Sumner is very underrated. If the Jacks need to throw that ball - he can do it very well.

I just got my season tickets ready to go - section 215

First, I hope for a healthy fall camp UND is thin on D/O Line. I am also looking forward to seeing how keys players return from injuries: O Line Darren Deneui - if he returns healthy they can move Kleason back to the inside. Dustin Adams - if he returns healthy provides depth and competition for starting roll D Line Mike Edwards - if he returns healthy they have three players completing at NG. Garrett Cary - in coming FR - I remember Muss saying that he thought that he might have a chance to play as a true freshman but he is injured so I expect him to RS. Other than that I hope we get a healthy return of the following players - they could have a big impact on the team: R.J. McGill, Garrison Goodman, Seth Stanchik and P. J. Sparks

Portland State just received funding for a new basketball facility. Nice to see Big Sky teams moving forward.. http://www.goviks.com/sports/2013/2/18/development_0218130254.aspx?id=219

I think the new field is very sharp and I hope that UND will be able to use the old turf in the IPF. As I stated last year, Grand Forks and UND are fortunate to have a company like Alerus on board supporting the center. It would have been nice to have a UND logo in the middle of the field but it is not the end of the world and the Alerus is paying a very competitive price for the naming rights. (see previous post from last year) I know that many people have been on Alerus Center for not allowing the UND logo. But, Grand Forks got a nice deal with the Alerus Center naming rights. The new arena in Lincoln, NE just signed Pinnacle Bank's to a $11.25 million, 25-year naming rights deal. I believe that they will be hosting Husker basketball. The Alerus Center deal with Grand Forks is $7.2 million for 20 years. I would like to see the logo, but that is strictly a decision for Alerus Financial. I believe that Alerus Center naming rights runs through 2021. Here is a list of other deals per http://journalstar.c...720f1535aa.html: 1.35 m/y - KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, Ky.: $13.5 million for 10 years 1.25 m/y - Comcast Center, Maryland, $25 million for 20 years 1.00 m/y - Sears Centre, Hoffman Estates, Ill.: $10 million for 10 years 0.93 m/y - CenturyLink Center, Omaha: $14 million for 15 years 0.76 m/y - Verizon Wireless Arena, Manchester, N.H.: $11.4 million for 15 years 0.56 m/y - Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, Iowa: $11.5 million for 20 years 0.50 m/y - United Spirit Arena, Texas Tech, $10 million for 20 years 0.50 m/y - Cox Pavilion, UNLV, $6 million for 12 years 0.46 m/y - Colonial Life Arena, South Carolina, $5.5 million for 12 years 0.45 m/y - Pinnacle Bank's, Lincoln, NE, $11.25 million for 25-year 0.36 m/y - Alerus Center, Grand Forks, N.D.: $7.2 million for 20 years 0.35 m/y - Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita, Kan.: $8.75 million for 25 years 0.31 m/y - Werner Park, Omaha, NE, $1.525 million for 5 years 0.30 m/y - Sovereign Center, Reading, Pa.: $9 million for 30 year NOTE: The City of Fargo/Gate City deal is field naming rights for $1m. As part of that agreement, it must have allowed the NDSU logo. I am sure that the deal with Alerus Center included field naming rights and I don't believe that the UND logo has ever been at midfield in the Alerus Center. I believe that they allowed the Sioux name in the end zones and I believe that are allowing North Dakota in the end zones with the new field. But, adding the NDSU logo at midfield is new this year for the Fargo Dome. Naming rights can get very interesting here are a series of articles about the recent Lincoln, NE naming agreement (NOTE: Pinnacle deal does not include Court naming rights): http://journalstar.c...c7550fa3b5.html http://journalstar.c...7eb83e8006.html

It's called coach speak - you need to listen to more postgame interviews.
-
You do realize that Beck said - let's take it outside and walked outside. He was not defending himself he went outside to fight.. So, this whole Breck tried to walk away does not make sense to me.
-
Unfortunately, that is how the NDSU faithful roll - I have had worse pm/emails and a hacked account - that fan base in unbelievable.
-
Thanks for slowing things down for me... I still think it is a flawed comparison
-
Not sure that I understand your comparison
-
Are thinking Ivery? McGill is coming back from knee injury and missed about half the season last year.
-
renewed my tickets for this year - ready to go

You made me go find it... I think the middle sentence fits the bill..and I included the entire post to make sure that I did not take it out of context. But, it is nice to see that SS message board has been able to talk some sense into you and you have come around nicely.. small steps on the path to enlightenment.
-
Seriously - you are going to make me look... damit
-
And you lose creditability when you rationalize no action by NDSU in the particular case.

For me your media comment would apply to the original incident and how it was handled. But, now that it appears that the message was not received by all. I do believe it is valid for the media to question how it was handled as much as we may not like it. I do believe there is a lesson to be learned here and that is his point.

Cool, go to the bunny board and discuss. Thank you for your interest in Fighting Sioux sports. The classic part is that you think of yourself as a moderate/reasonable fan and you are nothing more than a troll. Given the amount of garbage you have produced recently - I assume you are back at the summer job again. It is kind of ironic that you are posting about the game day experience in a thread about 8 players who broke the law and were coddled like children for this experience.
-
congrats SWSiouxMN - job well done and as 82SG said welcome to the UND Alumni family. You are such a big Basketball guy - feel bad that you are going to miss next years team.

WIU and DU are outliners that could be looking at other conferences. I am not sure the DU basketball program is going to be crazy about going to SF for basketball games.

I forgot about this one, which happened this spring: 3) Adding UND as a baseball member: Douple: Asked about UND and baseball affiliation with the Summit, Douple said it was “discussed among some members” but “(UND) hadn’t indicated anything.” “I know they were looking for a home for baseball, that was obvious because they joined the Big Sky,” Douple said. Baseball Coach: UND head coach Jeff Dodson, however, told the Grand Forks Herald newspaper, “We had applied for the Summit but I never heard anything personally from them.” http://www.thedickinsonpress.com/event/article/id/65690/

So, you would take the word of Summit admin over NDSU's AD also.... since somebody wasn't telling the truth in that case also. Or you have 1 common element in both - hmmmm.. or Colonel Muster did it with a rope in the kitchen. Who really knows.. The one thing odd about Douple and his statement about UND's request to leverage the nickname issue. IMO if you are going to make statements like that you had better back it up. If you don't back then up you look whiny and vindictive.
-
Most UND fans point to two major dust ups that have left Douple and Summit in a questionable light: 1) After USD was invited to join the Summit League. The NDSU AD and Douple were quoted in the media as to why UND was not being considered for membership. Unfortunately, the two quotes did not mess. Then Douple tried to clean up the media mess with an extremely ambiguous follow-up interview - which did not answer anything. So, the first introduction to the Summit League was a bit awkward. Again, none of the quotes came from UND administration. This mess was solely a communications mess between NDSU and Douple. 2) The second media mess was after UND cancelled the Summit League site visit and joined the Big Sky. Douple stated something to the effect that UND asked the Summit League to make joining the conference conditional upon the retirement of the Sioux nickname. A statement that UND leaders are on record denying. I know that the media (GF Herald) has tried several times to interview Douple and he has denied those requests. So, who is telling the truth - no one knows that this point. But, Douple has been given every opportunity to make a statement on record in GF. He could be taking the high road who knows. But, he came off as whiny and vindictive after UND cancelled the site visit. So the Summit League completely stumbled out of the gate and they have never recovered.

I follow Big Sky TF because I have family running for ISU and I would say that Sac St. is the class of either conference. NDSU has a nice program but they would be in a battle for second with NAU. After those three programs, it would be extremely close with UM, ISU, WSU, MSU, SUU and USD. The Big Sky is a much deeper/competitive conference. I am looking forward to seeing if being in a conference like the Big Sky with the IPF can help improve UND T/F.

Well, let's play a game just to make sure..
