  1. Just asked him...didn't do "recruiting." I'm a Denver fan anyways....
  2. This is straight from the Lion's Mouth....take it for what it's worth. I'm not going to say how or where I got this, but as this afternoon this is what Riley Nash said about where he's committing. That was his response after I asked him about him supposedly coming out soon saying he's going to commit to Denver. Like I said, take it for what it's worth...it ain't much...not expecting too much response from it, I just hope it provides a little hope as to us still having an equal chance, which is more than what's been talked about recently. It might be just a cookie cutter answer so he doesn't give up too much info. I just hope he stays out of the WCHA if he doesn't commit to UND.
  3. Little early to start drinking, even for a Thursday, don't ya think?
  4. The catcher must have really framed that one...
  5. BC is a speedier team, however they don't play the run and gun style that teams like Michigan play. They'll play a more balanced and thought out offense which, I think, help us. However, if you do play the run and gun, you're more apt for turnovers and penalties which is why the Sioux ended up scoring 8 goals against the Michigan team. I think it's going to be any combination of the teams scoring between 3-4 goals a piece. I won't be surprised if it's an OT game, which wouldn't bother me at all!

    STL

Just got back from Pinehurst golfing, clubs would definitely have to come with to St. Louis! Temps are nice in St. Louis right now.
  7. Dang it, clicked the wrong thread.... I saw recruit and went for it
  8. Not sure how accurate the site is, but it doesn't seem to have any sort of bias...here's the link, sorry... Click here
  9. Just something I read about Riley Nash...appears he's down to just Denver and North Dakota, and Cornell is a distant third option. The article is a little old, but hadn't seen it yet. That Mike Connolly is a Duluth, which appears to be a good recruit for them. Hopefully Nash will make the better decision. I think I was more scared of him going to Cornell than Denver, so now that it's down to us and Denver, I'm not as scared. Either way, we'll be seeing him in the WCHA.
  10. Who else is just too f'in excited to wait!?!?!?!?! GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One more week til the SKATE FOR EIGHT begins!
  11. I believe all voting is over according to this thread (or another)...so, the winner is already picked, it just won't be announced til Friday. Go Duncs!
  12. You could just ask people wearing Sioux stuff at a designated location....and it's free.
  13. I don't think so...I don't think he's made a decision yet. He may be waiting til his season, or the college season is over. I don't think that our Frozen Four appearance does anything but help our chances of landing him, assuming he's still up in the air with who he wants to play for. We shall see!
  14. Hahaha...golf classic joke is funny... The radio link is hilarious too
  15. What do you know about these guys? Everyone knows that us and them are the hottest teams in the country right now, however, we don't get as much east coast coverage resulting in a lack of information/interest around here (until now!). I do know they moved one of their forwards (forgot who) to Defense and a defenseman to a scoring line and it has worked tremendously well. Also, their goalie is one of the hottest in the country right now, although he hasn't seen our boys in person yet this year. This BC team is a scary team. They were one of the top pre-season favorites this year, but were fairly quiet for the most part throughout the year, until recently. What do you know/think? Go Sioux! THE SKATE FOR EIGHT!
  16. I wouldn't discount Wong. He's a goood player. Skille is an obvious choice though, and Elliot.
  17. Hardly.... Packer fans = Badgers (all sports, not just hockey) fans = teams that actually can win something Gopher fans (all sports, not just hockey) = Vikings fans = teams that generally fail miserably more often than not
  18. So...you mean like the Packers and their fans? Go Pack Go!
  19. Personally, I never found Red Pepper to be that good.... ...then again, I'm not from North Dakota.
  20. If every single Sioux fan in the world voted just once, Duncan would win, haha.

    Booooooo

I think it's funny that when we lose to the Gophers so many people have to make up so many excuses and have to find every dumb little thing to rip on Gopher fans and players for.... I would have thought there'd be more adults in this forum.
  22. Here are a couple useless facts I dug up for this series while watching Galapagos last night (great show on Nat'l Geographic Channel by the way, haha. They are out of the ordinary and hopefully are seen as more of a joke....maybe not. Altitude Michigan average altitude played at: 793' Sioux average altitude played at: 1304' Michigan home ice altitude: 837' Sioux home ice altitude: 843' Pepsi Center altitude: 5435' (Sioux played 4 games at or near this altitude, Michigan 0) ADVANTAGE: SIOUX Large Crowd Attendance games (14,000 in attendance or more) Michigan record: 1-2-1 Sioux record: 2-2-0 PEPSI Center Hold 18,000 for hockey ADVANTAGE: SIOUX Neutral Ice Records Michigan record: 3-2-1 Sioux record: 3-1-0 PEPSI Center will have more fans than Michigan to go along with the better record ADVANTAGE: SIOUX Common Opponents This Season Michigan record: 2-1-0 Sioux record: 2-1-0 ADVANTAGE: PUSH So, it looks like Sioux have somewhat of an advantage despite the players and recent play.
  23. I know North Dakota is boring, but seriously...who cares so much that people keep posting over and over about some kid that just won a championship game in OT in front of many home fans about popping his jersey. WHO CARES?!?!?!? It isn't that big of a deal. IT REALLY ISN'T!!! I love the Sioux and all, but who really cares. To me it just seems there are A LOT of sore losers on this board.
  24. About the previous 17 games being 12-1-4 (now previous 18 are not 12-2-4).... The 2 losses were both OT losses. We haven't lost in regulation since January 5th at Colorado College....which is still virtually an unbeaten streak in a green-shaded sense.
