Another UND PP. Hopefully they can do a bit more with this one.
-
Some good QU pressure and then a couple good UND chances before the commercial break.
-
I feel like Hellsten loses the puck in traffic quite a bit.
-
This is literally just Rand trying to take momentum anytime UND picks up some steam.
-
Goal stands
-
I literally can't even see the game and that was an easy call that he would challenge it.
-
Unless Rand decides to challenge like he tends to do.
-
Blake again. 1-1
-
UND GOAL!
-
0-1 QU less than 2min in. Since we can't see it, was that on defense or Hellsten?
-
Working for me.
-
UNO allows three LSSU goals in the opening 6 minutes, behind 3-0 still in the 1st.

I'd say go back to DeRidder. He seems a bit more calm/poised than Hellsten in net so far. From my view watching on TV, it looked like four of the five QU goals were excellent shots from high scoring areas (the 4th QU goal seemed like one that should have been stopped most days). It's hard to fault the goalie on them IMO. Would I have liked to see them stop 1-2 of the others? Absolutely. I still think this is DeRidder's net to lose at this point in the season.

I vote Owen Mc for fastest. He showed his impressive wheels a couple times last night.

Not often that you see a 0-0 OT tie between two undefeated teams: https://www.collegehockeynews.com/box/final/20221014/osu/con/

I'm sure he'll rack up some shutouts once QU gets back into their ECAC schedule, but felt good that the boys hung 5 on him. Hopefully another 5+ tomorrow.

Calder with a good start to the season with PSU...3 goals in 4 games. Michigan crushes BU 9-2...UM had three 5x3 goals in the 1st period. NCHC OOC results weren't amazing, but a couple wins/tie (3-3-1): SCSU 5, UW 1 UNO 3, LSSU 1 WMU 8, BGSU 2 UND 5, QU 5 UMass 4, DU 2 SLU 5, CC 1 MSUM 6, UMD 0 Will be interesting to see how UMD responds tomorrow after that butt-kicking.
-
While QU had more blocks than UND 17-13, credit to Frisch who led all players with 8 blocks. No one else from UND had more than one.
-
Glad the boys were able to break QU's perfect PK tonight...a couple times.
-
SCSU stays perfect on the year by beating UW 5-1.
-
And seriously. How good is Blake already? Makes me very excited to see what level he can get to in the rest of his time here.
-
Yeah, certainly with how it looked after the 1st. Team showed how strong they are by coming back like that against a top 10 team (and crushing them in SOG at the same time). Some areas to clean up in the defensive zone for sure, and you'd like to see one of your goalies just make that one or two more saves, but the result of a tie is better than how it looked after 20min.
-
Great 2nd and 3rd. Definitely impressive how this team responded being down 3-0 and 4-1.

I can't believe they didn't even sell out that small arena on opening night.
