  1. I agree, it's Porters to lose, but it was Hensick's to lose last year too and look who won.
  2. I hate to burst your bubble, but I doubt you'll get anywhere near the same amount the Oshie jersey that sold last night got....unless you find that crazy lady again.

Yeah, early on they were going for much cheaper. I got my Watkins for 400 the same night Chay's went for 350 or 375 or whatever it was. So much for "collecting" game worns, haha.

That's hilarious. I didn't realize how many other SiouxSports-folk were around the table at the time. I know LFSPRO, but that's it. One thing was how she felt she DESERVED to meet the team for paying that much. I didn't see anywhere that you get to meet the team for paying ridiculously high amounts for a couple jerseys. I hope UND rains on her parade (the rain being piss and her parade being the cheerios, hahahaha)
  5. My guess is he'd have a little work to do yet, but I wouldn't put it past Phil to do what he needs to do. Ryan Duncan was a little ahead of where Phil is now in terms of Hobey respect, and it's that much harder for a goalie. Half of winning the Hobey is advertising, hehe. The better the Sioux do, and the longer their streak lasts, the more Phil's name will be out there. Ryan Duncan was our only consistent scorer in the first half of last year, and was one of the only reason's the Sioux even had a chance to make a second half push, but it wasn't til the Sioux were winning did he get mention. That's why players like Ryan Jones and Kevin Porter are at the top. Sioux keep winning and everyone else keeps losing = Phil headed to the TOP!
  6. OK, so there are only a few weeks left in the season, and the Sioux are having their perennial Hakstol second-half push. This push is mostly thanks to Jean-Philippe Lamoureux, our legit Hobey Baker candidate for 2008. His Friday night game wasn't his best, but to still get the win against the #6 team in the country, plus give up only 1 goal in the Saturday game to finish the sweep, puts Lammy right back near the top. He has some serious competition though. Kevin Porter (Michigan), Ryan Jones (Miami), and Nathan Gerbe (BC) are having something to say about it. This weekends results: Kevin Porter: 0-3-3 (32-25-23-48) STOCK STAYING SAME Ryan Jones: 3-0-3 (32-27-13-40) STOCK STAYING SAME Nathan Gerbe: 0-1-1 (29-22-22-44) STOCK DROPPING Jean-Philippe Lamoureux: 2-0 (.930 (#2), 1.7844 (#1)) STOCK RISING Ryan Cruthers: 1-1-2 (29-19-25-44) STOCK RISING INCH Hobey Tracker HOBEY BAKER VOTING ONLINE PHIL 4 HOBEY Website KEVIN PORTER HOBEY Website GERBE FOR HOBEY Blog CSTV Hobey Chat WCH Hobey Blog Entry Add any thoughts, articles, predictions, photos, or whatever about this years Hobey Baker run! That lady was a complete bitch...totally classless. Fans like her are what make the rest of us look stupid. She acted like she was the only Alum in the building... Whatever, she got, or paid, what she deserved.
  8. I still think it was me yelling hateful sayings to Mr. Peter before each game. He was way out of position on so many occassions, if it wasn't for some unlucky bounces and decent defense by DU at times, we could have run of the score pretty big. A goalie like Peter is still a really good goalie. You have to think that after he STONED us in 2005.
  9. Like stated above, Walski can play on Friday all he wants Lammy will play Sat. and Sun. If I had to guess, Walski Sat., and if he wins, he'll start Sun. with Phil ready to go if something happens.
  10. Let's not have our Sat. night home game meltdown anymore...let's bring out the brooms and finish the deal.
  11. For those who watched the FSN-RM feed, how were the Denver announcers all night? How did they handle the 5th goal by us? When watching them against MN they didn't seem like the type of announcers to get too amped up during a game, but was just curious to see hear what they thought of the game.
  12. I hope you weren't at that AC/DC Tribute concert at Sensations the weekend of the home Gopher series. My roommates and I were bored so we were hittin' on the cougs there...funniest time of my life.
  13. Multiple times this year Joe has wanted to mix it up, even going so far as dropping the gloves and taking off the helmet once, but the other !@#!$! skated away.
  14. Is it too early for a JP for Hobey sign tonight at the game?
  15. Russell Stover recruit Scott Winkler, teammate of Sioux commit Garrett Clarke, who had been lightly recruited by UND has committed to Colorado College. I think UND was more interested in Clarke, but it seems to be a nice pickup for CC.
  16. I agree with everything redwing said except about Madison being an all around boring sports town....are you kidding? Sports Illustrated has rated them the number 1 college sports town in the country in the past, which encompasses the level of athletics, fan support, students, and things to do around town. Also, Brett Favre really doesn't get thrown under the bus. People get pissed at him from time to time, but that's the love-hate relationship that Packers fans have with Favre and why ultimately they love him so much more. I've never seen Favre thrown under the bus really (not like Lee). Go Pack Go!
  17. LaPoint has all the makings of being a great all-around defenseman. He's a great passer, a smart shooter, and thinks the right way on defense. He knows that defense comes first with his position and keeps it his priority when playing offense. After he puts on weight, he will be a beast and his shot will get better than it already is. He is perfect at doing the 6-12 inch shot on net (and gets it there) which is perfect for tips and rebounds. Marto is a great skater that can move the puck, and his passing is good, but needs to be more consistent. He gets too deep, too often when on offense and gets hung out to dry. He needs to be more physical (I don't mean that in terms of hitting people) by bodying up and moving people out of the way or holding them up along the boards. Marto has the potential to be pretty darn good, but will need time to take the rawness out of him. He'll come along.
  18. With that ranking, no one should ever take you seriously on this board ever again. That rank would be a lot closer if you went from last to first (maybe that's what you are trying to do?) Is this your goalie ranking too? Walski Snider Lamoureux
  19. INCH has JP in their top 3 now for Hobey Baker. Let's go Jean-Philippe!
  20. I don't think that's a ranked list, but I don't know too many kids better than our 3 guys. I'd love to have #8 before these kids get here, so they can be the ones to tie Michigan's 9.
  21. Click here I think that's what half of the NCAA thinks we're like
  22. That is absolutely hilarious. The funny thing is, I can see JP doing something like that, hahaha
  23. Bachman and Kangas are the next Mannino's....which could suck in the future.
  24. Where did it say it was going to be on ESPN? The joke it was based on was from ESPN.
