brackets are released after the first round, Minnesota will be assured to never play an afternoon game. I guess we'll see.

I took it to mean that there won't be re-seeding after the Thursday games. In other words, the winner of the 4/5 game will play the #2 seed, and the winner of the 3/6 game will play the #1 seed, regardless of who wins that game. If this is the case, then they could look at where Minnesota is seeded after the first round and make sure they get the night games. For example, Minnesota gets the #5 seed, they could set up the 4/5 game for Thursday night and then set up the 1 vs. 4/5 winner for Friday night. Again, I don't know for sure, but this is my suspicion of how it will go down.

This is what it says on the WCHA site: I read this to mean they have some flexibility in who gets the night games. I could be wrong.

I don't agree with Moy's brackets, but in his defense, there is this one guideline:
