Wasn't able to make it to the X. Four letter word did me in...work! That was the best game I've watched all year. Had to be great fun to be there live. Big win! Just one observation...IMO Kristo was one of the 2-3 best players on the ice the 1st 3-40 minutes...then the needle went to E. What a performance after a 6 week hiatus!

That CC PP was sick...tic tac tic tac goal. Very nice. UND carried play for 16 of the 20 minutes...need to continue that.

Just settling in to watch on TV. Kristo will play well. No JG is going to be tough to overcome...he has been on fire lately. Pony line will have to flex their muscles tonight.

If Kristo can play, Nelson centering and Gleason at wing would be a rock solid 3rd line...totally forgot about Gleason. His 1st go around at forward earlier this year was brutal IMO, but his most recent time there has been a 180. That line could be a huge mismatch.

Best analysis of this team I've read in weeks. Pinch when one shouldn't, skate and carry the puck when one should pass it, or just make a poor positional play is going to cost this team if anything does. The Pony line has been rolling for one reason. JG and his line has been rolling for one reason. Mario and his line have been more than solid for one reason. Our D-man have been expceptional lately for one reason. They all know their roles and the stay within those roles and play it simple every shift. Free lancing, regardless of talent, causes structure and discipline to crumble. If Genoway can keep it simple and play within the structure of the the flow of the game, same if Kristo plays again, UND will be fine. There aren't going to be 6-1, 8-0 games from here on out. One ill advised play when it shouldn't be attempted or made IMO is probably one of the only ways this team gets beat from here on out.

Correct but which way do you think most are leaning now? Let's see...Kelly can't "remember" with Douple and has "no idea whatsoever" on the potential costs to clean up the Ralph from the Sioux issue. Now he is shipping people to Bismarck to help get the name and logo finished off. You do the math...

All I can say is..."WOW"! This is not the UND I attended...truly sad. And Kelly needs to go! If you think the Sioux nickname and logo are a stain on the university, how do you describe this clown?! I have "officially" decided I will continue to support UND athletics finacially but will not give one more dime to the university in general as long as Kelly is in charge.

All I had to read in the Forum this AM was that this "intellect" was a professor, an assistant at that, to disregard his/her opinion. An assistant prof at NDSU? What the %#*@ is that? Same playing field as head Home Ec. teacher at Central Cass HS??? This letter shows the prevailing "logic" from the elitist academia at UND, in this state and in this nation regarding anything they see a not being PC. It is just down right pathetic that this drivil continues to get print in our local papers.

Just 8800 for hockey?? And you are going to throw UND, with the best traveling fan base not playing in the own backyard, and Notre Dame plus UMD there. Place will be packed and the Scottrade Center will sit empty. Michigan and DU have no following. I was in Denver a few years back for the West regional and the Michigan "faithful" were few and far between. UNO would bring in a few, but overall the St. Louis attendence would be awful.

What about SR??? I find it so ironic that people like you, Jeanotte and the rest of the anti-nickname crowd has not uttered boo about the obvious trampling of the NA's rights on the SR reservation. "Racism...hostile...abusive..." Credibilty is zero for you folks for not having the stones to call out and take on the abusive power of the SR tribal council for not allowing the voices of their own people to be heard as you all have over your preceived issue with the logo and nickname. One tribe approval should be ok with the NCAA IMO especially when a majority of the SR Sioux live in SD, but hypocrisy is the NCAA's middle name. This will ultimately IMO go to a statewide general election vote of some kind and it will show overwhelming support from the people of SR and Sioux county...unfortuntely it probably won't matter. Democracy at it's finest?!?!?

Seems like Moy and everyone else has UND in Green Bay. Selfishly I want them in St. Louis. With my two brothers in MO, it would be fun to get toghether with them and have all our kids cheering loudly for the Sioux. Now being a Packer's fan, I could easily kill time in Green Bay in between game...Packer's Hall of Fame, Lambeau Field and pro shop...

Over on USCHO.com, Moy has a Sunday edition bracket with UND vs Rensselaer in Green Bay with UNO/Miami. From a regional matchup standpoint, UND would be giddy with that. My $$$ is still on UND being shipped to St. Louis though.

Weather in the valley sounds like it is going to ugly later today. For those of us wanting to travel up I-29, a "hands on" road report throughout the day would be appreciated. I'm planning to head out around 4:30pm with my kids, but don't want to be stupid if it's a whiteout or glare ice...there is always tomorrow's game. Any info will be appreciated.

Probably correct there. Michigan and Notre Dame would be good draws in GB. DU and CC won't get anyone to follow them regardless so I could see the entire brackets flip flopped.

I'm with you. I'd say if UND and Michigan, or any other "west" school, are both #1 seeds at selection time, there is IMO zero chance UND goes to GB. The NC$$ is all about the Benjamins and Sioux fans will fill the Scottrade Arena better than any other team.

One of these games will be closer than it should be. Sioux sweep....6-1 Friday and 4-2 Saturday. Last homestand of the '10-'11 season...really looking forward to one last weekend at the Ralph!

If Michigan stays a #1 seed along with UND, UND will be in St. Louis IMO. You have 2 east schools in Yale and BC to cover eastern regionals. The selection committee isn't going to have the Scottrade Center sit 90% empty based on Moy's current West regional speculation. UND is their only hope to put a decent crowd/attendance in St. Louis.

You put Miele on UND's team this year and he doesn't do what Frattin has done so far this season. I can't imagine what Frattin would do playing in the CCHA. He is the best college power forward I've seen in some time.

Gregoire is a 1st teamer IMO, but who do you bump for him? Possibly J. Connelly? If Chay is a 1st teamer it's mostly on reputation vs. this year's play. I'd have him and Blood on 2nd team. And Gardiner has been very, very good this year IMO. Knight is a stretch. Think Roe is another one that gets a 3rd team nod solely based on reputation and past year's performances. Don't think for a second that voters vote solely on what a player did just this season. That's a huge part, but some will go on a player's "body of work". Frattin is the clear POTY and anyone less would be a travisty!

I like all the home teams to advance....everyone sweeps except UMD and CC. If I had to call an upset it would be the Clowns over the Dogs...but not going to happen.
