No...I agree with the article. The way I read it, it made it seem more realistic than possible, and almost against the Sioux. I also don't see how they can call Michigan a lock when current PWR puts us in a tie with them right now. Also, I don't see how BU and BC are both guaranteed so much more than us. Oh well...either way, the cities is on the OTHER side of the river....hehe

Agreed totally on the Sioux possibly not making it....it'd never happen. I just wanted to point it out...it is a decent article which gives many of the possible options for most teams which is nice. Just shows where USCHO's mind is when it comes to college hockey teams, and it ain't on this side of the Red River (of the North).

On a side note, they put us with: 1) Minnesota Golden Haired Goofers 2) YOUR UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA FIGHTING SIOUX 3) Michigan Wolverines 4) Alabama - Huntsville Who Knows What they Are That puts us against Michigan...not the easiest of matchups. Although, as a Hobey Watcher...Duncan can make his case over a top goalie candidate (along with Curry (BU) and Brown (Notre Dame)) this weekend against Goepfert, then in the first round show his stuff over another opposing Hobey candidate in Michigan's TJ Hensick.

I was just thinking, and figuring we could show a bit of respect to some of the visiting fans this year. Who, in your mind, showed the best enthusiasm as visiting fans this year at The Ralph? Any that stuck out in your mind? I was just thinking about this, especially since we didn't play the Goofers at home this year. I also remembering once arguing about this with some friends in a different sport, so I figured I'd ask you guys about this year for opposing fans of the Sioux.

You could do a partial REA style by starting with the Wasted Years song by Iron Maiden (intro only) and switching to a different, more upbeat song...although The Slam by Toby Mac wouldn't work so well for the rest of it considering Duncan didn't do much hitting in your video...

Keep in mind that they WILL have to travel to St. Paul though, whereas the Goofs and the Clowns don't have much of a bus ride....including the fans. In my opinion, I don't think a loss is necessarily a bad thing this upcoming weekend, but I'm not going to hope they don't either.

My prediction put UND at a T5 with Michigan... I'll take a 2 seed...don't matter at this point in the year because the Nat'l Champion is always a team with momentum, and at some point you have to start playing good teams anyways. So either way, you might get one...maybe two...games that are marginally eaiser.

Kinda hits ya when you realize that today might be, and probably will be, the last time we ever see the Duncan-Oshie-Toews line ever again at The Ralph. Enjoy the moment tonight. Doubtful you'll ever see a line like this in the near future. Who knows, maybe they'll lay an egg and we'll get to see them tomorrow, or maybe they'll stay. But, let's be realistic.

Come Duncan's fourth and final year, I can't wait to hear the ovation he's going to get. What he's done in less than two complete years is just phenomenal for a guy his size and who wasn't highly touted originally.

For one, this should help Ryan's chances at a hobey. Two, Minnesota and Wisconsin are still probably the two best schools to go to in the conference if you're going for an education....especially Wisconsin.

BC has been really hot lately, kinda in the same boat as us. That'd be interesting if we met them in the playoffs again. As of right now, the two teams playing best are us and them.

It seems that many people here have maroon and gold blinders on....since that seems to be the only series that anyone compares anything to this year. One series does not matter, just look at the Maine series. Just because it was early on doesn't make it a part of this season. So when making a comparison, you should include more than just one series.

Last year he was attrocious...however, this year he really developed well. He was much better with the back, he's always very unselfish, and has decreased his turnovers greatly. Also, he's starting to use his size more, although isn't fully developed there. Assuming he stays for next year, I think he'll play a significant role in our success.
