Ouch if the news is true about Blake. Not entirely unexpected but I 100% agree that he could use another year just to physically mature. Just look at that last game against Michigan how many times he got knocked on his butt or off the puck. That was against college players, not AHL/NHL. He has the skills though for sure. If he does sign, then a portal duo of Wilkie and Wood would be awesome…plus monster years from James & Perron. You’d think Jason would be in his ear for one more year at UND.

Was glad to hear that it wasn't Wilkie. From the rumblings, it sounds like it is between UND and UW for Wilkie.

I have no doubt he is a great recruiter and coach...his track record speaks for itself.

There's no way he doesn't have a better personality than Carle if we're battling against DU for Pohlkamp.

Interesting stat on new goalie TJ: @Oxbow6 will be happy with that, as I know he loves the shootouts.

I can imagine that all the assistant coaches are monitoring it pretty non-stop during these first few weeks...talking to players, agents, arranging visits, etc. Definitely a whole new aspect of the job since the portal era started.

Yeah, the Mavs have a lot to replace for next year. They're gonna look quite different this fall.

Wood / Wilkie / Pohlkamp Sounds like we are in the running for all three. But I'd be happy if we are able to land one of that group. Each would fill a need for the 24/25 team. No word on any UND players entering the portal or early departures as of yet...figure if that happens, we'll start to hear some rumblings soon.

Man, how many drafted UW players can enter the portal this off-season? Not a good look for UW or Hastings. So for Wood, it's between us and a pile of B10 schools? Not liking those odds...
