  1. Dang. Bold call right there!
  2. They said he started skating in practice this week and was participating in all drills, just wearing the no contact jersey. I would hope that means he's getting closer at least...
  3. I'll add one. Keep Steeves in check. If they can control him the way that they controlled DU's top line, I like our chances.
  4. As expected, no Johannes. Hopefully he's finally able to go next weekend.
  5. Yeah the current brackets have us playing Cornell in the 1st round. This season, Cornell has swept UMD, beaten BU, beaten QU, and have only lost 4 games all season. I don't think that'd be an easy first round game at all.
  6. Trying to monitor Persson's workload and Sandelin talks about slowing down the UND talented players: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-closely-monitoring-ludvig-perssons-workload-as-season-progresses
  7. It’s been talked about a lot on here and other message boards. But we can certainly rehash all those talking points all day if you like. UND has one title in the last 8 years. DU and UMD have two each. What prevented DU and UMD from having 3-4 titles each during that timeframe? They certainly had teams talented enough to do so, just like UND. What prevented other blue blood schools (like UMN, UM, UW, BC, and BU) from getting more titles (or any titles) during that timeframe? Many of those teams were stacked during the past 8 years, yet no titles?
  8. Agreed...CC has as much trouble with DU as UND does with CC (this season at least).
  9. We’ve always been behind. We’ve just been slowly battling our way back into that race for the last 75 years. I’m not worried about UND turning into NMU or LSSU. Maybe if the Ralph burned down and instead of rebuilding it, they just rebuilt The Old Barn instead.
  10. Duncan talks about his One More Shift, this Sat: https://www.nodakice.com/news/ryan-duncan-returns-to-the-ralph-to-be-honored-during-unds-one-more-shift
  11. https://www.uscho.com/2024/02/21/bracketology-never-have-these-eyes-seen-more-perfect-brackets-as-no-movement-is-necessary-to-actual-brackets/ USCHO's brackets for this week. The move to #3 overall got us Cornell instead of RIT in the 1st round with a potential 2nd round matchup of either UW or CC. I'd be ok with this bracket...there would be easier routes to the F4, but certainly harder ones as well. Providence, R.I. 1. Boston College 8. Quinnipiac 9. Minnesota 16. Bemidji State Springfield, Mass. 2. Boston University 7. Maine 10. Western Michigan 15. RIT Sioux Falls, S.D. 3. North Dakota 6. Wisconsin 11. Colorado College 14. Cornell Maryland Heights, Mo. 4. Michigan State 5. Denver 12. Providence 13. St. Cloud
  12. Are you Tom Cruise in this A Few Good Men quote or Jack Nicholson? I'm not sure what we are agreeing to disagree about. I want Natty's too. In fact, I bet if we took a poll on this site, 100% of UND fans would agree that we want Natty's. Is it incorrect to want both regular season wins and national titles? Is that so bad? In fact, I would say that if you don't get enough regular season wins, you won't get the opportunity to go for a national title. Nsttys are for sure remmebered. Preach brother! Banners. Yep. All of them! Trams to the reunions? Like the Simpson's episodes about Monorail's? Schloss does remember a lot, for sure.
  13. From the sounds of this, I would be surprised if Johannes plays this weekend. He's practicing, but still wearing the red no contact jersey. The article doesn't mention if Pehrson is practicing or not, but says there's a "great chance" that he'll play. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-forward-hunter-johannes-nearing-a-return
  14. Yeah Berry! You told him, man. Straight truth.
  15. Didn’t Kraft play for the Goofers?
  16. They missed too many damn corners this past weekend. Dang how many posts did they hit on Friday alone, like four? Time to put the shooter tutor back on the nets for practices.
  17. I sure hope so, both for the team confidence and for posters here.

  21. A few players with UND connections on that list. Graney from Hazen is the kid of a girl I graduated HS with...would be cool to see him get a college look.
  22. Little update on Pehrson injury...no timeline though: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/unds-home-and-road-splits-evident-on-defensive-end
  23. I don’t think they’ll fade away…I just don’t see them winning all 6. That said, I’d love for them to prove me wrong.
  24. Ah yes, the mythical fans that people always talk about that seem content with losing...yet we never see these supposed fans.
  25. I just don't see a scenario where we win all 6 remaining games. WMU is a tough team this year with a potent top line (again)...I could see us dropping points there. UNO always seems to save their best games for us, and we'll be on the road too. While I think we could still win the Penrose even if we drop points to those teams, after what we witnessed this past weekend, I'm not optimistic. That said, we're still in the driver's seat for the Penrose...boys just need to play like they did against DU.
