I would guess Fanti will sign as well. That means they lose two of their three goalies. Then they have 12 seniors/grad players as well, who knows if any of them will use COVID years or not. That's a good chunk of their current roster gone. DU has fewer seniors/grad (five), but I would guess Savoie and Brink will get offers to sign.

Makes sense to me. That team looks good to me. More skill than this year, even losing one of the best college players in the country (even if he didn't play much). Hate that we have to be discussing this so soon, but the pieces are all there for a solid team next year, for sure. With many of the top teams in the country (especially in the NCHC) set to lose a ton this offseason, I see no reason why this team shouldn't be a favorite for the Penrose once again, and be a legit contender for a title run. We'll see how it all plays out.

Has anyone seen DeRidder play? He has decent numbers for being on some pretty bad teams during his time at MSU. Hopefully he can come in and be a good duo with Hellsten.

I thought the Swede looked good in his couple starts during Driscoll's rough patch...but at the very least you need a capable backup and/or goaltending duo rather than a completely unproven Hedquist. The team will be improved next season so you'll need a good goalie or two.

I am humored by the Omaha fan on Facebook...Bob Gacz or something like that. Every time someone posts something about "Sioux" on USCHO/CHN/NCAA Hockey/etc Facebook page, he comments and corrects them to Hawks. Every single comment and post. Like, that must take hours of his life some days. That's obsession and it humors me greatly that he's devoted so much of his life to correcting UND fans on FB.

They don't have much to enjoy with their hockey team, so at least we give them some joy from time to time.

The hope is that whoever wins between DU and UMD gets knocked out in the F4.

Not necessarily who I think will win...but here is who I will be cheering for: UMD vs DU - DU ND vs MSUM - MSUM UMN vs WMU - WMU QU vs UM - QU Unfortunately that sets up a F4 semifinal between MSUM and WMU, the two remaining teams that I'd like to see win.
