How about starting with the head coach...team's take on the personality of the one leading them.
-
UND has shown no ability to stop the run or generate a consistent running game so far this season. You do the math on this one... And the Griz come to the Al the following week...they might only have to throw the ball 8 times if the D effort isn't any better vs. UNA. From what I saw the Griz do to the Yotes in week 1, UND is in big big trouble.
-
Agree...it's a meat grinder, but this is what we signed up for when we entered the BS. What we didn't sign up for was going 1-4 in that stretch w 2 a## kickings. Just hoping that doesn't happen!!
-
Nicely played...the QB controversy, Marcus or Braden...Braden or Marcus is totally irrelevant with the D UND puts out on the field week in and week out. We have a good offense, but not good enought to hang 35+ on the board week in and week out. I'll set the over/under at 525 combined yards rushing the next to home games vs UNA and the Griz.

In all due respect, playing vs. coaching is apples to oranges.
-
On any coaching staff, there are those that are better suited as being an assistant or coordinator. Some coaches just aren't cut out to be the "guy". I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

Totally agree. Losing to Sioux Falls, the numerous "moral victories", and the woodshed beating/no-show Saturday are just a few examples of the lowered bar for this program. I get the competition is better in the BS, but as Ole stated, 5 years of treading water isn't what should be expected at this point. IMO these next 2 weeks will tell us alot about Muss and his staff. IF UND gets the ball run down their throats, gets 35+ hung on them and loses both games...well, you know what my opinion will be.
-
The Cal Poly game bothers more than last nights game That's the game we had and should of won. Didn't expect to win last night but the woodshed beating was alarming. We will see now in the next 2 weeks at home what this team...starting w Muss...has as far as leadership and character. Side note...last night's debacle did nothing to get attendance above 10k for next weeks game.
-
5 games vs teams other than Mines is a clear indication that: A) UND has minimal FCS talent on D B) Tackling drills should be coached at practice C) Schemes/game planning defensively need to change D) This D couldn't stop the MHS Spuds ground game E) All of the above
-
Agree...another mismanagement of a game time decision by the coaching staff. Streamed the game last night. Wasn't impressed w Braden but now the coaching staff HAS to go with him next week after they butchered the QB situation last night.
-
Not disagreeing but in ANY scenerio leadership starts at the top. 'Nuf said....let's not sugar coat this. It's ultimately a trickle down affect. Look at the last few years under our HC. Not surprised though.
-
Not 1st time I've said this...Muss is in way over his head.
-
Never thought I would see this type of D at UND at this stage.
-
If by a pile you mean 400+...you are correct sir.

Like that the Rowney line was kept intact. Rocco line is a good combo. Gaarder doesn't get enough props. General's line isn't your normal 4th line either.

Memorable moments after 11 years at "The Ralph"

Feb. 18, 2008...DU leads UND 4-1 late in the 2nd. UND gets 2 goals in the last minute of the 2nd and Kozek scores on 2 rockets in the 3rd and UND wins 5-4. My heart is racing just recalling it. -
Also...source said Rocco is flat out a magician. If healthy for full yr he will take WCHA by storm
-
From reliable source...one line that has been clicking so far is the General w St Claire and Rodwell
-
It's a given UND won't play any D. My gut says this one gets away from us early and UND makes a game of it late. SE174 called it 38-30 EWU. If we are within 8 late in the game w a chance I'll be giddy.

IMO Deano let GT have some rope on this issue to handle it as a good AD would and GT promptly decided to make a noose and put it around his neck.
-
GT might need to come to grips that this scenario and his mishandling of it will not get him a better AD gig in the future...if he doesn't get the hammer and shown the door at 'su. Remember he doesn't have Joe to do shots with or snoop thru Pottery Barn catalogs for furniture with when things go south anymore.
