  1. Who cares where they practice? As long as the ice size is the same, it shouldn't matter. Go Sioux!!!
  2. Awesome picture! That will be going on my background at work to annoy all those pesky Badger fans.
  3. How was the BC gwg? I might have to watch that just to see Miami's season end.
  4. Don't even pay face value. Tickets will be really cheap in front of the stadium. Last year in StL they were selling champ game tickets for $20 and semi-final tickets for $10. With Denver, CC, and Air Force all getting knocked out, there will be a BOATLOAD of tickets available, so prices will be cheap.
  5. No, the ref blew the whistle a good second or two before UW punched it in. The ref waived it off immediately.
  6. Another thing...my friend and I couldn't believe the attendance. We were practically all alone in the upper 300 level. And we could see empty seats in the 100/200 levels. Crazy. Regardless of the basketball tourney, that's pretty pathetic. And Madison wants to call itself a hockey town...
  7. Well that was awesome. Just got back from the game. Didn't look good after 2 periods...got some crap from some Badger fans during that intermission. Tying it up within 5 min of the 3rd was awesome, and then the gwg in OT in under 2 min. Incredible. The Badger fans filed out pretty quickly. I think they knew that they didn't truly belong in the tourney, let alone the F4. Regardless, a great effort from them. And they did us a favor by beating DU, who seem to have the Sioux's number recently in the playoffs. See you in Denver!!!!
  8. Here is another article talking about Princeton's speed: http://www.nj.com/sports/times/index.ssf?/....xml&coll=5 I posted this on USCHO as well, but if Princeton isn't the fastest team that I've seen all year, I'm going to be disappointed with how much it was built up. Something tells me that they are not going to be as quick as CC or Michigan. That's all we've heard about them...how fast they are. I'm interested to see how they look on the ice.
  9. I agree with you. But they didn't score more than 3 goals.
  10. CC looked terrible. MSU looked ok. Lerg played amazing. If Lerg was just a bit off on a couple of those, CC would have been off to the races in the first/second period. Even though CC looked like crap, they were still getting a boatload of quality chances, which says something about MSU IMO.
  11. Why would MTU be ahead of SCSU in the rankings for the best DI school in MN? I may be mistaken, but I thought MTU was located in the state of Michigan, not Minnesota.
  12. Except for the 1. Unless your feed is way ahead.
  13. Michigan just went up 1-0 over Niagara at the start of the 2nd.
  14. Wow. This could be a big upset as well. Insane.
  15. ND goes up 3-2 over UNH.
  16. UNH is really aggressive on the PK, but they end up leaving only one guy protecting down low. It burned them twice in that period.
  17. You are correct. UNH has an Olympic sheet at home. The Whittemore Center is 200x100.
  18. Tough call. Assuming we get past Princeton, we'd either have to face DU, who always has our number in the playoffs, or UW in front of a huge pro-Badger crowd. Ouch either way. I think DU is a better team than UW in all aspects...goaltending, offense, defense, and special teams. But anything can happen in a one-and-done, especially in front of a home crowd.
  19. The Sioux, as the #1 seed, would be the home team in both the Princeton game, and the final if they make it past Princeton.
  20. Just got my tickets. Section 307 (I like the upper deck...lets you see the plays develop), row C. Heck yeah. Go Sioux!
  21. Who are these Kozek, Duncan, and Oshie recruits, and what year are they planning on joining the Sioux? They all sound like highly-coveted recruits...I hope they pan out in the collegiate ranks. Nice job Hakstol! From what I hear about Oshie, he really dominated in MNHS, but probably won't do much his freshman year. You just can't expect much from that young of a player. He should probably play a year in juniors first. Duncan will probably be a role player his four years with the Sioux...won't win any individual awards, but will make the team better while playing on the 3rd/4th lines. From what I've heard about Kozek, he's big, mean, but has a horrible shot. Hakstol will need to mold him into a player. But that info is 5th hand, so it might not be accurate.
  22. I was actually impressed with the Gophers during their series against the Sioux this year. Other than those 2 series, I didn't see them play too much until the F5. They are a gritty team, but they just seemed to be missing something. Missed passes, lots of turnovers in their own zone...stuff like that. They just didn't seem like the Gopher teams of past...speedy possession teams with great puckhandlers.
  23. I'll be there (since I live in Madison)! Where can you get tickets already?
  24. I just was not impressed with the overall play of the Gophers this past weekend. Kangas bailed them out hardcore many times each night. I would honestly be surprised to see them get past BC, let alone Miami. That said, Kangas did look like a stud. He is certainly a goalie that could carry his team to two victories to reach the F4.
  25. Thanks for organizing this again! I had a good time, despite the loss.
