Calling the opposing goalie a sieve is now deemed unsportsmanlike? What the heck is the world coming to? I'm all for getting rid of the F bomb chants and vulgarity in cheers, but that is ridiculous.

The Black Hole chant is horrible. It's about 2min too long to be a hockey chant, or catch on with any other people in the stands.

They did have a scoreboard fall on the ice a few seasons ago. Perhaps their visitor locker room is in shambles?

Maybe the Freshie Hunting on BMT went a bit too far. Blood had a pretty elaborate trap last week...

I always liked the UAA webcast, thought it was good quality, especially for a free service. Although the wolve howl or whatever it is can be annoying.

No doubt. He is having a heck of a start for his senior year. If he keeps this up, I certainly would expect him to make the Hobey Finalists list, and maybe even the Hobey Hattrick.

I've read in scouting reports on him that he does that all the time. I doubt he'll stop now.

I believe that Genoway had the flu...not injured. If that's the case, I would expect him to be a bit better when they go to UAA. That is, if you can imagine him being "better" than what he was this past weekend. WCHA DPOTW? I would imagine so! And then Hextall came back and played the 3rd, so that hopefully isn't too serious (if he was out with an injury).

Agreed on all counts. Hakstol shortened the bench after the 3rd UMN goal. I don't think the 4th line went back out on the ice the rest of the game.

Merrimack won both of their games this weekend. That Frenchie kid that wasn't allowed to play against UND last weekend due to NCAA issues scored 5 goals tonight. Yowzers.

The VV line with a couple good chances there...might be the first time they've had sustained pressure all game.

I think he'll be fine. He hit two posts on the weekend, he just needs to shoot a couple cm over a bit. One thing that I took from the Merrimack series is how impressive our freshmen class is playing. None of them looked out of place out there, and many of them excelled beyond what I was expecting. That's a great sign for this season if they can keep that up.
