What we've seen on the ice so far could point to many things, doesn't necessarily have to be divided locker room. Speaking of divided locker room. I was a bartender at the Hub my last couple years of college. Some of the players would come in from time to time and the other bartender was roommates with a couple of the players. One night a group of 6 players came in and ordered burgers (best burgers in town back in those days!). Two of the players left without paying (dine n dash!), which pissed them all off. Two others paid their bills and left. The last two players split the two dashers and their bills to pay off the rest of the tab, so we hooked them up with a couple free beers to thank them. They proceeded to tell us all sorts of stories about the two dashers and how everyone on the team hated them...now THAT was a divided locker room from the stories they were telling. But...that team ended up making it all the way to the title game before losing to Denver.

Why start doing that on Game 13, right?

Agreed for sure. With all the Hakstol F4 tourney success before that followed by Berry finally getting the team over that final hump…that should have been a springboard to getting a few blue chippers on board in those next few classes. Sure didn’t happen though.

Bad luck? What are you talking about? Please show me anywhere I’ve ever posted that our lack of recent tournament success was due to “bad luck”. It should be easy for you to find being that I do it on a regular basis.

There were a couple stinker recruiting classes in there that seemed to put the program back a bit IMO. A couple after the 2016 title and then again after the COVID dominant years. Seems to be an uptick lately at least, we have some very solid recruiting classes on campus and incoming. Hopefully that translates on the ice at some point... I'd still take our last decade over BU and UM...they may have more F4 in that span, but we still have the 2016 title while BU's latest was 2009 and UM's 1998. DU, obviously, is on another level recently.
