  1. I know this is NOT the time to do it being the play off and all; but maybe next year at one of the non-conference games or something, if Parise gets ridden like he has been this season maybe he should go drop the gloves and pummel some one just to send a message that he can dish it out too.
  2. Damn... and I thought I was going to get to break the story. about DeFauw, but It looks like I was about 3 hours late... Story of my life. Anywhoo--- Great to see Brad DeFauw finally getting his chance at the pro-ranks. And it looks like hes determined to stay there too. Karl will get his chance sooner or later. I wonder if Brad and Ryan will room together on road trips.
  3. And now for the 3rd period... (ill just keep updating in this post!) so far this series the shots are 66-25 (excellent) Canady notches his first of the year from Hale, nice spinning backhand. 5-0 Sioux Kinda looks like Wisco is playing damnage control hockey, the good old dump and chase. Kinda dirty too. And that is that.... SWEEP Great series, Shut out for Ranfranz.. excellent.. I feel much better now!
  4. NOTERMANN--- Top shelf from the dot. Power play goal!!! Andy Schneider- 2nd of the Night!! Power Play is working like a finly tuned machine!!! (Badgers have not had a shot on goal in the second period 7 minutes left! 19-6 total) Rory McMahon took at high sticking penalty and I quote "Will now spend 2 minutes in the sin bin and feel shame" thanks for the observation PB. Great Second Period the score is now 4-0 Lundbohm hit the post with abotu 20 seconds left. Power Play is working really well as is the Sioux defence. Looks like the team that we had at the begining of the year!
  5. PARISE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL 1.4 Seconds left in the period... 5hole on Kabatoff... Good period for the Sioux. Ranny has been solid, Quinn Fylling taking over as the UND penalty box man... 2 cross checking calls in a period.
  6. Andy Schneider blast from the blue line! 5 hole!
  7. Lets keep a$$ kicking wagon rolling!!!
  8. Doh.... For some reason I would rather see, SCSU here. Wade "i'm bald" Dubielewicz and Adam Berkhoel are probably the single most dominant and most difficult to spell goaltending tandem in the country. I think SCSU might be a more favorable match up. But thats just my 2 cents
  9. As I life long Devils fan I was pissed (really pissed) when the Devs traded off Commodore. But I hope Dave Hale gets back on his feet to have a good career as a Devil, and I hope Massen makes it with the Devs too. Sorry to hear about the Rangers... Worst team money can buy. (Kidding)
  10. Another impression I got out of the game last night was the fact that the Wisconsin fans are fair weather fans. The wisco TV guys described it as a "good crowd" when you could clearly see many empty seats in the lower bowl. The final attendance number was about 11000 which looked a little generous due to season ticket holders that didnt show up. I know that they are having an off year, but I really dont think the Ralph would empty out like that. I know that the Ralph was the big attraction last year, but even at the end of the season which I think that everybody would consider an "off" year the place was still packed at the end of the year. Go Sioux... Lets get more of the same tonight!!!!!!
  11. It may have been but they only showed the replay once on TV and it was kinda hard to tell. Aslo those Wisco TV guys make Woog and Friend sound like rocket scientists!!! I like what I saw tonight from the team, they got down a goal and kept on playing hard... Good game, lets keep it up
  12. In defense of Ranny, the 2 goals were basically clearing attempts went bad... The first one came after a clearing attempt from the front of the net and landed on a wide open wisco stick at about 10 feet. The second goal the puck bounced of Greene or Jonesy's skate(cant remeber which one) behind the net and ended up on the hash marks on a wide open stick... Ranny didnt have a prayer. I was kinda surprised when Blais pulled Ranny, but we won so who am I to bitch? And a 4 assist effort for Fyling-- great to see, and even more shocking.... MATT GREENE STAYED OUT OF THE BOX and still played a good game. Remember that Matt you can still kick ass and dont have to take penalites!!!
  13. Sioux had 3 great scoring chances.... and why the Green Jerseys? Goal... Rory McMahon Stuffs IT!!!
  14. I dont need tickets... I'M FROZEN IN GFK

That looks to be one of those things that is both a luxury and a curse. Having all that talent between the pipes is good, but I seriously doubt that Blaiser will have enough scholarship money to go around. It aslo means that some hard decisions are going to have to be made. If any of the "new 4" really excell it may mean having to cut either Brandt or Bida. I have a feeling that Moreland will end up in St. Cloud because of his brother there are still 3 top notch goalies. Another issue that will probably come into effect is the fact that the non-commited of the 4 will probably realize that there is going to be a goalie-bottle neck in Grand Forks, and may inspire some to go else where especially where there is another team that is a guarentee of being the #1 and not be in such a cut-throat situation. p.s. Doesnt any one think it may be a little weird seeing a MORELAND in a Sioux jersey.... It weird enought to see a HAUSER on the womens team even though there is no realation in that case.

They have a max number that a team can dress in a night, but there is no limit on how many you can have in the program. So I guess they can have as many as they can find scholarships for!!!

There seems to be a tendency starting for teams to look toward Europe. Some real force players are coming from over there... The 2 that come to mind are Peter Sejna and Tomas Vanek. Sejna is arguably the best player in the country and Vanek (despite being a Dirty Gopher) looks to have a good college career in front of him. So.... If Coach Blais has found some awesome goalie hiding in Slovakia or something, Ill be all for it. Bring him on over, I'd give him a shot. Not to put down Lammy, Sedevie, or Ziggy or any one else, but it just may be crazy enough to work. Good Luck Sioux against Wisco. STAY WARM IN GF

Sweeeeeeet--- I was hoping that I didnt have to go and find a satilite dish. Hopefully the the Wisco broad casters are better then the wonderful team that does the gopher games

Well as it seems that every single goalie in the USHL is going to try to walk on next year we should have our pick... Sounds like a plan!!!
  23. I've been thinking of something... Many (including my self) are blaming a combination of lack of steady goal tending, and a lack David Hale as a part of the Sioux's second half woes. I think I have another explanation: In UNDs last 3 games (Mankato and the UMD series) UND put the puck on Net 127 times and only were able to complete the deal 8 times. My trust calculator indicates to me that is an utterly pittiful .063 shooting percentage, and that doesnt count the seemingly endless noise of the puck impacting that pesky goal post. This indicates to me that the Sioux have played against the best goalies in history with a .945 save perentage in those games or they simply arent getting the job done. A team that shoots 52 times in a game should find a way to put more than 4 of them in the net. I think what the Sioux need this weekend is to stop thinking about losing and return to having fun like they were in the begining of the season where REA was a house of woe for all opponents. Just food for thought...... But I cant bear to see the puck hit the post or the middle of the goalies chest anymore. Lets get a sweep this weekend before the playoff shall we? Let Go Sioux... and to those of us in Grand Forks... STAY WARM!!!
  24. Doesn't that just seem wrong. Lennon should only coach in the Fargodome once every other year!!!
