  1. I noticed that they have a "Rover" position on the depth chart. Not sure if this means a major schematic change in the secondary.
  2. Weber is rolling in rolling through the CIT. Here are the second round results: SECOND ROUND Evansville 86, Eastern Kentucky 72 East Carolina 75, Rider 54 Canisius 84, Youngstown State 82 (OT) Bradley 77, Tulane 72 Northern Iowa 63, Illinois-Chicago 51 Weber State 87, Air Force 57 Sunday Games Kent State (21-13) @ Loyola MD (22-11) 3:00 pm UC Irvine (21-15) @ Oral Roberts (19-14) 8:00 pm
  3. Here is a link http://www.startribune.com/sports/preps/199727801.html
  4. We don't have a guard that can keep up with A James
  5. yes, UNI is hot from 3 - defenders don't look ready to get into position to defend at times..
  6. UNI has not been able to take advantage of UND's small lineup
  7. I like the foul trouble this line-up is causing.. this could pay dividends later in the game..
  8. did not look like a charge to you guys? close call..
  9. kind of funny on the moving screen call.. hell they could make that call on both team all game long..
  10. guards need to stop the penetration... last couple of buckets way too easy.
  11. Team looks off so far, and they need to find the three point shooter or it is going to be a long night that kid has a stroke.
  12. hope the camera work improves!!
  13. Post season basketball is all about guard play - hope Anderson and Webb have great games. I am interested to see how Jones defends the 3 point shooter for UNI.
  14. Link is up and running - really nice account creation and streaming process... no hassle at all
  15. It will be an interesting game to watch. UNI runs 3G and 2F which should match up well with the smaller lineup UND has used recently to create match up problems In the Big Sky. Will UND smaller line-up shutdown UNI? I am not sure going big will be an option.
  16. Wow!!
  17. UND's powerplay was 1/2. UM powerplay was 2/7. I am not sure what you are arguing. Is your point, if UND can not score on a 5 min major that they should get the opportunity again even if UM commits a penalty.
  18. I think people are noting that the whistles went one way after the 5 min major and during the last 4 periods (3rd, OT1, OT2 and OT3) of hockey 4 penalties against UND and 0 against UM. I live in the cities and listened to part of the game broadcast and a couple of times it was stated "Good No Call - you can make that call in OT". But, yet a PP goal decides the game. I think that is the part that most people are discussing. Unfortunately, a great game was decided by a greasy PP goal in the 3rd OT. Plus, I think any penalty is exponentially more difficult to kill the deeper you go into the game. So, a penalty that is 5 min major that is negated by a make up call and split between periods in the 2nd/3rd is nothing compared to a penalty called in the 6th period. I did not see the call in question and I am sure it was a penalty. Great game by all involved, best of luck to your girls program.
  19. I understand what you are saying but it is part of the process to establishing the basketball programs at the next level. I am very happy to see UND continuing to play. I hope that this type of tournament better prepares the team for the Big Sky tournament next year. UND had a great opportunity to beat Weber St this year. It came down to some bad possessions and decisions within the last 1:30 of the game. Taking a poor shot from the top of the key versus taking it the rim with 6 seconds on the shot clock, not providing enough spacing to allow a quick double team and steal. Not taking the open shot and then not rotating the ball to the top of the key and trapping the offense on the wing. All plays that the team gets to review and work on. Hopefully taking the next step this year in the CIT or winning the Big Sky next year and going to the NCAAs. Here is an interesting article with Oakland's coach Kampe talking about his approach to scheduling and it's role in developing the Oakland program. http://collegeinside...hree-prong-fork
  20. Tuesday Games Eastern Kentucky (69) @ Gardner Webb (195) Fairfield (174) @ Kent State (131) Savannah State (166) @ East Carolina (100) Rider (147) @ Hartford (188) Oakland (153) @ Youngstown State (187) Boston University (148) @ Loyola MD (98) Tennessee State (105) @ Evansville (106) North Dakota (224) @ Northern Iowa (82) Wednesday Games Elon (178) @ Canisius (117) Green Bay (159) @ Bradley (191) South Alabama (155) @ Tulane (179) Chicago State (320) @ Illinois-Chicago (169) Oral Roberts (151) @ UT Arlington (118) High Point (252) @ UC Irvine (121) Cal Poly (163) @ Weber State (85) Air Force (79) @ Hawaii (211) Well based on the RPI rankings it would appear that EKU, USAF, UNI, WSU and ECU are favored teams. I like the draw of UND playing UNI. Let's see if the team continues to improve. Beating nonconference teams within the top 100 is the next step for this program. Eastern Kentucky (69) Air Force (79) Northern Iowa (82) Weber State (85) East Carolina (100)

  22. First off - I would like to thank the sports information group. We can be a very demanding fanbase. But, I think that the SID may cause some confusion when he posts during the hockey games. Fans may think that they are suppose to follow him for game updates versus UNDMHockey. If people get in the habit of following him versus UNDMHockey. They don't realize that the other accounts are available. I find myself following individuals more than the generic sports accounts. Not sure why.. NOTE: I do have the football, basketball and hockey accounts.
  23. I would love to see UND host a CIT game - here is one guys thoughts on bracketology. No UND in his picks. http://www.bankrollsports.com/blog/cit-bracketology/
  24. Everyone knows about the NCAA and NIT. But, I did not know much about the two other tournaments. Here is a brief review (NCAA/NIT then - major conf schools go to CBI and mid major conf schools go to CIT: College basketball post season tournaments: NCAA – field of 68 NIT – this tournament has been around since 1938. Participating schools host games and has the final four team play in New York at Madison Square Garden. 32 teams are invited. CBI – College Basketball Invitational – This tournament started in 2008 and includes 16 teams. The teams are not seeded and hosting teams are determined based on bids. The finals are a best 2 of 3 format. Past Champs: 2008 – Tulsa over Bradley 2009 – Oregon State over UTEP 2010 – VCU over Saint Louis 2011 – Oregon over Creighton 2012 – Pittsburgh over Washington St. Past Champs: 2009 - Old Dominion over James Madison 2010 – Missouri St over Pacific 2011 - Santa Clara over E. Ten St. NOTE: UND lost in 1st round. 2012 – Mercer over Utah St. NOTE: UND lost in 1st round.
