I wouldn't jump to conclusions about what UND has or has't done with regard to Sioux Hobey candidates. Voters in this part of the world aren't the people who have to be convinced to vote for Bochenski or Parise. That could be why we're not seeing it.

When Brown was here for the holiday tournament, they included an insert in their media guide that promoted Yann Danis for the Hobey. I know that the UND Athletics Dept. has done promotions for Sioux Hobey candidates in the past, but I'm not sure what they're doing this season.

Blais wasn't really clear about that. They might be debating among themselves online or with players on other teams. There are chat rooms and instant messaging services where such debates could occur. I guess I'd be surprised if any players were posting in the debates here. I know that at least some of the Sioux players read this board, which is almost a waste of time.

I agree. This might be the best chance that UND has to put itself in the driver's seat for the WCHA title. I'd prefer that the Sioux travel to UMD needing only a split to stay ahead of the Bulldogs for the league championship. Also, it was at this time last season when UND's late-season swoon began with a home loss to Michigan Tech. At this time of the year, the Sioux need to take advantage of their home games and beat the teams they should beat. They need to keep the momentum going.
