Ahh come on...so you would rather go out and play UNH on their home ice?? I don't think so. I am hoping for Mariucci so there can be a ton of green in the crowd including myself. There will be none in Manchester. Also it is time to break out the black jerseys for the tourney....Go Sioux! I HOPE the committee puts us at Mariucci as I am sure almost all Sioux fans do.

At least then the games will be in HD on ESPN2.

I hear ya...they got what they deserved...but unfortunately when the brackets come out tomorrow morning so are the Sioux. Going from home ice crowd at Mariucci to a hostile environment in Manchester against UNH.

The ONLY silver lining on the weekend was aiding in keeping the Goofs out of the tourney. Man our power play looked terrible, and PK was not much better. I am hoping for a flip of the switch next weekend but if we get sent to that bracket in Manchest playing UNH on their home ice is going to be a damn tough draw.

Anyone know if Toews is still injured or just a continual scratch?? I would have thought after the Dogz game he would have been in there instead of Davidson. At least he has a chance to put the puck in the net. Anyone??

How in the hell can the Dogz lose two games at home to Anchorage and a crappy offensive team like AA lights up Stalock the last weekend of the season and they go gangbusters from there?? That is what makes college hockey so great I guess.

I am 95% sure this is the way it will play out...but that is the punishment for a horseshit weekend...playing UNH in Manchester....not good at all. Not too mention BU if we win a game. This weekend really hurt our seed.

With us laying an egg this weekend...sounds like it cost us a chance to be at Mariucci. Man I was hoping to go to those games. There will be no one in the seats at the Mariucci regional...you couldn't give those tix away.

The way I see it...it is pretty much guaranteed we will be at Mariucci.

It is pretty hard to put up good numbers when you are stuck on the 4th line all the time. Look at how he did against CC the second game of the series at the Ralph when Gregoire was hurt against CC and he was on the top line. I thought he was the best player on the ice that game and scored at least one and if memory serves me right maybe two goals.

Yeah but Kozek needs to be out there on the top power play unit. Not as a fill in. Yes the Sioux came out well to start the 3rd...but the obvious question is why did they not come out like that to start the game?? Hakstol said himself if your blood is not boiling this time of year something is wrong...That is the psychology of sport I guess. The Dogz played their second game in 2 nights and they looked like the fresher team...oh well, time to move on.

I have said this before but Kozek needs to be on that top line. Hextall should be on the 4th line. I understand the whole balance thing but Kozek is the best sniper on the team and does not get enough ice time as a 4th liner. Why is Kozek not on the power play??? Makes NO sense to me at all. Our PP sucks!! Very frustrated. Yeah Stalock had a shutout but most of his saves were pretty routine. I sure wish I could ask Hak this question.

AMEN to that! I was already pissed leaving the arena tonight after the game and walking back toward Tom Reid's and headed to the car some asshole Gopher fan sees my Sioux jersey and says "go back to the prairie" in a really sarcastic manner right to my face. Boy that threw me over the edge. I got right in his face and said listen here asshole, I am not from the prairie, I am from Minneapolis. I just left it there and flipped him the bird and walked away...what a jerk. Man was I pissed. Gopher hockey fans are the biggest pricks in sports. Never ever had a problem with Dogz fans at all. My blood is finally below the boiling point...

Agreed! Until I see it on a Sioux press release you have to take these articles with a grain of salt.

No question about that! Although in the playoffs Chay needs to play a little tighter. He was horrible last year in the loss to BC... That being said Chay is a great player and when he picks his spots I think he is the best offensive d-man in the WCHA.

I believe Zach recently signed a new deal for 4 or 5 years. I think he is making 2.5 this year and up from there.

Neither guy had much for punches...the ont the annoucer called a haymaker look like it pretty much just missed Greene and he went sown...kinda funny!

It was a great senior skate! One of the best games I have ever witnessed at the Ralph. If we had lost it would have been a buzz kill. I just had a feeling once we killed that penalty in OT we were going to find a way and sure enough!! What a great weekend of Sioux hockey!

Anyone else think Kozek deserves to be on that top line permanently? He needs more ice time than a 4th line player. Man he threw some huge hits this past weekend and has the hardest shot on the team. I realize Gregoire is great as well but I think Kozek should be up there with Dunc and whoever (either Gregoire or Hextall) for the duration. Thoughts>??

In no way am I writing off Porter but the longer you are in the AHL as a lower end prospect the harder it is to make it as a regular in the NHL. I hope Vandy plays in the NHL but I am just saying he will have to make a major impact in Springfield to get the call. I am sure there are plenty of guys there chomping at the bit so he will have to get in line in the pecking order.

I don't understand why Kozek would not join the 2nd line but I guess Hak wants to maintain the balance in the line up. Either way I can't wait for the weekend and a stick salute.

Could be and I hope he makes it but I see Porter and Vandy as similar players. Porter is booged down in Peoria and I see the same thing for Vandy in Springfield. Kinda like Irmen in Houston. These guys are close but not quite NHL caliber players.
