With the retirement of Patrick Roy, some say he was the best ever. Giguere has four shutouts this playoff season, with Brodeur having a record six. Everyone on the list has had at least four shutouts in one postseason. Belfour did it in 2000 with Dallas. Brodeur is the only one on the list to have four or more shutouts twice in one postseason. This is one of the many reasons I would pick Brodeur.

I sent the article to several co-workers, most of them had no NDSU or UND ties. The general feedback from them, just reading the article was that he was a Nazi. I do not know if Ralph was or was not, I have not had any interest in looking into his story. The FBI is not all knowing either, Wounded Knee, OJ Simpson. I am not here to be critical of Ralph, but the media is another story. If more articles like what DMB wrote "Very few hit the press other than his taking care of Joe Louis' widow", the publics perception of Ralph may be different. The Political Correct BWL media is very biased IMO. The media unfortunate in some cases, does have a huge impact on society.

Was this Brandee Gibbs from Orono, MN, via Ohio State? She was a great High School player. She should help keep the Bison in the top four NCC teams for next year. Top four NCC teams could also be top four in the country. Curious to see who the other men's recruits UND has coming in. There will be lots of new faces on NDSU and UND next year.

Taylor is former UND player Marc's son. As a Soph, he was one of the better players on Hastings HS team this year. He played defense. Soph Joe Welch, former Gopher Dan's brother was his teammate, and the team is coached by papa Russ Welch. I also believe Taylor's sister played regularily on Hastings Girls JV hockey team this past winter as a 7th grader. Keller is a decent golf course. It hosted the 1959 PGA.

You would think that would give UND more incentive to win. That happened at my kids high school game. Another team that my kids team had just beaten, came to the game and cheered against them. My kids team being a huge underdog, defeated a previously undefeated team that night. And beat them bad.

What is the distance from USD to Sioux City, IA? I realize SC was a rival when Morningside was in the same conference.

The basketball comparision is valid, but the Big Sky is a very competitive conference in I-AA football. Montana has a couple of recent NC's. The SEC is I-A football.

If USD does go ahead with DI hockey, and plays their games in Sioux Falls. What does this do to Augustana's (Sioux Falls), position in the NCC. They would be the only NCC team without a hockey program. I can't see Auggie starting up a hockey program. Would Auggie even stay in the conference? They may be a better fit in the Northern Sun if USD hockey becomes a reality.

Interesting to see that Billeter at Augustana is also after him.

They would need an arena to play in or at least practice in near campus. Are Sioux Falls and Sioux City the nearest existing arena's? Every game could be a road trip for the student fans.

This is true, the company I work for has season tickets in the lower bowl and a corporate suite. Employees win tickets in a lottery format prior to the season. Many of the winners are going to their first hockey game. My season tickets have been in the upper level in the corner. It gets a little better up there. The State Hockey Tourney is not much better than Wild games. The center of the lower bowl is filled with Athletic Directors and School Officials. The Athletic Director from the School my kids played hockey at was never seen at a regular season hockey game. He was at most of the Football and Basketball games though. Even the students are gradually being pushed to the upper levels. After saying all this, these people are paying the same price to attend the games, they just enjoy them at a different level.

The Wild handed out thousands of "State of Hockey" flags last week. I was one of approx 19,000 at the Wild game when the original "State of Hockey" flag was raised to the rafters of the X. Tears of appreciation in many eyes. Minnesota is obviously the "State of Hockey".

With Martin Brodeur between the pipes, the Devils are in contention all the time. All Prince Patrick's records could be his by the time he is done playing. If Manny is hot for the series, he could be the difference. Wild in 6 games.
