Sweetness! Either way, a new season is upon us. I'll remain optimistic that the team can hopefully piece it together at the end. A nice start to the year against a team that will be good this season in HEA. That'll help come PWR time. Now hopefully get a couple wins in Mankato next weekend...

I'm all for some wins to start coming in March/April. That said, my comment was just poking fun at the posters that were ready to march Berry out of town last weekend after an exhibition loss.

UNO outshot 54-18 but still win 2-1.

UMN and Omaha tied 1-1 in the 3rd. Goofs outshooting them 46-13. Not normally one to cheer for UNO...but go Mavs!

Man, ASU with 2 goals in the final minute to force OT. Don't see that too often.

MSU gets the split with BC, winning 4-3. I guess BC won't go undefeated to the National Title. Shucks. A day after Lindenwood upsets UW, UW beats them 3-2...but needed OT to do it. Duluth splits with Lowell. WMU sweeps Ferris. Hampton with his 1st collegiate win.

The pitchfork and Fire Berry crew gets silenced for one week at least. Nice win over a solid team!

I was plenty critical of the teams play in the Augie game thread. I just don’t feel the need to continue to pile on throughout the entire week.

It is possible to expect more out of the program while at the same time not be re-hashing the same tired points over and over again for the last four pages. The season hasn't even started yet. The whole team and coaching staff has been preaching about how they have higher goals beyond the Penrose this season...which was met with enthusiastic "it's about time" comments around here. So the team is hoping to continually build throughout the season to hopefully peak in March/April. But yet one uninspired exhibition game and the people that "expect more of the program" are already jumping on the Fire Berry bandwagon. In early October.
