I find it easier and more accurate to listen to it on the radio.

What's funny is I don't feel like I'm missing out on any Sioux hockey information with him gone.

I found this to be interesting: "Eleven players were nominated for the CCHA 2007-08 Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Candidates much have a 3.25 grade point average through the fall term of the year in which they were nominated. Faculty representatives from each school do the nominating, and there

I agree with what you said about Miami in terms of them being able to beat us if we don't take them seriously. However, it isn't because of Zatkoff. He looks good because he plays against teams with little offensive fire power. Look what happened when he played one of the top teams in the country....he gave up 9 goals in a weekend. He's a good goalie, but isn't amazing and his defense in front of him is worse. Miami will win by oustcoring against a good team.

No, I was no part of the fiasco...I'm not even sure why he left to be honest...other than he got in an argument with someone. He's just a baby about it instead of a man.

"SIOUX SPECIAL" UND made the front page of the College Sports page on ESPN.com Click here Sweet

Since the Sioux are having a tough time scoring, I'd do my best to put as much pressure as I could on their defense and try and score more than 2 goals somehow. The defense is way scarier than there offense right now.

I wish I could go home to see that...it'd be sweet to wear my Sioux Hrkac jersey there so everyone knew his true roots.

Your Thrashers link is linked to the Blues page.

No, and personally I don't care. That's his choice to act like a baby as an adult.
-
Someone did mention it when he first left UND, but was dismissed as false. It's no one's story to really tell around here...it is what it is.

Well, I don't think you apply until the season is over. There is certain criteria that needs to be met to get it. I forgot what they are exactly and don't feel like looking them up, but you can't play more than a certain percentage of games and whatnot, but will be available if needed until the season is over. It's just that if we do play him, he may be at a point where he'd lose his possible redshirt and then lose a year of eligibility. I think his shoulder is ok now for the most part, but why use up a whole year of eligiblity just for a few games...it's not like he'd be in game shape this time of year anyways, so why take the chance. He did look good against UNH and created some great oppurtunities on offense, but his defense is probably a liability and his stamina most likely is not there either. I think that he will be a stud come next year as long as he doesn't get hurt again.

Toews and Kane article on ESPN.com by Scott Burnside

Yeah, he had work ethic probs, his own teammates said it while he was still on the team. That was not the reason he is no longer with the team.
-
If he plays, he will lose his medical redshirt, so if he hasn't played all year except for a couple games, why start now. Let him get as healthy as possible for next year and save a year of eligibility. The kid has skills, I thought he looked fast and athletic when he played against UNH(?) for a game.
-
Yep, was an off-ice incident for sure....wasn't playing time or work ethic.
-
Not to discredit JPL, but he was co-Defensive player of the week with St. Cloud's goalie Weslosky.
-
Judging by actually reading what he posted.... "and the winner gets a 87 retro white - xl retro sioux jersey!! " "Kid can't even read"

USA's identity is secret outside of this forum. Don't worry how or where he gets it, just be thankful he does get it, because he is right a lot more often than he is wrong.

There is no need to question USA Hockey's info...he is legit. He said there was a possibility that someone was going to commit shortly, that doesn't mean he guaranteed it. At least he actually posts knowledgeable information every time he posts instead of useless garbage half the time that is meaningless like some of the people around here. He doesn't say stuff just to say it, trust me, he is on the inside. I don't see Brad Eidsness being perfect right away coming in, so giving multiple starts to Walski would be beneficial. Thanks for all your information USA...keep us posted.

Yeah, it would be hard not to be at least a 2 seed, but there's always a possibility we wouldn't be.
-
Why did you take it so offensively? You have stated before that we need to be a number 1 seed, and although we are ok right now, we are are a loss or two from falling multiple spots in a hurry. Heck, even if we keep winning, we can still be overtaken by a team like Miami. I didn't say that you said we were sitting great, that's why I used a contradictive statement. I didn't say we weren't sitting good either. Not everything is flowers and roses and nothing should be taken for granted. A 1 or 2 seed isn't guaranteed right now for us. We haven't played that great during this streak we've been on and have been lucky to pull out as many games as we have. It's nice to know we can play a lot better and still win when we aren't, but it's scary that we can't beat some of the teams we've been playing by more than we have been lately.
-
We are by no means sitting great though.

If he's coming next year does that mean VV is leaving? Seeing Dayne in anything but #29 would be weird.
