Even if he only stays here one year, he's going to be a very special player.
I'm glad that he is coming to UND rather than going to a different college or the MJ route.
Plus, not even JToews left after a year. I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed two years at UND. Otherwise he'd just be leaving to play in the AHL.
We're talking about a banner here.
I'm all for having Minnesota beat Denver this weekend if it means that UND has a better shot of winning the MacNaughton in their last year of being the Sioux.
Plus, I feel that Denver has been a more spirited rival for UND in the last few seasons anyway...
No doubt.
Rocco is like 2 inches shorter than Duncan, he'll be here for two years at least...I wouldn't be surprised with three.
Unless he wants to play in the AHL instead, but even then he'd have to put on some muscle weight first.
Agreed on all counts.
Let's hope for good news on the Genoway injury front. As much criticism as he took the last two weeks, his play would bolster UND's chances of having a deep postseason run.
UAA at home is a must sweep. We've had our difficulties sweeping WCHA opponents at home...none since SCSU in December.
If we want to be positioned for the MacNaughton at the end of the season, four points is critical.
I thought the last 10min of the 2nd period were all UND. Multiple posts and great looks right in the slot, they were throwing multiple great chances at the RMU goalie but he came up big.
The 3rd period certainly wasn't UND's best effort. But a win is a win, so I'll take it regardless. The big name players stepped up at the right time.
Now it's time to take it to the Gophers.
The Sioux really dominated at times tonight, but the RMU goalie played very well.
Plus, UND hit three posts I believe (Malone, Kristo, and Genoway).
Hopefully the Gophers didn't get too confident by playing the HS kids.
Redline Report ranked UND's 2011 recruiting class #1 in the nation:

Almost all of those schools are already interested in him. He's a top notch recruit, so they'd be nuts not to be.

The U18 team also had those three NAHL players join them for the Sioux game that didn't play the night before against Fargo.
Not that it matters too much.
A win is a (exhibition) win.
