Geez, 7-0 final. That's a serious butt-kicking. I'm perfectly fine with BC and BU having down years and missing the tourney. But at the same time, a little scared by how good SCSU looks in the early season.

Is BC going to start the season 0-4?

Bowling Green beats WMU tonight 4-1 and moves to 4-1 on the season...impressive start for BG. NCHC doesn't have a great record OOC currently...

I thought Hain played well against BSU. Was surprised to see him sit both against MSUM, unless he was injured?

You know, if our special teams didn't suck so bad, we could be winning. They have two PPG and one SHG? C'mon.

On the plus side, our PK is tops in the nation! Oh wait, I was looking at that upside down, it’s actually last. Oops.

The team looked better offensively than during the BSU/Manitoba game, so at least there's that positive. It's great that they're limiting shots for the other team, but doesn't help if the goalies have a .600 save % and the d-corps gives the opposing team grade A chances. I would love to see a win tonight, but I'm guessing still another few weeks before this team hits its stride.

Geez, seriously exactly like last year. They score a goal then immediately give it right back up. Can never build on a lead. Frustrating.

I think I'd be fine with taking a couple years off from having BSU on the schedule. Regardless of the sweet loss & tie this weekend, I remember a couple real snooze-fests like Saturday night over the last couple of years. Let's mix it up a bit. Unfortunately they're already on the schedule for next year too according to Brad's blog.

5 goals in 3 games including the exhibition. Not looking good for offense this season. Might be a long year...

Who is this Spiewak kid, and how did he manage to score on Ryan "Un-score-on-able" Miller?

Haha! It was sweet justice watching Spiewak score a minute into that game in 2001. The entire pregame had been about how dominant and amazing Ryan Miller was in goal. Then 2 shifts into the game and Spiewak pots one. And Karl quietly pitches a shutout on the other end.

I'm sure those Panzer kids were getting handed phantom assists left and right on the scorecard.
