Not disagreeing yet CHN just named Kristo POY and Knight 2nd team All-American and UND scored just 3 goals in 2 NCAA games. Something isn't adding up here.

This is just another example of college administrative talking heads thinking they are the smartest people on campus and know what is best for everyone in every situtation. Never was a fan of Gwoz but this is ridiculous IMO.

I love what Colton brings but Bryn is much more talented offensively from their days in Fargo. The restriction of Hak's system doesn't bode well for some players. All I know is I play Bryn before Mitch or OD any game from what I've seen of those 3.

If Brock Nelson toiled in the AHL all season then Rocco should definitely stay. You can't teach goal scoring and Brock had that.

And this goes back to the round peg/square hole mentality Hak portrays sometimes IMO.

This is what I had envisioned as well. Colton can skate with the other 2 and he can create down low. I like the 2nd line alot as well as the 3rd line. But there is ZERO chance IMO that OD and Mitch both sit regularly based on the ample opportunities Hak gave them this past season.

I think we are giving the 3 incoming freshman forwards way too much credit before they even hit campus. If OD can figure it out this off season I could see the Mac brothers and him on the same line next year. Seems Hak has a thing for OD and Mitch. Gaarder has a tough time being bumped from the lineup and as I mentioned before I think Chyzyk has excellent upside offensively and next season will be make or break for him. St. Clair will be an every game player as will Pattyn. Rodwell is a lineup question mark. Lots of options, but lineup juggling like this year can't happen if next year's team has any chance.

I think the issue is "conclusive" evidence to overturn the call made on the ice... no way that was apparent on the TV replay/this video. Then to come up with their explanation to call it off compounds the issue. What's done is done but if "conclusive" is the key in overturning it they blew it. The goalie/net coming off explanation is "interpretative" at best.

With any puck luck Rocco easily has a 40+ point season. He will be the least of our worries next season. If you have kids that play athletics, he is the best example I've seen in a long time of someone who outworks his own talent. He plays so hard.

Danny is what this program is about... dreams about playing at UND, improves in all aspects of hockey and life thru the ups and downs, passing on personal gain for the betterment of his team and teammates and leaves UND a true "Fighting Sioux"!

So basically you're advocating Hak change his system and philosophy? I'm with you with everything above. The "skill" coming back and in next year can't and won't succeed with his dump chase cycle system.

That team played short but still had top 8 in the country overall talent with those who took the ice...which is where they finished.

This team can be described by 2 words...inconsistent and mismanaged. Sounds like a CEO issue...

I think Hak has greatly underachieved multiple years w his talent but this thread is a waste even in jest. Very good coach but not great.

No brainer here IMO...Pattyn w the "C". He is a Mario type and if Mario played yesterday I have no doubt the outcome is different. This team really lacked Sr. in your face leadership.

Rocco Parks and Mark Mac all have to figure out how to score. The 3 coming back IMO that have the potential to have good years and really step up are Drake Colton and Bryn. Being in Fargo Chyzyk to me has great offensive upside. More than Colton. But something was a miss with him this year. Pattyn is who he is. OD and Mitch...meh. Not a big fan of either. Connor had 5 goals... 3 in one game but I like his play. Jim and Derek are grinders...period. Goaltending will be our strength and our D should be more consistent especially if Forbort is back. Schmaltz looked disinterested for the first 4 months of the season but improved a ton. Simpson is a stud. Mattson...goodness really regressed. Next season will be a challenge unless Hak can coach em up and get more than they have to give...but that would be a first for him in his ten year stint.

Park's injury coupled with Mitch becoming eligible half way thru season IMO caused both issues. Not to mention the OD man crush.

Exactly what was our identity? We tried to dump and chase and cycle all year long...how'd that work?? This team played it's best hockey when they cut it loose and pushed forward and Hak turned them loose.

Style of play needs to fit personel...didn't this year.

You have 3 D1 supposed big teams at UND...hockey MMB and FB. Would not say all those hires are looking good so far.
