  1. Jake was dressed and took shots in warmups. He stayed on the bench for the game, however. Blais said after the game that J. Parise has been playing well and he wanted to get him back in after the loss to Minnesota. He also said that Parise would probably start Saturday night.
  2. Does it sound like the WCHA is going to do anything about it? No.
  3. I guess there's a first time for everything.
  4. I wouldn't jump to conclusions about what UND has or has't done with regard to Sioux Hobey candidates. Voters in this part of the world aren't the people who have to be convinced to vote for Bochenski or Parise. That could be why we're not seeing it.

    Fun Fact

So get your rear end back here and start enjoying it!
  6. I assume that Federov is trying to be funny.
  7. Obviously, you've never been hit by a purse full of pucks.
  8. When Brown was here for the holiday tournament, they included an insert in their media guide that promoted Yann Danis for the Hobey. I know that the UND Athletics Dept. has done promotions for Sioux Hobey candidates in the past, but I'm not sure what they're doing this season.
  9. Because maybe it's not impossible?
  10. Sounds like something his mom wrote.
  11. Blais wasn't really clear about that. They might be debating among themselves online or with players on other teams. There are chat rooms and instant messaging services where such debates could occur. I guess I'd be surprised if any players were posting in the debates here. I know that at least some of the Sioux players read this board, which is almost a waste of time.
  12. And now Goon can resume his countdown to 100 goals.
  13. So what you're saying is that Taylor and Chapman could have just talked to themselves in a mirror and saved $30,000.
  14. Live from Joe DiMaggio's Restaurant in beautiful downtown Grand Forks. Tim Hennessy and Scott Swygman are the hosts with Coach Dean Blais. Blais said called George Gwozdecky at Denver and told him to have his players dress warmly because of the cold weather here. George thought Dean was trying to do a North Dakota psyche-out on him. Blais said it was -24 here during the day. George asked if that was with wind chill. Blais said, no, that's the air temperature. Blais said it would have been nice to tie the game on Saturday against Minnesota. The Sioux now have three home series and three away series. Early in the season, the last half of the year looked like a real grind, but now it doesn't look too bad. There was a lot of discussion about the waved off goal near the end of Saturday
  15. NDSU's excuse: Don't blame us. We hired the least sucky expert we could.
  16. Here's the money quote: I don't know about that. Every time I walk into Engelstad Arena, I think about how bad the Gophers stunk it up last time they were here.
  17. And there's the ego-driven part of NDSU's decision.
  18. That's the question I should have asked before we left the Twin Cities.
  19. I knew exactly what I was looking it. It was a car engine.
  20. Sorry, but due the nature of forecheck's car, which can't run for more than five miles without shutting down, I had to head back ASAP.
  21. Beer darts as an Olympic sport and Ralph Engelstad Arena as the nation's capital. I think I could live with that.
  22. Isn't he the guy who lost weight eating Subway sandwiches?
  23. Heck no! Since it was an NDSU grad, I'm sure he had to use five pennies instead of a nickel.
  24. I agree. This might be the best chance that UND has to put itself in the driver's seat for the WCHA title. I'd prefer that the Sioux travel to UMD needing only a split to stay ahead of the Bulldogs for the league championship. Also, it was at this time last season when UND's late-season swoon began with a home loss to Michigan Tech. At this time of the year, the Sioux need to take advantage of their home games and beat the teams they should beat. They need to keep the momentum going.
