  1. I got you on this one.
  2. BS call with 3 minutes to go...SCSU PP. Baby Shep gets a chance to wet himself...and does. Pathetic.
  3. About 6 minutes to go and UND's needle looks to be approaching empty. Hold on boys! Lots of tired bodies out there.
  4. I would have liked to see what UND could be as a team with 4 lines and Gleason on D full time. When he plays back there, he is our most dynamic Dman easily. Kid can skate and make plays back there.
  5. Clowns start period on PP.
  6. Got to take advantage of great scoring chances...especially on the road. UND has controlled play for close to 30 out of 40 minutes so far.
  7. This should be a 5-2 game IMO if UND could have buried anything in the 2nd. Now it's a 3rd period game on the road.
  8. End of 2nd...3-2 UND. Mac takes a penalty with 1.5 sec left in period.
  9. SCSU goal...3-2. UND has had way too many grade A chances in the 2nd so far not to have had a 4-1 or even 5-1 lead. Now it's a game again.
  10. 17th of the year with a wraparound.
  11. If UND plays the next 40 like the 1st 20 a "W" will follow.
  12. Gleason is a totally different player on the blueline...making plays all over the ice.
  13. Dell came to play tonight...UND with PK.
  14. SCSU on PP...Pattyn charging.
  15. Knight again...2-1 Sioux.
  16. Knight scored 2 minutes into game...Clowns tied it 50 seconds later.

    UND @ SCSU

Congenital in 1% of population. I have no clue if he had it from birth or trauma caused it or if it was a combo of the two. My point is that it was wreckless to state, as jk did, that no matter if or when surgery was performed that it would have been season ending regardless. Based on the limited info on his situation, he could have possibly been able to play by now or earlier if surgery would have been performed right after the injury occured or got worse from trauma...not a given, but odds were in his favor. Now it is season ending as there is no point to race him back even if his recovery falls within the general norm of 1-2 months recovery time follwing surgery.

Just to clarifiy, the speculation, as posted by a few on this site, is his injury was traumatic in nature causing bipartite patella. IF this is the case, immediate surgery for this type of traumatic injury/problem generally results in a fairly quick return to normal activity...usually in the 1-2 month range. To say surgery was going to be season ending whenever it occurred and he wouldn't have been back by now if he would have had immediate surgery following the Goph's series in Minneapolis, is speculation as well...unless you are his Dr. Every injury situation is different, but I would question your bolded comment above as fact. And no I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Bottom line, it's disappointing he won't be playing the rest of the year.
