  1. Sioux down 10-8 with 16:24 left in the first half.
  2. Sioux down 7-6 early according to SI...... EDIT: 14-8 Sioux down with 6 minutes left in the first.
  3. I was looking at something wrong Yes, everything seems to say 4.
  4. Who is the fifth? I only count 4..... EDIT - something is messed up - in Brad's blog there are five put in the post above there are four. Which is correct? I'd assume Brad's blog so it's five.
  5. Looks like we've got another offer out there. ATH James Harrington Cedar Falls, Iowa Cedar Falls 6'0" 170 N/A - offer from Indiana State http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-James-Harrington-113505?colleges=show#college_choices Looks like he spent his Jr. year as a WR.
  6. And the Sioux lose 5-3.
  7. Sioux have scored 2 in the top of the eighth and trail 4-3. Two outs and a runner on second.
  8. The main knock on him was the number of INT's he threw in his one JC year. We'll have to see if that affects him at UND or not, if he wins the QB battle.
  9. A couple more of interest per rivals. LB Myles Copeland Wichita, Kansas Collegiate 6'1" 217 N/A - no known offers http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Myles-Copeland-109185?colleges=show#college_choices ATH Adam Bungum Dodge Center, Minnesota Triton 6'2" 180 4.6 - no known offers http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Adam-Bungum-124205?colleges=show#college_choices
  10. Blair Townsend is hopefully going to step into this role this year. I had a buddy watching some of the early practices prior to him getting hurt, and he said he thought Townsend was the best of the group. He's got good size and speed, so if he's completely healthy I think he becomes a threat. Additionally, I'm looking for RJ McGill to take more of a Dressler role next year - the short speed guy that gets things done. Assuming we find a competent QB to get them the ball, next year may be a good offensive year....
  11. He hurt his foot/ankle according to the live chat. Not sure on severity, although he's back on the bench.....
  12. Here is a player to add to the interest list. QB Derek McGinnis Crete, Nebraska Crete 6'3" 195 4.7 http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Derek-McGinnis-122095?colleges=show#college_choices
  13. This is my interpretation as well. Same goes for Wisco and Minny. As we had started taking the steps to retire the nickname, they were starting to be willing to play us. But, if we say screw you to the NCAA and get back on the black list, they will probably go back to not scheduling us. The only way the will play us as the Fighting Sioux is if we're not on the NCAA's list. If Big10 hockey comes about, we may see them (Wisco and Minny) not schedule us in hockey because of this.
  14. 2 minutes to go in the first and the Sioux down 33-28
  15. It's working fine for me. When I logged in and launched the webcast, there was a prompt that I had to click yes on (don't remember what it was). But other than that everything looks fine.... UNC up 25 - 24.
  16. I'm going by what they're saying on the screen while watching the game. According to the screen the score is 19-18 UNC.
  17. Great! I'm definitely going to watch a little tonight.....
  18. I know I'm in the minority, but the passage of this bill does not really excite me per se. I've prepared myself for life without the Fighting Sioux name, and I think that this could really hurt our athletic teams (with the exception of hockey). Don't get me wrong, I love the Fighting Sioux, but I love the University of North Dakota more. But the overall affect on the athletic department could be huge, and not in a good way.
  19. Although it doesn't matter too much, HBU is actually number 313 out of 343 in the country. It's the HBU men that are last in the country in RPI.......
  20. http://marlinlee3.tumblr.com/
  21. C'mon Sioux - hold on! Thanks for the updates dan!
  22. I know it's only Minot State, but it appears that the Sioux men have been playing better as of late. Maybe they're finally starting to turn the corner and could be competitive once play in the Big Sky starts......
  23. The main reason it isn't ok, once we're eligible, is that D2 wins don't count towards the supposed 7 win requirement for the FCS playoffs, whereas FBS teams can count one FCS win towards being bowl eligible. Montana mainly missed the playoffs this year due to only having 6 D1 wins, as their 7th was against a D2. And if it replaces Montana Western or Black Hills or Sioux Falls this year, I'm fine with that. However, it would be nice to have an all Division 1 schedule for 2012 when we're eligible.
