  1. I also like what DeWitt may be able to bring to the table. Although we may complain that there is a lack of "name" candidates, I think the group that has applied does have a few strong contenders.
  2. Negative. I'm hoping he's one that is waiting until the last minute
  3. Pflugrad would be a great hire, but I have him at number 2 behind Caruso. But I guess I trust Faison, as he's made some really good coaching hires in other sports.
  4. Well, today is D-Day. Looking forward to who may be putting in their applications and hoping by the end of the week we have a new coach!
  5. Cal Poly OC applied as well today. Bring in the triple option!
  6. Also says John Wristen has a good shot at being named head coach at Eastern Michigan.
  7. I've been firmly entrenched on the Caruso bandwagon myself. However, if there was a possibility there I wonder how much the opening with SU would impact that.
  8. That's not an official FU account. If you read BV, that is SamsRams account.
  9. I do feel badly for his players - especially the seniors - if this is true, which I'm starting to believe it is. This could also have a HUGE impact on NDSU recruiting. You don't think Bohl will be trying to get Eason Stick with him to Wyoming? This offseason in the Dakotas just got a heck of a lot more interesting.....
  10. Myers and Freund. I'd heard that Faison made no promises that the new coach would keep them, but that he'd put in a recommendation that they should be kept.
  11. Oral Roberts is officially heading back to Summit. Big for that conference.
  12. Agreed - any kids that choose that UND isn't the right fit for them for whatever reason I will wish all of them well.
  13. Care to share the other player was, or if he is a likely flight risk?
  14. Don't disagree there ALthough there are a couple I wouldn't hate.....
  15. According to the SFI latest blog, they know of (weren't naming names) a couple of the names they brought up in an earlier post that were going to apply around the 10th. I would be satisfied with most anyone on that list, so that's a good thing. Still not sold completely on DeBoer or Bubba, though.
  16. Wayne Nelson noted that there were 34 applicants as of mid-Monday, and the names most fans want aren't on there. Has anyone seen the updated list anywhere?
  17. Wyoming HC was fired today as was the OC at Iowa State. Another couple potentials I haven't researched as to whether they would be good candidates.
  18. I had heard that Jackson was considering transferring prior to the school year as well. Not sure on the accuracy so never posted anything about it.
  19. They've both struggled to start the year though correct? Seems Omaha, who isn't eligible, is playing decent ball. I think NDSU can still take the Summit as it appears to be quite down this year.
  20. I wish them all well. Maybe kotelnicki will stick around as special teams coordinator and luke could stick around as WR coach.
  21. Would Bollinger be willing to come here as an OC if the opportunity arises in your opinion?
  22. Glenn Caruso would be my number 1 choice - I went to grad school at St Thomas and a friend of mine had a brother playing so we'd go to quite a few games - I firmly believe that Caruso could bring us to new heights. Also liked the suggestion of the coach from CSU-Pueblo - taking a restarted program to number 1 in the country in three years takes a lot of effort on the coaching staffs part.
  23. What I found interesting of the whole QB offering from Minnesota argument is that out of the MN QB's, the one we have an offer to is Keaton Studsrud. My personal belief is that Jacques Perra out of Roseville (threw for 296 and ran for 80 last night with 4TDs) and Wilkie would be better QBs in college, but then again I might now know what I'm talking about.
  24. Not sure why such a panic - we typically don't have that many commitments by the time the season is over. Also, most of the studs from last years class (Reyes, Kuksa, Norberg, etc) none of us had even heard of or knew they were being recruited by UND at this time. I'm assuming that will hold true this year as well. I will say I'm anticipating that a new coaching staff will have their work cut out for them, and this class may not be the caliber of last years, but I'm not ready to panic yet.
  25. Malik Bondon, MLB offeree, verbaled to SDSU.
