  1. Wayne Nelson noted that there were 34 applicants as of mid-Monday, and the names most fans want aren't on there. Has anyone seen the updated list anywhere?
  2. Wyoming HC was fired today as was the OC at Iowa State. Another couple potentials I haven't researched as to whether they would be good candidates.
  3. I had heard that Jackson was considering transferring prior to the school year as well. Not sure on the accuracy so never posted anything about it.
  4. They've both struggled to start the year though correct? Seems Omaha, who isn't eligible, is playing decent ball. I think NDSU can still take the Summit as it appears to be quite down this year.
  5. I wish them all well. Maybe kotelnicki will stick around as special teams coordinator and luke could stick around as WR coach.
  6. Would Bollinger be willing to come here as an OC if the opportunity arises in your opinion?
  7. Glenn Caruso would be my number 1 choice - I went to grad school at St Thomas and a friend of mine had a brother playing so we'd go to quite a few games - I firmly believe that Caruso could bring us to new heights. Also liked the suggestion of the coach from CSU-Pueblo - taking a restarted program to number 1 in the country in three years takes a lot of effort on the coaching staffs part.
  8. What I found interesting of the whole QB offering from Minnesota argument is that out of the MN QB's, the one we have an offer to is Keaton Studsrud. My personal belief is that Jacques Perra out of Roseville (threw for 296 and ran for 80 last night with 4TDs) and Wilkie would be better QBs in college, but then again I might now know what I'm talking about.
  9. Not sure why such a panic - we typically don't have that many commitments by the time the season is over. Also, most of the studs from last years class (Reyes, Kuksa, Norberg, etc) none of us had even heard of or knew they were being recruited by UND at this time. I'm assuming that will hold true this year as well. I will say I'm anticipating that a new coaching staff will have their work cut out for them, and this class may not be the caliber of last years, but I'm not ready to panic yet.
  10. Malik Bondon, MLB offeree, verbaled to SDSU.
  11. In your quote you didn't say it was what you wanted, you said "this team will treat it just like Kansas, just do your best, avoid injuries, and keep within 20". That says that you think the teams mentality is going into the game, not really what you clarified above. And like others, I disagree with that. Even though it is a game against a highly ranked foe, I will be disapointed if they "only" lose by less than 20. I want a win dammit.
  12. Northern Iowa just offered RB Raymonte Maynard. Both UNI and UND are in on this kid hard. He was one that I was hoping would stay under the radar and UND would land, but then he transferred to Chanhassen and has been getting a decent workload.
  13. Not watching the game today but seems I'm not missing much. And to think at the beginning of the season I was thinking 7-4 or at worst 6-5.
  14. Heard from a good source that Hooker has been playing a lot better in practice as of late, and the coaching staff is considering pulling his redshirt this year. Still not sure if it will happen, but he's been impressing lately.
  15. I can definitely agree on that. Hopefully some of the younger guys that those of us on here believe to be super talented (Stockwell, Bell, B. Miller, Adams, Sharp, Cheatom, etc.) can help with that. Still some puzzle pieces to put in that likely aren't here yet, but we'll see what this recruiting class can bring up........
  16. He's one guy that I'd really love for UND to land. He's got some skills.
  17. I see Freund has a tweet about getting first one - maybe a commit. Looking for anything positive at this point.
  18. Regarding Hooker, from a close source to him I heard that prior to practice starting they were going back and forth on what to do and ended up deciding that redshirting him was probably the best move. I think he really wanted to play, but understands the value of redshirting. Now this is nothing that people here haven't heard, but since they were very close to lifting the redshirt before practice started, but ultimately decided against it, I believe they are going to try their hardest to keep the redshirt on. However, the way the season goes may dictate whether or not they can do it.
  19. Appears he also had offers from Neb-Omaha, Pacific, Arkansas State and SFA. Plus two more that aren't named. http://www.grandfork...icle/id/275746/
  20. I tell you what - Cam Kuksa is quickly becoming the best player we have on defense. He was all over the place and I couldn't have been more impressed with him. I've heard that Cole Reyes was performing just as well as Cam before he was injured. I've also heard Norberg is the LB version of those two, so we should have plenty of young playmakers on the defense for years to come.
  21. Damn - was hoping to get the big stop and go in with momentum. EWU with the ball to start the second half right? Need to stop them.....
