  1. If he has, I doubt that it was by UND or Hakstol:

    Injuries?

http://www.grandforksherald.com/articles/i...bdb9162112333a5 Sounds promising. I bet we see both on Friday.
  3. If I was a young kid that had just commited to a college, I would get ticked if other schools kept getting in contact with me. I think part of the "relief" in making your collegiate choice as a scholarship athlete would be that the burden of dealing with all the schools and coaches would be over. I would tell tDon to quit calling me and that he just verified my decision for me.
  4. Article on Ryan Duncan from the Calgary Sun: http://calsun.canoe.ca/Sports/Hockey/2008/...979311-sun.html
  5. I remember when people said the same thing about JPar...that the only reason he got a chance was because Zach was with the Sioux. That seemed to work out alright for UND. I'm not saying that Dayne will be a future Sioux, or even that we should give him a chance (I've never seen him play either). But I'll trust the coaches decision, even if he isn't a highly recruited goalie coming in to the program.
  6. I could see them waiting another year to bring in Belfour, if he is indeed coming to the Sioux. Next year they could have Eidsness (fr), Walski (sr), and Snider (so). The following year after Walski graduates, then they could have Eidsness (so), Snider (jr), and Belfour (fr). That would also give Dayne another year to develop in the junior leagues. That said, I have also heard that the coaches are thinking of bringing in another goalie this fall. But I just can't see it being Belfour...yet. I'm thinking it would just be someone to replace Snider at this time.
  7. Looks like Roe is diving for the call there. Too bad he didn't get it. I think that Kozek is the most improved player from last year, with VV right behind him. Martens has certainly stepped up his play, but he hasn't contributed offensively as much as those other two.
  8. The latest bracket (from USCHO poster Priceless): 1 CO College (WC) 2 Michigan (CC) 3 New Hampshire (HE) 4 North Dakota (WC) 5 Miami (CC) 6 Denver U (WC) 7 Clarkson (EC) 8 Boston Coll (HE) 9 St Cloud (WC) 10 Mich State (CC) 11 MSU-Mankato (WC) 12 Minnesota (WC) 13 Boston Univ (HE) 14 Wisconsin (WC) UR BSU UR Army Worcester -- Albany -- Madison -- Colorado Springs UNH -- UND -- Mich -- CC Denver -- Miami -- Clark -- BC Mankato -- Minn -- MSU -- SCSU Army -- BU -- Wisc -- BSU Going from UMN yesterday to BU today. Ouch. I really hope we can get top 2 overall otherwise our first round game will be tough.
  9. Why would TH laugh if it was serious? Hopefully everything is ok... I'm hoping that both Oshie and Genoway can play against Tech.
  10. I was thinking that as well. Has the flu, but still wants to play. Starts the game, but feels too sick. Does the same thing in the second. He looked normal on the ice. We can hope that it was just the flu and not an injury. Heal up quickly, Sioux!
  11. Vermont leading UNH 4-3 with about a minute left in the game. If UNH loses, that could help the Sioux in the PWR.
  12. Any fighting DQ's handed out, or just roughing penalties?
  13. I hope someone can post video of that pre-game video of Oshie and Malone...
  14. Vermont currently leading UNH 3-2.
  15. Yeah, current projections would have us playing UMN in the first round with Miami/SCSU in the other game. Tough bracket. I would rather get one of the top two seeds and get to play the AHA/CHA autobid team, of course, than have to play one of our conference rivals in the first round. Still lots of games left though to change it all up again...
  16. Hopefully we can hold off Miami for that last #1 seed...
  17. Current field would be: 1. UM 2. CC 3. UNH 4. UND 5. Miami 6. DU 7. Clarkson 8. MSU 9. MSUM 10. BC 11. SCSU 12. UW 13. UMN 14. BU 15. AHA/CHA 16. AHA/CHA
  18. Agreed. They outplayed SCSU badly in the 1st period, and had many quality chances in the 3rd.
  19. Same thing when Duncan missed on the wide open net off the feed from Oshie just a few minutes later.
  20. Miller has looked good out there. I didn't realize he was so fast until last Sun afternoon against UMD. He's got some wheels.
  21. The Sioux are winning all the races to the puck, where SCSU looks flat footed. We need to capitalize first and continue to play with this level of intensity.
  22. Some of us are being patient.
