I think Chicago was calling before the deadline, I just don't think Chris was answering any calls. Being a draft pick that played all four years in college, I think he wanted to wait it out and see what kind of options he had since he only had to wait over summer to become a free agent and to figure out what he wanted to do. I think it was the smart thing to do. Guys like Chris Porter are what make UND teams the way they are. Kaptain Kaip is doing a great job this year as well.

I believe the game is on Fox College Sports Atlantic, not Pacific. But, thanks for the heads up since I forgot to check that. I'm excited about #1 vs. #2 tonight. It's REALLY weird seeing that outside of the WCHA.

My personal opinion is that it was something outside of hockey that prompted him to leave, then signing with the Canadiens is what he chose as his out.

Rumor is that Brock has signed with the Canadians now and will report to their AHL squad. Still only a rumor.

UW's band is one of the best in the country, but isn't it's shining moment in hockey games. It's known more for it's football games and even b-ball.

Still 13-0-0 at home

OK, here's how we derail CC this weekend. CC is 13-0-0 at home this year, which is REALLY scary with them having home ice for the regionals and close-enough for the Frozen Four. CC is home against SCSU this week, so we are going to put the jink on them. Tell everyone you know that CC is undefeated at home this year. Do that, and we're on our way to hopefully taking this conference.

I remember seeing that happen. It was right by our net and even JPar was freakin' out for a a med guy to get over there.

I like a good band, and MTU's is good, but half the stuff they play don't really pump up a crowd and they just play random songs. I'd rather have a good mixture of speaker and band music.

Up in Houghton I can't recall speaker music either, although they do have a goal horn. MTU's band really gets into it...sometimes it can be annoying though, haha.

I agree, Freeman has done the best job anyone has in the stripes that I've seen. I tell him that usually when I see him, but he always says that we'll just yell at him then.

Yeah, it's on the Sears wing of the mall. Through where I work we had a couple shirt samples done before we did an order with a big company. Apparently they are pretty expensive, and from what I've seen they don't look to be super accurate. I've had some nice stuff done with www.vintageminnesotahockey.com. For the MSU game we had that Bokal guy as a ref in the two-man system. Forgot who the other was. I never saw him before or after. In the location I had I got to chat with him in the ref tunnel a bit and found out he's related to Todd Anderson (not blood related). I'm not sure how much other reffing he does in the WCHA, but maybe it's a chance for him to move up to a ref permanently in the WCHA if he wasn't already. Bokal for Schmidt?

I have both green and white. Sweet jerseys, lots of complements on them for sure. If you can find a good place to do number kits, that'd be really sweet to go with these jerseys.

Well, even without the Sioux playing this weekend, that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some great college hockey. #1 Miami squares off against #2 Michigan in a battle for #1 and the CCHA lead. This is a good chance for UND to move up in the Pairwise depending on how the series turns out. The game will be on CSTV at 7pm Friday night. UND could move up to #2 in the national rankings as well. We'll really get to see which of these teams is the real deal. I have a feeling it will be a clean sweep by one of the two teams, I'm just not sure which! #5 (PWR) Denver (who's in a tie with us in the PWR) plays #18 Minnesota. Hopefully we lit the fire under Minnesota for this weekend to sweep DU. These will be big points for both teams (just like our weekend against UMN) and should be a fun weekend to watch between them. The games will be on FSN as always, although if you don't want to be PO'd because of bad talk against UND, this is prolly the right weekend to finally mute your favorite FSN announcers. #3 (PWR) Colorado College squares off against dangerous #20 St. Cloud State. SCSU has had a disappointing year unlike CC's surprising year. Will SCSU's great scoring forwards get the job done and give CC the beat down it deserves, or will the disappointing Huskies get smacked in the face by Cinderella's glass slipper. Again, big WCHA points at stake. If CC gets swept, we are in GREAT position to take this conference given no slipups down the stretch. #3 (PWR) New Hampshire goes to unranked Maine to take on an always dangerous Black Bear team. This game doesn't have a whole lot at stake for Maine, but UNH will always want take the points to help their HEA cause. If UNH gets swept or even only two points, this could be huge for us possibly getting a #1 seed. So sit back and enjoy a still-exciting weekend of college hockey! Hopefully things will work out in our favor.

Sconnie is gonna be stacked just as much or more as we are I think.
