  1. I figured I would start a thread about the 2011 FCS Playoffs, so anyone who would like can have a healthy discussion on the field this year. I'd like to keep this clean of smack, so when our Bison friends chime in please don't smack them just because they're Bison fans. So, here is a printable version of the bracket. http://fcsnow.com/Do...1%20bracket.pdf The four opening round games, and my picks, are as follows: Albany at Stony Brook Central Arkansas at Tennessee Tech Norfolk State at Old Dominion James Madison at Eastern Kentucky The second round on December third will look like this: Stony Brook/Albany at #1 Sam Houston State New Hampshire at Montana State Wofford at #5 Northern Iowa Tennessee Tech/Central Arkansas at #4 Montana Old Dominion/Norfolk State at #3 Georgia Southern Maine at Appalachian State Lehigh at Towson James Madison/Eastern Kentucky at #2 North Dakota State Personally, I think the championship game is Georgia Southern against Montana, with GSU coming out on top. The Griz are peaking at the right time, and I watched the GSU/Bama game this weekend and I was very impressed by the Eagles. However, SHSU, NDSU and Towson are my other favorites, although I think there are 12 or so (ie - the teams not playing in the first round games this weekend) of the 20 teams that have a very legitimate shot at winning and I wouldn't be surprised. I'm very excited for the playoffs!
  2. Not sure when it was last updated. Scroll down and you can pick by conference. http://www.collegesp...rence-Schedules EDIT: Just by looking through it a little, it doesn't look like it's been updated for a while. I posted a note on AGS to see if the creator has updated recently......
  3. Well, lakesbison is registered and has been over there this week to tell them how easily they will dismantle UND......
  4. I believe there is also a home and home with Western Illinois this year.
  5. That doesn't sound good.....
  6. Too bad her twin brother couldn't have come here for football. 6'6", 290 and heading to Oregon State.
  7. Another offer on rivals. DE Ross Dzuris Plattsmouth, NebraskaPlattsmouth 6'3" 230 4.6 http://rivals.yahoo....s-Dzuris-119105 Also, Drake Michaelson is now showing up on rivals - here is his profile. http://rivals.yahoo....chaelson-124057
  8. UND has offered Drake Michaelson, LB from Eden Prairie. Other offers are from Wyoming and SDSU, as well as a host of DII schools. http://www.gopherhole.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1528
  9. So what's going on in this game now? Any updates?
  10. I believe they would share the title, but if it were an auto qualifier league then there would be tiebreakers in place.
  11. Poly knocks down the desparation pass and takes the W and is in the drivers seat for the last GWFC championship.
  12. Down to the last down of the game with 4 seconds left from the 45
  13. Poly returns the punt to the 29 and ends up with the FG. Yotes have the ball with 10 seconds left at the Poly 45. Exciting ending. I think Dante got hurt, so USD has their backup in.
  14. After being down 17-0 at the half, Poly has tied it at 24 with 2 minutes remaining.
  15. Burned again - wtf is up with the defense?
  16. Sioux force the three and out and get the ball at the UNC 47
  17. I wasn't around for the start - who gets the ball to start the second? UNC?
  18. Nice catch and run. Need to have consistent QB play that will make those throws.
  19. 7-7
  20. Where is Miller?
  21. Back to the UND - NorCol game. This game worries me. First, it's on the road which has been difficult for UND (the SUU game was a step in the right direction). Second, UNC is a passing team, and we've struggled against the pass again this year. Even against an NAIA team and a running team like Cal Poly (although they did pretty well againnst SUU). Third, even though we are coming off a loss, could the guys be overconfident because we're playing a team that is 0-8. Fourth, UNC probably is coming in with a lot of confidence after playing a good game against Montana State. I think the Sioux are a more talented squad, and if they can get good play from the QB position, they should be able to get the W by a couple scores. I just can't shake this feeling that UND may be in trouble. For what it's worth, the last time I had this feeling was Sioux Falls (and to a lesser extent, Drake this year in which UND did struggle a little bit). GO SIOUX!
  22. Who else is looking at Labatt? Sounds like a versatile athlete, and would likely make a great LB for the Sioux.
  23. Hopefully within the next couple years you will be saying "Where the heck is everybody" when the attendance number falls below 10k
  24. SUU and Cal Poly tied at 17 with 10 minutes left in the third
  25. Looks like Boise, Navy, Air Force and Central Florida are getting invites to the Big East - the first three in football only and the last in all sports. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/football/ncaa/10/14/big-east-expansion.ap/index.html?sct=hp_t2_a3
