  1. Agreed. Starts with a Cornell team with only one loss all season. And then 2x series against both Omaha and Western. If the PWR stays anywhere at all close to what it is now...will probably result in a ton of all-NCHC regional finals (especially if the committee puts them all in the same regionals to avoid the dreaded all-NCHC frozen 4). Currently the NCHC has 2x one seeds and 3x two seeds. That first goal of his tonight was sweet. Carried it with a ton of speed, nice deke near center ice and then gets the goal surrounded by all five CC players. Beauty of a goal to tie it up.
  2. So they have two players out and then lose to OSU by 5 goals? They must not be that deep in talent evidently.
  3. I really didn't think this team had a shot at the NCHC regular season title, but with how much other teams keep beating up on each other, anything's possible.
  4. Nice 1 goal win for the rookie netminder.
  5. No idea how that didn't get called.
  6. Big statement game for UMD after last night.
  7. Big Friday win. Started slow with the CC goal, but really played well for most of the rest of the game. Go get them tomorrow!
  8. WMU wins but drops two spots in the PWR. How big does that sweep of DU look now.
  9. His save % of .889 is certainly not ideal. Still half the season to steadily turn that number around.
  10. That game is over too. DU won 5-0. Fanti let in 5 goals on 26 DU shots. Maybe not fully recovered yet.
  11. He played tonight.
  12. Good to have Costantini back.
  13. I wouldn't be very surprised with any result, especially with what UND has shown us recently on Friday's.
  14. Yes, the opposing teams do keep scoring early.
  15. At least not on Friday's.
  16. No, Fanti got the start tonight for them.
  17. Exactly. CC is no pushover and we're without two of our best players. One of which is possibly the best player in college hockey.
  18. No Sanderson and no Calder. Hmm. Wouldn’t be surprised with another split. Hope he’s not out long term.
  19. Two big questions: Can they break the Friday letdown curse tomorrow? Does CC still have the floating Tiger head on their webcast?
  20. Ciskie just wants a trip to Hawaii.
  21. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/7314698-UND-expects-Ashton-Calder-to-be-ready-after-Christmas-break?fbclid=IwAR35PZcqFdFhxoj3OSLjuFblI0v440QQnDx46n6E2nFcpo2hS4momafTX_k
  22. The team showing up for the Friday game would be a plus as well.
  23. I think Gaber has potential for that role. Dude has a wicked sweet wrister. Much like Duncan, he even has his "spot" on the PP.
  24. I didn't see the last 2min that way at all. I just rewatched it on NCHC.tv too, and it was the same as I remember. Those last 2min were Sioux hockey! I lost count of how many blocked shots UND had. Sanderson blocked like 3 in a row, one right in his chest. When the best player in college hockey is putting his body out there like that, that says something. SCSU pulled their goalie on the 4x4 to make it a 5x4, then again after the Jamernik penalty to have a 6x4. SCSU has the best PP in the nation, and UND kept them to the outside for that entire 2min, got in passing lanes whenever they tried to go inside. SCSU also missed the net a bit and many shots got deflected. Other than the penalty (which looks to have been aided by a bit of a dive), UND closed that game out very well IMO. SCSU had maybe 2-3 shots get to the net that entire last 2min. Also, watching the replay, the Jamernik penalty definitely happened prior to the Kleven ENG. Kleven had just taken possession when it happened, and then he shot the puck. The refs made the right call there in not allowing it.
