  1. Well, even without the Sioux playing this weekend, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some great college hockey. #1 Miami squares off against #2 Michigan in a battle for #1 and the CCHA lead. This is a good chance for UND to move up in the Pairwise depending on how the series turns out. The game will be on CSTV at 7pm Friday night. UND could move up to #2 in the national rankings as well. We'll really get to see which of these teams is the real deal. I have a feeling it will be a clean sweep by one of the two teams, I'm just not sure which! #5 (PWR) Denver (who's in a tie with us in the PWR) plays #18 Minnesota. Hopefully we lit the fire under Minnesota for this weekend to sweep DU. These will be big points for both teams (just like our weekend against UMN) and should be a fun weekend to watch between them. The games will be on FSN as always, although if you don't want to be PO'd because of bad talk against UND, this is prolly the right weekend to finally mute your favorite FSN announcers. #3 (PWR) Colorado College squares off against dangerous #20 St. Cloud State. SCSU has had a disappointing year unlike CC's surprising year. Will SCSU's great scoring forwards get the job done and give CC the beat down it deserves, or will the disappointing Huskies get smacked in the face by Cinderella's glass slipper. Again, big WCHA points at stake. If CC gets swept, we are in GREAT position to take this conference given no slipups down the stretch. #3 (PWR) New Hampshire goes to unranked Maine to take on an always dangerous Black Bear team. This game doesn't have a whole lot at stake for Maine, but UNH will always want take the points to help their HEA cause. If UNH gets swept or even only two points, this could be huge for us possibly getting a #1 seed. So sit back and enjoy a still-exciting weekend of college hockey! Hopefully things will work out in our favor.
  2. Sconnie is gonna be stacked just as much or more as we are I think.
  3. Kaptain Rylan Kaip
  4. How about the PK side of a 4 on 3?
  5. I didn't see anything too far from the truth with what Donald said....he just shouldn't have gotten so pissed off doing it, haha.
  6. How big is their arena?
  7. The only problem is, who is allowed to fire Greg Shepherd....the coaches? If it is the coaches, I see it hard to have him voted out. How many out of the ten would it take? I'd say probably seven votes: UND: Yes DU: No MSU: No SCSU: Yes UAA: No MTU: Yes UM: No CC: Yes UW: Yes UMD: No It would be 5 to 5. I don't think that's enough to get it done. I took the two teams that benefit most from WCHA calls...UM and DU. Then I took the three lowest teams that also benefit from the WCHA due the the style of the reffing...MSU, UAA, UMD. Those teams like it because they play on a closer playing field in a WCHA than if we had good refs like other conferences.
  8. That would be entertaining! "I bet y'all five bucks I hit the ball this time!'
  9. Didn't know where else to put this and didn't think it deserved its own thread, so since it happened the same weekend as our Mankato game I'll put it here.... One of last years Hobey Baker finalists, Eric Ehn, will miss the rest of this season from a leg injury. Definitely a disappointment for Air Force and the rest of college hockey. They are one of those teams that can beat anyone if they play well.
  10. Why would we want a really nice stadium when we can only half fill the Alerus for the last home game...a playoff game.
  11. My inbox is full
  12. Cold outside, too hot inside. I can't even open my patio door in my apt cuz it's frozen shut.
  13. I've made thousands that way
  14. Hak musta finally read my email...
  15. I didn't get to see the game with Trupp on the Duncan-Oshie line, but my thoughts before it happened were it would be too small of a line that just wouldn't be good enough in all three zones. Kozek adds grittiness and defensive skills to go along with a canon-like wrister. Andrew isn't an amazing passer or puck-handler, but he's good enough that he can create problems for the other team when Osh and Duncs do most of the work. I've been saying Duncan-Oshie Kozek for months now.
  16. I think this is disappointing in a sense that it has the potential of losing some of the good recruits that would have come to a U.S. school. It just adds a bigger sense of rivalry where a US kid might be looked at as a traitor for going to a Canadian school and vice versa. I know Canadian kids come here already, but that's because there isn't the option of getting both a career education along with developing as a hockey player in Canada. Now that there is that option, are they going to feel obligated going to a Canadian school? Maybe yes, maybe no.
  17. The trick is if you hit it on the face it will feel good. Hehe
  18. Taylor Made R7 SuperQuad 9.5* with Aldila VS Proto "ByYou" Stiff shaft
  19. LaPoint has been one of our most solid defenders all year. He isn't one to deliver a big check, but to say he doesn't play physical is isgnorant. He does a great job of playing bodies instead of pucks and taking men out of the play even if he doesn't give a glass shattering hit in the process. He's a great passer with a knack for shooting the puck at the right time and finding holes and gaps. He will be one that will be a big loss when he leaves this program.
  20. Watty had an assist at least...
  21. Come on Matt Watkins
  22. Another one! Haha...jeeez, Mankato can't catch a break....
  23. Wow, no goal....we got lucky. Let's get Lammy the Donut now in his run for the Hobey.
  24. Under Review....FUUUUUUUUUUUUUDGE
  25. I want to see Lucia do some damage in the post-season now that he's well past inheriting a team that was assembled by Wooger.
