  1. Yeah that was an odd comment. Especially as a ND resident who attended UND (along with most of my HS graduating class).
  2. You might be setting yourself up for disappointment expecting a road sweep of the #1 team but we’ll see.
  3. Yes. We were also outplayed & outshot in the first game too against Princeton (IIRC) but beat them just because we had the more talented players.
  4. Geez. Neither of those make sense to me. Of course, I don’t get paid the big bucks. Hoping Judd can break out of his funk on the big sheet.
  5. Yep, loudest post shot I've ever heard too. And I was sitting upper level. It sure shut up the Badger fans sitting around us that we giving us a bunch of crap in the 2nd intermission when we were down 2-0.
  6. There was. Also the nickname for Sault Ste Marie, MI, the home of LSSU.
  7. I don't really have a great feeling heading into this series after seeing our defensive and goaltending lapses against QU. UMN has more offensive studs than QU does (although I'd argue QU might be deeper). I wouldn't be shocked at a loss or two. But would love to be surprised. Prove me wrong, boys!
  8. Ever hear of a place called the Soo?
  9. Thurs Night hockey action: OSU 9 - Bentley 2 (former UND recruit Halliday with a hattrick of assists and now leads the team in points as a frosh) PSU 6 - STU 2 (PSU remains undefeated at 5-0-0)
  10. Six players to watch in the UND/UMN series: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/six-players-who-could-make-a-difference-in-the-und-minnesota-rivalry-series Condensed version - Senden, Blake, Frisch from UND Cooley, Knies, Snuggerud from UMN

  12. RIP Earl. Hopefully Ben can get a goal or two this weekend in his honor.

  14. Some Tues night hockey action: Holy Cross 7 - AIC 3 (HC 1st win of the season) Merrimack 6 - UNH 1 Canisius 3 - RPI 2 (RPI 1st loss of the season) Northeastern 3 - BC 3 OT (BC stud freshman Gauthier playing his 1st game, also gets his 1st goal)
  15. Agreed at this point, unfortunately. I was hoping he'd breakout a bit and have a big senior year, but I'm not seeing it yet. Through 4 games he has the same number of penalties (3) as shots on goal (3) and zero points. Not the best stat line thus far.
  16. UND to host Providence in the HoF game in 2024 at REA: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-to-host-providence-in-future-u-s-hockey-hall-of-fame-game-destination-games
  17. Looks like we'll be taking on the #1 ranked Goofers this weekend. Hopefully the boys can knock them down a peg or two.
  18. I assumed he was talking about BSU since they were at the Ralph about a year ago. And he's right, they did go on to big things...19-19-0 was a pretty good record before they got bounced in the CCHA Tourney Championship to MSUM in OT. One goal away from making the dance!
  19. BU hands UM their first loss of the season, 3-2. Notre Dame beats NMU, 5-4.
  20. Hopefully the boys can get out of Mariucci with a split (or better). And then the destination game against ASU, which hopefully goes better than last year against PSU. PSU had a poor season last year after they beat us, and I feel the same could very well happen with ASU. So hopefully the team can take care of business in Vegas to help boost the PWR. ASU just split with Colgate and has CC this weekend.
  21. Yes, I know.
