Not watching the game today but seems I'm not missing much. And to think at the beginning of the season I was thinking 7-4 or at worst 6-5.

Heard from a good source that Hooker has been playing a lot better in practice as of late, and the coaching staff is considering pulling his redshirt this year. Still not sure if it will happen, but he's been impressing lately.

I can definitely agree on that. Hopefully some of the younger guys that those of us on here believe to be super talented (Stockwell, Bell, B. Miller, Adams, Sharp, Cheatom, etc.) can help with that. Still some puzzle pieces to put in that likely aren't here yet, but we'll see what this recruiting class can bring up........

He's one guy that I'd really love for UND to land. He's got some skills.

I see Freund has a tweet about getting first one - maybe a commit. Looking for anything positive at this point.

Regarding Hooker, from a close source to him I heard that prior to practice starting they were going back and forth on what to do and ended up deciding that redshirting him was probably the best move. I think he really wanted to play, but understands the value of redshirting. Now this is nothing that people here haven't heard, but since they were very close to lifting the redshirt before practice started, but ultimately decided against it, I believe they are going to try their hardest to keep the redshirt on. However, the way the season goes may dictate whether or not they can do it.

Appears he also had offers from Neb-Omaha, Pacific, Arkansas State and SFA. Plus two more that aren't named. http://www.grandfork...icle/id/275746/

I tell you what - Cam Kuksa is quickly becoming the best player we have on defense. He was all over the place and I couldn't have been more impressed with him. I've heard that Cole Reyes was performing just as well as Cam before he was injured. I've also heard Norberg is the LB version of those two, so we should have plenty of young playmakers on the defense for years to come.

Damn - was hoping to get the big stop and go in with momentum. EWU with the ball to start the second half right? Need to stop them.....

So Mackey made a mental mistake leading to a TD? Huh.......

Hahn is in town for an official visit this weekend.

This, this and this........I really want to see more of the guys you have listed on there. I've also actually been impressed with Idowu at OLB, and it appears that Finley has disappeared off the two deep. Is he hurt or have the coaches benched him (or was I missing something)? I just think that with what seems to be a lost season (although the schedule does lighten considerably after this weekend) we need to get some game experience for a lot of the younger players and see what they've got. Also agreed on Henson from the other posts. He basically just stands up with the center and that's it. Needs to take on two guys at least, and if he is one on one needs to make more plays. I've heard that Cheatom isn't there with knowing the playbook, but he should also be playing before Henson. For some reason, even though this has been a complete bummer of a year, I still hold out hope that the younger players are who we think they are

I was only able to watch the first half and then caught bits of the second. Overall I didn't think the defense played all that bad from what I saw, but we were playing Idaho State. I was impressed with a few plays that Kuksa made, and think he has the potential to be that ball hawking safety that we have lacked for a while (dumb personal foul penalty notwithstanding). Thought the tackling was a little bit better today as well, but again you have to take a look at who we were playing. Offense looked good in the first half with the running game and the short passing game, but sounds like everything went to hell in the second half. I'm also amazed at how many stupid plays the team continues to make. I mean, it seems like any time we need a stop, we might get one and then there's a personal foul. Or the punt return team. How many times have we forced a punt and then an offsides or other stupid penalty gives the other team a first down. Overall, I wouldn't be surprised if we don't win another game this year. I think UC-Davis and Northern Colorado are the best bets for potential wins, but Sac St and Portland St have went from potential wins to likely losses in my mind. I'd love to be proven wrong, but that's how it seems. I just wish we'd get to see younger players like Labat, Rich, Butler, Sparks, etc. How much did Cheatom play today? I'm just sick of seeing the upperclassmen out there not being effective and still getting all sorts of playing time. Do the coaches favor older players? Are the younger guys not as good as these older guys? If it's the second, then we're in trouble in the future as well...

Well you could definitely hang the "playing time" carrot in front of his face
-
What the hell?
-
Another terrible penalty.
-
There's a surprise - personal foul on the punt to give ISU a first down. Not shocked.
-
The pessimist in me says ISU scores before the half. Thoughts?
