  1. Things must have gotten really bad over on GPL following the title game loss...the Gopher fans are all coming over here now. It's ok guys, it's ok.
  2. I saw that on GPL as well and laughed. Wasn't it something like 10 months difference in avg age between the two teams? 10 months??!?!?!?# No wonder that Union won the title, no team could be expected to overcome that sort of age difference.
  3. Now that Schmaltz is staying, I am confident that his bro will be here. That is huge.
  4. Honestly, the whole 0.6 second thing doesn't bother me too much. Not trying to downplay it at all, but it feels the same to me as if UMN would have scored in OT or with 10min left in the 3rd. The "time remaining" part of it doesn't bother me. If the UMN fans want to make a big deal of it in the future, I'm fine with that...but it still won't bother me. This UND team was an underdog their whole run through the NCAA's...UMN was ranked #1 almost the entire season. When remembering that game, I'll remember it as the time that UMN got lucky at the end after being thoroughly outplayed for a good chunk of the game...and then got dominated two days later in the title game. Frankly, if given the chance, I believe that UND would have given Union a better game on Saturday...although I don't think they would have won. Union was just on another level during the postseason. 0.6 forever!! Denial over.
  5. Bodie was a senior, so gone regardless. Either way, losing easily your two best dmen is not going to help Union next season.
  6. Which contradicts their attitude prior to the game, when many of their fans were talking about "not being afraid of Union" and how Union hadn't faced a team all season as fast as UMN. Haha. Long live tArrogance!
  7. I was wondering that myself. Either way, it was pretty humorous/ridiculous to watch. Was it Serratore that dove later in the 3rd (looked like he actually jumped up to get nice air)...that one was a laughable attempt at drawing a penalty.
  8. Congrats to Union. Have to like a team winning their first title, and to beat the Gophers in the process is just the icing on the cake. Have to think that Union takes a pretty decent step back next season. They lose a decent amount of seniors, plus you have to think a few of their juniors (like Gostisbehere) will bolt for the pros.
  9. 6 goals in the 1st? What the heck? Looks like UMN used up all their energy when playing against UND.
  10. Great meeting you and skating with you all those years ago at Lake Aggasiz park. Best of luck with everything and your new little one! Hope to see you back here in a few years if time allows. PS - how come you are leaving but some of the dingbat "fans" remain? Can you take a couple of them with you?
  11. Can we really trust an article that makes this grammatical mistake:
  12. I can't really see Rau leaving right now either. He fits into that same skilled/small forward type like Grimaldi/Czarnik/Barber, etc. And the Miami players are sticking around, as would be Grimaldi I'd assume. Gaudreau has got to leave (right??). He is obviously ready for the next level...BC was lucky to have him come back this year. If he leaves, I could honestly see BC taking a small step back next season. That would be their top 4 scorers all gone from this year. We'll see I guess.
  13. Connor Hellebuyck; if you score on him, keep the puck because it does not happen often. Oops, I meant Tretiak.
  14. The league will be great at feeding their egos against weaker teams and for them to promptly get bounced from the NCAA's because they haven't played a tough opponent all season.
  15. Looks like it. Wouldn't be surprised to see UMN run away with the league title even more next season. It looks to be a bit of a watered-down B10 next year.
  16. The Gophers have reason to be "arrogant" coming into this game. They are a #1 seed playing the last team to get into the tourney. That said, anything can happen in the tourney...Gopher fans should realize that better than most after the HC debacle. I wouldn't be terribly shocked if UND's season were to end next Thurs, but at the same time, this UND team is surprising everyone. If they pull yet another upset and beat UMN, I would guess that #tArrogance would disappear pretty quickly. At least until next season starts.
  17. Ouch. Seven of their top eight scorers gone. This really was their year to win it all until they ran into the UND freight train. They will definitely be in a rebuilding year next season.
  18. These are ridiculously cool. Thank you for posting!!
  19. Not even close for this fan. Sounds like you've been drinking the Kool-Aid over at GPL too much lately.
  20. Another really loud game at the Ralph was the WCHA First Round playoff series against DU a few years back. DU won the first game and UND won the 2nd and 3rd game, both in OT to advance to the F5. When Nick Fuher scored in OT in that 3rd game, it was crazy in that building. Loved it!
  21. Very cool to see. Yeah, he definitely got them fired up at the end there, very cool.
  22. They can't do much worse than they did this year in that regard!
  23. Miami should be a tough team next year with all three of them returning. Of course, everyone thought that this year too. Wonder if they made a "pact" like when Duncan/Oshie/Chorney, etc all returned.
  24. Agreed on Czarnik since he is not very big. Coleman's injury that cost him a good chunk of the season probably swayed him a bit...he probably feels like he wants another shot at a good season with how much he missed.
