Ertel has committed to Boise State.

At one point just before Bubba was hired LB Blake Emsick out of Omaha noted he was visiting this weekend. Not sure if he is or not. He seemed really excited about UND and was one I thought we would get. Has an offer from Weber State and PWO/regular walk on opportunity at Rutgers I believe.

I believe we had an offer out to him early in the year.

UND has also offered DE Luke Elsner out of Wisconsin. Also has offers from NDSU, USD and Air Force.

UND has offered safety Alec Kocour out of Wisconsin. Multiple offers.

I've got it from a pretty good source that UND has about a 50% chance of landing Shanks. I believe he is definitely going to be visiting UND although I'm not sure when.

Rumeal Harris is gone too. Mankato I believe.

I believe Hoffner and Bubba overlapped at UND, as Hoffner was a grad assistant here I believe. I think I asked that question in a different thread and that was what the answer was. I could be wrong.

As it relates to recruiting, I've been able to find a couple things on some official visits. Not much out there yet. Keaton Studsrud is coming on 1/17 Blake Emsick is taking a second visit on 1/10 Deion Harris is coming on 1/17 Justin Didell, who we haven't offered, is coming on 1/17. He has us listed as "High" interest on rivals. 6'2" 280 lb DT. Additionally, offeree Anthony Love also now has us listed as "high" interest, along with South Dakota (offer), Eastern Illinois and a directional Michigan. Lastly, I see that Harris, Greeley and Develyn Ferguson have all connected on twitter, with Feguson appearing to reach out to them.

I caught most of the presser with the exception of the Q&A, and I too really liked the emotion he brought. I wasn't sure on this hire, but the emotion makes me feel better that he's going to work his tail off to make it happen. Can't wait for the staff to be announced.

Just saw on Bisonville that Wyoming has offered about 3 kids that NDSU has offered. None of them are current NDSU commits though.

I'm betting that he probably had talked to people about being part of a potential staff when he was named a finalist at the very latest, so he may very well have most of his staff verbally retained. I'm kind of curious if some of the coaches who applied for the HC job actually could be in the pool of assistant coaches, and maybe they threw their hat in the ring to get their names out there. Thinking some of the d2 coaches and the like. I'd really like to see Todd Hoffner on the staff. Not sure if he'd be willing to come in at anything under coordinator, but maybe to get back in the game he would.

Alright - let the speculation begin. Anyone have any names as possibilities they'd like to throw out?

EWU scores to start the second half - I think we're gonna have a dog fight this second half.

Makes sense - low on WRs now so I would assume we may be somewhat attractive option.

I would say the WRs will be McGill, Young, Carr and Ivery. I'm really hoping that Carr decides to tough it out - within the next two years he will be the man and he has so much potential to be everything that a Hardin/Dressler was.
