You know, I'm having a feeling that the home schedule, other than Poly and USD, is not going to be very good in 2011. We know of Sioux Falls (unless it has been bought out), but other than that and the two away FBS games we know nothing. You'd think that we would have heard something through other teams schedule leaks, but nothing so far........ I am really looking forward to the 2012 Big Sky schedule. Add in a home game with Central Arkansas and at San Diego State, it should be a great schedule. Also, 2013 will see SDSU coming to the Alerus on top of the Big Sky schedule, so we are going to have some good schedules the following years, which actually could have given us incentive to get a few home games for next year as the front end of home/home agreements (since we already have one good home OOC game scheduled for 2012 and 2013). Maybe next year won't be as bad as I'm anticipating......

Sioux fumbled into the end zone and Lamar recovered, and the game has since ended. Sioux win 31-6.
-
Jake Miller getting some carries. Wondering why Goska is still in - this could be time to get Hendrickson or Nichols some game experience. The Sioux have over 400 yards, and they are at the Lamar 35. And Jake Miller with a 25 yard gain down to the 10.
-
Sioux have 8 penalties for 138 yards. Lamar has the ball at the UND 37.
-
Just got back again, and it looks like it's 24-6 Sioux......and Chris Hall with a pick six! First INT of his career! 31-6 Sioux with a good lead.....1:49 left in the third quarter.
-
Goska threw a TD pass to Jerrell Davis - 58 yards. Goska is 9-11 for 128 yards (or something, don't know if I heard it right). The other TD was Murray, who has 2 carries for 16 yards. UND has 10 first downs, and Lamar has 12.
-
Unfortunately, they have only scored when I step away from the computer so I haven't heard anything. Maybe someone who is watching can help??
-
And on a last second pass, the Sioux are flagged for pass interference so Lamar gets another shot. And UND picks it off in the end zone. 14-6 at the half.
-
Sioux are up 14-6 with time winding down in the first half. Had the ball at the 25, but a personal foul is sending them back to the 41 yard line. So, they have taken another stupid penalty to take them out of FG range - now Miller is going to attempt a 58 yard FG. Had the distance but wide left. Lamar will get a few plays to try to score.
-
Not for us in MPLS. Missed the past few - Sioux are up 7-6. Don't know what happened.
-
End of 1st at 0-0. Lamar has the ball at the Sioux 37 with second down and 12 or so.
-
Not too shocking, but UND giving up first downs every time we get to third down, this one a 17 yard scramble on 3rd and 10. Lamar at the UND 35.
-
And the Sioux can't convert - 4th down at the 37 again. Downed at the one again, but UND flagged for interference with the return man. Stupid penalties are hurting us so far with field position. Not sure where they're spotting it, but assuming out around the 25. EDIT - they have it at their own 20.
-
Schwenzfier (sp?) picks it off and returns it deep into Lamar territory to the 10 - flags on the play so we'll see where it is. Marked way back at the 44 yard line on a personal foul.
-
Goska overthrows a receiver on third down and they punt from the Lamar 37, and the Sioux down it at the one. C'mon defense..... Sounds like there is some success running the ball, but Goska needs to settle down on the pass. I'm still afraid that the Lamar passing game will burn the Sioux......
-
And we're off. Lamar with the ball first. GO SIOUX!
-
Looking at the poll, we gave #3, #5 and #6 their only losses on the year. Not too shabby.....

Shot in the dark: What is the number of Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, RS Freshmen and True Freshman on this years Sioux Football Team?
-
That was an example of how not to run the two minute office. Overall, even though a loss, the injury depleted defense played well. Unfortunately, I believe if they had been playing a passing team we would have been seeing a lot worse score on the board....

that was a rosenfels like fumblecopter....
-
Lamar actually did play today - the lost to South Alabama 26-0. Montana is tied with PSU 14 all at the end of 3.

Just remember that that close loss, which UND could have won on the last play, was to a team that thoroughly dismantled the Gophers last week. I hate comparative scoring, but that makes me think that UND would have just as good a shot to beat the Gophers as the Yotes did. I'm not saying that they would have, or it was not a huge win for USD, but I think using those two games as a barometer that this should be a close game. USD's offense scares me, but if our d-backs can keep the receivers occupied long enough and we get good pressure on Dante (and not let him scramble too much) I think that UND has a good chance of taking this game. The offense is coming around, albeit against some lackluster competition, but the confidence level is getting high based on those games. I think both teams end up in the thirties, and I'm going homer and saying the Sioux come out on top 35-31.

Also Northwestern St beat DII Tarleton State 17-14. For comparative scoring purposes, Northeastern St beat Tarleton in week one 31-23.
