https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-hockey-team-looks-to-turn-offensive-zone-time-into-better-scoring-chance All those blocked shots. That was frustrating to watch.

I met Hakstol in the Minneapolis airport a couple months ago. The guy looks the exact same as he did back at UND...he's like Paul Rudd...refuses to age. Super nice guy though, spent like 5-10 minutes just chatting Sioux hockey with me.

Rich get richer.

Yeah, I don't think anyone said that at all.
-
Penn St at 8-0 is pretty impressive...although they've been feasting on cupcakes: 2x wins against Canisius, Mercyhurst, St Thomas, and UW. We'll see if they're legit or just fat on cupcakes the next two weekends when they play UM and UMN.
-
I think it was more based upon him being rated a "C" prospect by a different publication...which seems quite low based on his early season performance thus far. Either way, wherever he gets drafted, hopefully he can stick around for 2-3 years at UND and make a nice impact.

Morrow and Miller on the blue line. Rizzo and Halliday with the forward group. With those four, we'd have about 10 more goals this season.
-
I like it. New destination game format for the team. Make the F4, go to that destination to play a game or two (hopefully two).
-
Damn. Yes, him too.

Bring back Blayzsie?? Serious question.
-
Should prob start with some sort of conference affiliation.
-
I’d celebrate pretty hard if I was a new program that just won a destination game against a nationally ranked team and held them to only 15 sog in the process. I’m less worried about how the other team celebrated and more worried about how poor UND looked.

Oh for sure. Not a single player on their roster has over 2 goals this season. Except for Jack Randl...who has 10 goals already. This kid must have eaten nothing but Wheaties this offseason. He scored 0 goals as a freshman at UM. Then 5 goals as a SO at UNO. 9 goals in 38 games last year as a JR. Now 10 goals in only 8 games as a senior? Very similar numbers to Judd Caulfield for his FR-JR seasons, but I guess Judd didn't follow in Randl's offseason Wheaties training for this season. They even wear the same number. If UNO were in my adult beer league, Randl would be the ringer that everyone yells to cover when on the ice. "Just watch #28!"

UNO always brings their best game against UND, and they're at home to boot. With how UND has played in their last few games, I certainly wouldn't be shocked if we had some more angry forum comments next weekend.

This has sweep written all over it. Not sure which team though.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/a-destination-game-dud-in-las-vegas Also didn't realize that Strinden was injured during the game: If Montgomery, Albrecht, and Strinden are unable to play next weekend, we'll be playing every available forward.

Recruits decommitting isn't just a Berry thing. It's a college hockey thing. Didn't happen much at all 10+ years ago that I remember. Now it seems like every program (especially the big ones) have it happen multiple times a year.
-
Some of those "second-rate portal kids" have been playing well. DeRidder kept us in this game and the UMN games. Jandric is still our leading scorer. And we just lost to a team that is almost primarily portal kids. The portal isn't the problem.

Ouch

Well, we are #31 in the PWR currently.
-
They could just watch the last three games. No more scouting needed.
-
We do have Lindenwood on the schedule, but that's not until January. That could be a split at this rate, as well.
