  1. I remember many years back taking Al's Bus as a "one-off younster"....had a blast! If you like beer, you'll find many friends on the bus.
  2. I heard there will be an opportunity to stretch legs and grab some refreshments at the NCAA Offices in Indianapolis.
  3. GREEN....'nuff with the blacks.
  4. Well, maybe the Ralph was quiet for a reason this year. They were getting the team used to playing in front of no crowd noise come tourney time. I hope it works! GO SIOUX
  5. We've had a taste. Thanks, Nathan Poole!
  6. Travis didn't wait around for Darcy.

Anyone get a chance to jot down pricing on yesterday's (Wednesday) jersey auctions? I had an opportunity to watch them on Tuesday, so I have those. If you did, give me a shout. Thanks.

  10. JP Parise is no longer there.
  11. They re-signed him on March 8. So, they must have liked what they had seen from his first two debuts. But, he did get released after those first two games. Maybe it was the way his first contract was written that resulted in the cut>re-sign.
  12. Evolution... Devolution...
  13. The name has nothing to do with the Ralph being too quiet. As far as 99% of the fans (or even higher than that) are concerned, they're still the Sioux until a new name is in town. As far as the NHL is concerned, they're about on par with two years ago, and the season isn't over yet (less than 1% difference in attendance). They've also competed with a much harsher North American winter this year and the Olympics. I am not going to compare this NHL season to last year's shortened season since a shortened season creates an obvious boost in attendance.
  14. The new Ralph has had its moments, but in general is usually more quiet than anything. This year has been worse than others. Everyone from Hennessey to Average Joe would complain that the building is quiet because the team is giving them nothing to cheer for. No! You cheer to get the team going, not the other way around. Our road fans make much more noise than the home fans. Student section has been worst in UND Hockey history as well.
  15. The 4th leading goal scorer among UND alumni in the NHL this year, Brock Nelson, potted #11 on the season. Zajac and Stafford at ten which gives UND 6 with double-digits in the season goal column.

Don't trust eBay for a jersey like that. They are mostly all fake, and some of the ones with pics of legit ones will send you fakes. The upside is, ebay is pretty lenient about getting you your money back if it is counterfeit. That Blackhawks shop sells fakes. Steer clear of that. Just pony up and pay retail for it. The best part about buying from the Sioux Shop is the profits go to the school...hence why I never buy something from overpriced Scheel's if the Sioux Shop also has it.
  19. Antti Raanta honors former Blackhawks goalie, Ed Belfour, with Eagle mask for Stadium Series. Photos and video: http://www.csnchicag...m-series-helmet Also on CSN Chicago, they name Toews the most untradeable athlete in Chicago.\ Video: http://www.csnchicago.com/blackhawks/jonathan-toews-most-untradeable-chicago-sports-player
  20. Strategy, yes, I can agree with you. Recruiting, yes to an extent, but we aren't the only ones out there trying to bring in the best kids...and we've brought in a ton of good ones and lost a few to Major Juniors/NHL who could have put this team over the top. Motivation, no. If being able to play in front of 11,000 fans every home game while wearing a North Dakota sweater in a town that has seen the likes of some of the best college hockey players to play the game, and you need your coach to motivate you, then you have issues. In 2005, Denver was the better team. Could we have won? Yeah, but should we have? Not necessarily. In 2006, with a young team, our goalie/defense didn't play very good. In 2007, the goalie didn't show up again despite the rest of the team playing good enough to win the game. in 2008, inexplicable. In 2011, we outplayed Michigan in all facets but goaltender, just didn't get the bounce you needed to have that shot at a title.
  21. Cool, an internet tough guy! (Hey look! Now you can add "tough guy" to the list of names you've been called on "thus" "bored")
  22. I wish the players would get us over the hump. Last I checked, Hak hasn't suited up since 1992.
  23. In Wisconsin there are a lot of closet hockey fans, depending on what part of the state you are in. It's not the most talked about sport, but there are plenty of knowledgeable fans. It isn't like Minnesota or Michigan where HS titles are a coveted thing, but the Badgers have great interest in some, and are totally disregarded by others. Don't be fooled by the "Wisconsin doesn't care about hockey", they just don't care about it like most around here are used to where it's the number 1 sport. Oh, and Aaron Rodgers had a cheese, sausage, and onion omelette, blueberry muffin, and two large glasses of orange juice for breakfast.
  24. One team doesn't make a trend. If the championships went something like this... Michigan - Maine - Michigan - Wisconsin - Maine - Michigan - Notre Dame - Maine - Wisconsin - Maine - Michigan ...then you'd have a point about there not being parity. The fact that BC has won as many as they have is stellar. Problem is, it's only BC doing it. It's like the Trent Dilfer excuse for fans of NFL teams who don't have a talented quarterback. They think because one team did it, anyone should. Doesn't work that way. BC won't ride this horse forever, just like Michigan didn't after the '50s, Denver after the '60s, Minnesota in the '70s, and North Dakota in the '80s, etc.
